You Have 10 Seconds

You Have 10 Seconds 3: Official Announcement TrailerSep 22, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsAfter 2 years away from You Have 10 Seconds, I'm officially starting development on You Have 10 Seconds 3. The announcement trailer for it JUST released on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFrime30OwA Periodic updates on the game's progress and announcements for future teasers will all be posted on my Twitter account: https://twitter.com/tamationgames Thank you for supporting these games over the years and enjoying them so much to motivate me to create more!Disparity ReleasesOct 5, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsDisparity is finally out on Steam. This is a game I've been working on since 2015. The original Disparity was completed in Decemeber 2015, though was never officially released. In January this year I began recreating the game from scratch with new graphics, redesigned levels, more polished and smooth feeling gameplay, overhauled the storyline and gameplay mechanics and reached out to the incredibly talented TomboFry to remaster the soundtrack. This is the end result. It's by far my longest and most polished game and I'm very happy with the end result. If any small bugs or issues are found while playing you can post about them in the community hub and I'll fix them all as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone who's been supporting me and looking forward to this game since I announced it in February. It means a lot to me that I've been able to release this.Disparity ReleasesOct 5, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsDisparity is finally out on Steam. This is a game I've been working on since 2015. I'm glad people are looking forward to it. As far as how it's going, the gameplay of the main story is nearly done. I just have one more area to design, and then I can start working on boss battles and polishing out everything. Then after that I'm moving on to make an entire aftergame section which depending on your skill level with puzzle platformers, could be even longer than the main story mode of the game. To answer some questions, the game could take you anywhere from 2-6 hours to 100% depending on your skill level, whether or not it's your first time playing, whether or not you're speedrunning ect. But for a normal, first playthrough expect it take to around 4 to 6 hours to complete. It has multiple endings depending on what you do during certain sections of the game, and has an entire storyline explained in text cutscenes and through dialogue during one specific area. The art for the game is being made with a very sleek, polished pixel art look. Doing graphics for this game is taking me considerably longer than it takes to do art for the 10 seconds games or any Gameboy style games I've made, but so far it seems to be paying off. As for cost, there are no plans to release it for free at the moment, but it's going to be released for very, VERY cheap. Probably less than 1 or 2 dollars cheap. I want this game to be affordable for as many people as possible so lots of people can play it, while still being able to fund the next game I develop haha. And for a 4 to 6 hour long game with multiple endings and an aftergame, picking it up for less than a dollar isn't bad. I've been planning this game out now for nearly 2 years, I've re-written the stoyline a lot of times and have made several attempts before at creating this game, and looking back on the first few hours of the game I have so far it's the proudest I've been with one of my products in a very long time. As for how the game will release with Steam Greenlight being shut down, I'm working on a trailer for it this month to show off the game as it is right now. If the trailer is done and I'm really happy with how it looks before Greenlight is shut down, then I will allow it to go through the greenlight process. However, I'm not rushing it. I want this game to be as perfect as I can possibly make it before releasing it to the public. Even if it means it not ending up on Steam at all. Itch.io, Gamejolt and Good Old Games are fantastic platforms too, and I'd rather release a quality product there than a rushed product to Steam. Thanks for sticking around everyone New game on the way!Jan 24, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsIt's been a while since I last posted something here, huh? Hey everyone, after a few months of minor depression from the reaction 10 Seconds 3 got, I'm starting 2017 off by making a new game! It's without a doubt my biggest project yet, and I'm expecting it to take several months to finish. I've been working on it now for a few weeks and so far I love the way it's turning out. I can't reveal too much about the game just yet, but I'll be sure to post here and on my twitter page (@tamationgames) when I'm ready to formally announce it to the public. In total the game is expected to have around 6-8 hours of gameplay, so it's a huge improvement over the very short 10 Seconds series. There is an enormous focus on level design in this game due to the creative gimmick the entire game focuses around, so designing worlds can be a very tedious task, but I'm happy with how the first few worlds are looking so far! Thanks for all the positivity on the apology post, it really means a lot. New game on the way!Jan 24, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsIt's been a while since I last posted something here, huh? It's come to my attention that someone has uploaded a game titled "You Have 10 Seconds" to some app stores designed for mobile devices and are charging money for it. Despite using the same concept, character, gameplay mechanics and the exact same name, this is NOT published or connected in any way to me. The You Have 10 Seconds series has always been free to play on Steam and Itch.io, and if you've spent money to purchase it or a similar game under the same name, then you've been scammed and I'd suggest seeking a refund. Watch out for these, be smart please!Un-official IOS versions.Nov 13, 2016 - Community AnnouncementsHey again everyone. It's very clear to me now from comments I got that the Steam community is very sick of this series, and that is okay. However the stream of negative comments, personal attacks and insults I recieved through emails was rather disheartning. This series has always been free to play for people to experiment with and let me know what they thought, I'm aware that not everyone will like my games, and I totally understand why people would not want a third game on Steam. Thanks to everyone who left feedback on the greenlight page while it was up, once I get over the mild depression this little bump of negativity has caused I will be right back to work on creating a new, better game that hopefully more people will be able to enjoy. I'm by no means the greatest artist in the world, I try and make up for that a lot with music and gameplay, but I will try my best to create something good looking and interesting enough for Steam by 2017. Thanks to everyone who played and enjoyed 10 Seconds 1 and 10 Seconds 2, seeing all your YouTube videos, artwork and support truly has made these last few months some of the best of my life and I hope to improve and create more and better games in the future! I've had a few people ask me where to get the soundtrack for the game, and you can actually download the four songs in this game, and even the 11 songs in the sequel which aren't available anywhere else yet all on itch. https://tamationgames.itch.io/you-have-10-seconds-official-soundtrack It's a total of 15 different tracks in their entirety, so if you want to listen to the music without having to play the game or deal with the sound effects, you can get them here.
