With 4 years passing since the launch of Remnant: From the Ashes, Gunfire Games is now back with the highly anticipated sequel in their unique loot shooter/Soulslike franchise.
Peaking with 48k players back in 2019, the first game was considered a commercial success. And today, Remnant 2’s launch nearly doubled that peak with a new record of 83k concurrent players on Steam.
Not being a live service game like other popular co-op loot shooters such as Destiny and Warframe, Remnant 2 continues to lean more into its Dark Souls and Bloodborne roots – a smart move (similar to what we recently saw Fromsoft do with Elden Ring) and a great design decision by Gunfire that has resulted in 84% positive reviews from players and a great first day on Steam for Remnant 2.
