Wrestling Revolution 3D

All Hands On DeckFeb 5, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsThe MMA version of this game has been adapted for a controller for the 1st time and is now available on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2289130/Weekend_Warriors_MMA/ Getting it in shape for Steam Deck also gave me an opportunity to update the original Wrestling Revolution 3D game for the 1st time since its PC release. There is improved controller support here too, allowing you to interact with every screen without resorting to mouse clicks. It now recognizes Xbox Series X & Playstation 5 as standard, with the "Calibration" option on standby for anything else. The game can also now recognize more than 1 such controller if you want to rope in others (although match setup remains nowhere near as advanced as what Wrestling Empire introduced!). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/29502859/e1f8e6af4c369b32b3a46f8fa2f76e71cc3f4005.jpg These older games have also finally lost their limp, as an improved walking animation is more in line with what we've seen in Wrestling Empire!2D Tags In!Jun 26, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsAn unexpected benefit of Wrestling Empire coming to Steam is that the original Wrestling Revolution has also been tagged in! It was originally supposed to be released on PC in 2012, but was down-voted into minus figures back when trolls dictated the narrative. Millions of downloads later, publishers are thawing to the idea of having the People's Champion pass through their territory. Too little too late to set the world on fire, of course, but it's good that diehard fans can at least complete their collection in peace. This old windowed Flash game is in no way representative of what's coming from the new Unity games, but at just $5 it's assuredly the best value-for-money wrestling sim anywhere. Not least because it now includes BOTH sides of the business in one handy installation, which is another unexpected benefit of the delay. https://store.steampowered.com/app/673910/Wrestling_Revolution_2D/Know Your RoleAug 16, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsIn the latest v1.623 update, multiplayer has been tweaked slightly to better represent your preferred control method. If you intend to include keys then you should set that as your default control method. Any detected controllers will then be considered additional to that. If you set the control method to "Gamepad" then keys will only be used for P2 if no other controller is available. I have also prevented the shoulder triggers from being used to exit a game, so they are now used exclusively for switching characters and can be safely used at any point in a match - including during rumble entrances to take control of the next entrant! Also notice that the costume cloning arrows have been restored to the editor even when a controller is used. However, they do still require you to click on them with the mouse. May I also take this opportunity to point out that the 2D remake of my prison sim "Hard Time" has just been released on Steam if you're curious to see how that turned out! The 2D version of Wrestling Revolution will follow if there is an audience for it.Know Your RoleAug 16, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsIn the latest v1.623 update, multiplayer has been tweaked slightly to better represent your preferred control method. Even if your controller is correctly identified as standard, you might abuse this feature to reconfigure the buttons to your liking!http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/29502859/291b999906b82d131d9b72dca93e3d20dbbf4a5d.jpgController ConfigurationsJul 24, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsTo accommodate the wide range of controllers being used, the latest update features a dedicated suite of "Controls" options - which includes a "Calibration" process to precisely set up your controller button by button. To celebrate its long-awaited debut (and to thank the long-time fans who made it possible), the Steam version will be the SAME price as the mobile app for a limited time only. It will then settle back into a price that still makes it the best value-for-money wrestling sim on the store - offering BOTH aspects of the business for the price of ONE of my games 10 years ago (how's that for inflation?). From multiplayer and modding to high body counts and high resolution visuals, this is the best version of the game that money can buy - not to mention the many features that you won't find anywhere else at any price! Anyway, don't make it an issue and get your ringside ticket now before everybody else shows up...Cheap SeatsJul 20, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsWrestling Revolution 3D may be bigger than ever on your desktop - but the price isn't! Apparently Mac users only account for 3% of players, but I know you're out there and it's good to be able to reach as many people as possible. Speaking of which, a quick glance at the existing wrestling games reveals that it will be the ONLY playable sim on Mac! Anything that differentiates it from the increasing competition is a bonus at this point. The Mac port is no slouch either, as I've yet to feed it anything it can't handle. It made light work of a 30-man Battle Royal in 2 rings with full shadows, which would normally make my PC cringe! Check out the "recommended" system requirements in the game's updated listing to see how I achieved this. http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/29502859/64826850234a1a342b6ee5fdbb1c8687a4ca9558.jpgNo Mac Left BehindJul 16, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsThe Steam releases are all about broadening the appeal of my games, and I'm pleased to confirm that now includes Mac as well as PC! The code I already had in place for NVidia's SHIELD handheld turned out to be a perfect fit, with every button being put to good use. I don't know how many people will end up using this particular controller, but it never hurts to spread the net wider. I've even had the game running on a TV controlled entirely by gamepad via the "Steam Link", which closely approximates a console experience on top of everything else we had to look forward to! That being the case, I'm pleased to upgrade the game's listing to "Full Controller Support". http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/29502859/ce046aff753bfba49946b19f43b94aef13918a01.jpgSteam Controller SupportJul 7, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsOnce I got my hands on Steam's official controller, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my game was compatible with it right out of the box! Free of any hardware limitations, this is arguably the best version of the game that exists. If you think you've seen it all before, you haven't seen anything yet! Not only can it handle up to 30 wrestlers in the ring as standard (with REAL shadows), but it also opens the door to gamepad control and multiplayer on a shared screen. Modders can also rejoice in the freedom to once again insert their own textures and transfer data, and we'll hopefully build up a community around that. The absence of an advertising business model means that this release will be for paying customers only. But if we can establish that there is still an audience for my work on PC, it will be the first of many superior ports that showcases the games at their best and broadens their appeal. Although I don't do release dates, Steam do - and we'll see you back in here in a couple of weeks!Late AccessJul 6, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsAfter touring the world of mobile gaming, Wrestling Revolution is finally coming home to PC where it all began!
