There is no form of death unknown to us; there is no form of terror beyond our means; there is no enemy outside our reach. We are the blade that hovers over the throat of the traitor; we are the bullet that awaits the heretic's skull; we are the poison in the throat of the alien. The Officio Assassinorum have arrived. Our second major DLC, Execution Force is now available to all players via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This DLC brings the might of four unique Assassin units to your disposal. Use them wisely in combination with your Grey Knights to decimate Nurgle’s despicable plague. Alongside Execution Force comes Update XIII, which brings a swathe of its own new content and changes. Notably a new squad of enemies, the Tainted Sons have entered the fray, posing a new fearsome challenge. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/2b839ce0aa608f3d85587590d1c2abecfab592cc.jpg Execution Force DLC Content Four new Assassin units are now available to be recruited to help in the fight against the Bloom. Further Assassins can then be recruited with Requisition: Vindicare: A long-range sniper specialist, this unit is fast and focused on critical ranged attacks. Eversor: Applies high stacks of Bleed and finishes enemies with a devastating Eviscerate attack. This unstable unit sacrifices his own health for high damage and extra actions. Callidus: Moves among enemies without detection to perform assassinations or scout maps and targets. Culexus: Nullifies enemy Boons and silences enemy psyker abilities. Her owns skills are empowered when allies use their Willpower. Additionally, she can reduce the Warp Surge meter and close Warp Portals. New Mission Types The Tentarus strain has grown stronger. Without intervention, the planet will be pulled into the warp and the Morbus will increase. Hive missions require you to destroy the Tentarus Hive found at the centre of the map. To do so, you must first destroy the five Hive Germs protecting it. When you encounter a Deathguard Vessel on the star map many will now offer you the chance to send a strike force to board the ship and disable it from within. Five new maps have been added so that players can board the vessel and destroy the ship’s generators before time runs out. Harness unique skills and unleash devastation using agents of the Vindicare, Eversor, Culexus, and Callidus Temples. These fearsome operatives bring unparalleled skills and abilities and will be available for deployment on any mission once requisitioned through progressing a timeline event in the main campaign. The strike force you send on a mission can contain any combination of Grey Knights and Assassins, but only one of each Assassin type. Vindicare {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/bdf9ecb4e66c645edc85ef3b8a2d59744b976194.jpg Master the art of precision and eliminate high-value targets from afar with the Vindicare Assassin. Armed with a powerful sniper rifle and unmatched marksmanship skills, this sniper specialist can neutralise enemy commanders and key threats with deadly accuracy. It’s Precision Targeting allows you to critically wound your enemies from a distance and apply Bleed effect, gradually draining their HP. The powerful Deadshot ability also allows it to kill any organic target instantly. The Vindicare’s armoury includes the Exitus Rifle (offering Precision Targeting), the Exitus Pistol (a reliable secondary weapon with unlimited ammunition), and the Stealthsuit – armour that gives access to a Stealth ability. Eversor {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/fef8cf535842bffb6ac8031d8edeccf917ccf68b.jpg Unleash unrelenting fury with the Eversor Assassin. This melee-oriented unit operates through its unique Sacrifice mechanic. The Eversor’s abilities are not capped by Willpower or Cooldowns but require the expenditure of HP which can be recovered through melee kills. The Eversor comes equipped with a Power Sword that applies bleed and can convert accumulated bleed into immediate high damage. It also carries an Executioner Pistol with a Needler attack which lowers enemy Resistance. The Eversor’s Synskin Bodyglove is armour which provides it with immunity to Autos. Culexus {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/7d420aa340e4ebb2491236d4532d8c0e3a5a6b64.jpg Harness the psychic nullifying powers of the Culexus Assassin. This anti-psyker specialist boasts complete immunity to psychic attacks, so is highly effective in countering enemy psykers and Daemonic units. It can also exert a level of control over Warp Surges. Its equipment includes the Animus Speculum, a helmet that functions as its sole weapon and the Synskin Bodyglove armour. Callidus...Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is getting a free update with new enemies and gear, seems to be teasing more DLCJul 15, 2023 - PC GamerSince its release in 2022, turn-based tactics face-brutalizer Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters has received a string of free updates, with another due this month. We’re delighted to announce a free update with additional content and improvements will be making its way to Warhammer 40:000®: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters on 25 July! To ensure that Strike Team Xiphos is sufficiently prepared, here’s an overview of what you can expect: Enemies The polluted ranks of Nurgle’s army continue to bloat and spread, this time giving rise to the Tainted Sons. This foul ilk is a new spawn group consisting of: The Nurgling Swarm Exclusive to the Tainted Sons spawn group, the Nurgling Swarm applies buffs to all Daemons, making it a priority target. The Plague Surgeon This single-target support unit will heal and buff its allies and further multiply the benefits of their mutations. While most frequently seen accompanied by the other Tainted Sons, the Plague Surgeon is also known to appear and aid other clusters of enemies. The Beast of Nurgle This mid to late game unit is a physically commanding enemy that will barrage you with melee attacks while soaking up damage for other Daemons. Allow it to get close, and it will immobilise your Grey Knights and focus them down until they are eliminated. Do not allow this fate to befall your units. The Tainted Sons generally have high HP and ready access to Mutations, but low Armour and Resistance. This proclivity for Mutations appears as a Tainted Sons Boon status effect. The Boon has a 15% chance to cause the unit to Mutate when attacked, so dealing high damage bursts will be key. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/b43dd4fd2df25bdd73ac47f95c8bebfc157c3e3c.jpg Warp Surge Events In addition to the new enemies, the battlefield itself grows increasingly dangerous. Two new Tentarus Strain Warp Surges are being detected: The Generous Effusions Warp Surge causes enemies to explode for three turns, buffing the health of their nearby allied units (+3HP). The Roiling Mutations Warp Surge event will cause all enemies on the map to mutate. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/c384176e91b48259961c66df1630834644a15525.jpg Wargear Gear up for battle with brand new Wargear options for your Grey Knights. Strategic deployment of this additional equipment will turn the tide in your favour in the fight against Nurgle’s plague: Purgation Skull This Wargear Purges a single enemy up to a range of 10 tiles, ignoring cover. At Tier 2, it afflicts Burning for three turns which becomes five turns at Tier 3. Autoloader Skull The autoloader skull executes all its targets Reload abilities (both if the Dreadnought is targeted) at a range of up to 10. Tiers 2 and 3 each increase the ammunition of the Wargear by 2. Rad Grenade The Rad Grenade deals a Blast Attack at range 10, afflicting enemies with the Bleed 3 effect. This becomes Bleed 4 and 5 at Tiers 2 and 3 respectively. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/676b2efa77b6136310fb93e1cc4ee1390a85a65e.jpg We trust that receiving this intel ahead of Nurgle’s machinations will allow you time to prepare. More information about the upcoming changes will be reveale...Update XIIMay 25, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsAve Imperator, Force Commanders. We are delighted to have the Update XII trailer showcased during the Warhammer Skulls Showcase today! In case you missed it, you can discover all the additional content available now for free in Update XII down below. https://youtu.be/-rj5p-aoGS0 In the name of the Emperor, you are duty bound to assume your role in the new Bloom Assault mission type and prepare to engage a new enemy in Nurgle’s base and foul army. Bloom Assault Missions Vakir’s field agents have collected additional Bloom Seeds and stored them in Sanctified Servitors within an Astra Militarum outpost. This outpost is being relentlessly assaulted by the forces of Nurgle and the Baleful Edict must intervene. Bloom Assault missions are an alternate Seeding mission type where you will escort a precious cargo of Bloom Seeds, dropping in to save as many as possible while destroying enemy reinforcements. New objectives and Glorious Deeds will provide additional boons if you are successful in protecting this vital research resource. These new missions will become available after completing the “Research the Seed” objective in the Campaign. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/0c3f54d9d8ef6dc3a19b74ee94d70aa08aed1b26.jpg The War Dog Stalker Furthermore, the Baleful Edict’s Prognosticars have identified a new daemonic presence deploying across the sector. The War Dog Stalker is a deadly threat, with an arsenal of weaponry which can be deployed at any range; their Daemonbreath Spear is a Melta weapon which can quickly vaporise armour at a distance, whilst their Reaper Chaintalon offers both offensive and defensive close-combat capabilities. Despite the War Dog Stalker’s size, Force Commanders should be wary of their mobility on the battlefield and the ferocity with which they hunt their foes. The War Dog Stalker is the last Technophage Elite unit that you will encounter. They are powerful ranged combatants with single-target and blast weapons, so you will need to get in close and use body part targeting or go for an all-out assault with Armour Break to defeat these vicious foes. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40661601/a92bbc0dbd9099cc7a3d524582ff6d216d91da49.jpg The War Dog Stalker is equipped with the following: Daemonbreath Spear: a medium-range Melta weapon that deals high single-target damage and vaporizes Armour. Reaper Chaintalon: used for offense and defense with a powerful but narrow melee strike and a wide, sweeping Overwatch-like ability (see Sweeping Talon). Havoc Multi-Missile Launcher: a weapon that can hit multiple targets in an area. Abilities: Sweeping Talon: an Overwatch-like ability that protects the War Dog Stalker from melee attacks from Power Armoured Units in a specific direction by knocking them away as they enter or act within its range. Can be Disrupted or waded through by the Dreadnought or Terminator Armoured Player Units. Damages all units within range when it triggers. Cover Shot: the War Dog Stalker gets a Cover Shot with its Missile Launcher on Amb...Frontier Steam sale offers top strategy and management games for cheapApr 7, 2023 - PCGamesNWe love games here at PCGamesN (the clue's in the name), and we love great deals on cheap games even more.
