[HOTFIX 3.04] - Progress-impeding bugJan 13, 2021 - Community Announcements- Progress-impeding bug Hi there beautiful people, Today we’ve got a quick hotfix for a bug that was reported multiple times. The axe will no longer respawn in the sledge hammer’s location, and will always spawn properly. A wonderful day to all of you! [PATCH NOTES 3.03] Various bug fixes and additional autosave slots.Dec 9, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi there wonderful people, Today we're releasing a new patch that will fix a variety of bugs, and we're adding more autosave slots and a progression % displayed when hovering a save, so that it's a bit easier to manage progression, or missed events/details. The progression % only takes mandatory events in consideration. Here's a rundown of what is fixed in this patch: Fixed a problem where players could get stuck because of a weird giant doors scaling bug. Fixed a crash that could occur while navigation in the Key Bind UI. Players will now be able to properly map the arrow keys. Fixed a bug where the player could enable the stress meter where it was supposed to be disabled. Fixed a bug where the player could be teleported in the basement when leaving the tunnel under the mirror room. Added 3 additional auto-save slots. Added new safety checks that will prevent doors from getting stuck for no apparent reason. That's it for this patch. Thank you to everyone who contributed with bug reports! A wonderful day to you all![PATCH NOTES 3.02] Various bug fixesNov 12, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi there wonderful people! We've released a patch that fixes a plethora of bugs. Here's a rundown of what this patch fixes: Made some minor changes in Chapter: Rakan. Made some minor changes of key items locations. Fixed a bug that unloaded the room above the garage when in it in Chapter: Dolores. Fixed a bug that opened all lights in the babyphone clock puzzle. Fixed a bug where the garage door to basement would both be opened and locked. Fixed a bug that caused some dialogues to repeat. Fixed a bug that caused some subtitles to be displayed in english in all languages. Fixed a bug that caused the compass to spam the player with its respawn notice. Fixed a bug that could prevent progress in Chapter: Rakan, if the player didn't drop the flashlight after getting attacked by the tar monster in the psychiatric ward. Removed the cross blocking the door in Chapter: Dolores. It could block the door in some rare circumstances. Fixed some visual bugs. Fixed some collisions that could get the player stuck. Fixed some other various minor bugs. If you encounter other issues, be sure to report them through the Steam forum or official Discord, and we'll fix them as soon as we can. [PATCH NOTES 3.01] Softlock fixesNov 2, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi there! We've released a new patch that fixes the following softlocks that could prevent progress. If this happened to you, simply load your game and it should be fixed. All dynamic items that can respawn will now properly respawn in the storage room. It is no longer possible to pick up a beer box in the grocery store that cannot be dropped. In Chapter: Dolores, the door leading to Dolores' room will be properly unlocked and can no longer prevent progress. Fixed a rare bug where the player would fall under the floor after the scene started by picking the mask piece next to the white bird. If you encounter other issues, be sure to report them through the Steam forum or official Discord, and we'll fix them as soon as we can. [UPCOMING CHANGES] — Major bugsNov 1, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi there! We just wanted to let everyone know that we'll be working on fixing MAJOR bugs reported by the community ASAP. Here's the small list of the ones we've got in sight at the moment: - Some dynamic items required for progress can disappear forever (sledge hammer, compass) - The door in chapter: Dolores to Dolores' room can be locked forever - Grabbing the beers in the grocery store too fast can cause a bug where you cannot drop them again, and this impedes progress (loading the last auto-save will fix this one easily though) Note that hardware-specific bugs take a long time to fix, we're looking into them, but we have no ETA. We will always be looking for other major bugs, the list above is not final. Thanks a ton for your support you wonderful people![HOTFIX] Bug preventing progress in Lucy's chapterOct 29, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi there! A major bug preventing progress in Lucy's chapter was rapidly discovered and reported by the community. Fixed: - A collision problem in the secret sewer-like room under the carpet in Lucy's chapter prevented progress in the chapter. Thank you for quickly reporting the issue.Visage is out NOW!Oct 29, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsVisage is now leaving Early Access! As of now, the game will be updated to Full Release. If the game doesn't update automatically, make sure to restart Steam. To make sure that you are on the correct version, go to the Main Menu and look for the version number to the bottom right, and make sure it's "3.0". THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: if you start a game on version 2.2, it will be DELETED once it is updated to 3.0. Two New Chapters The full game now contains four chapters, making for a total of 15+ hours of gameplay! New Achievements To reflect the change to the full version, 10+ new achievements have been added, for a total of 27 achievements! Save files Because there have been MAJOR changes since the last update in Early Access, we are forced to delete the Early Access save files, as they will be corrupted and no longer usable. Enjoy the spooks! We wish you a wonderful Halloween, filled with horror, gore, and torment, but do remember to play safe!Visage is coming out!Oct 23, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsThe wait is finally over! Hi there wonderful people! Our most sincere apologies for the radio silence over the past months. Our focus was entirely targeted on finishing the game, and that we did! AND THERE IT IS! The wait is finally over! The full release is coming on October 30th on Steam, just in time for Halloween! Early Access vs Full Release The Early Access currently available on Steam contains two chapters, for a total of approximately 8 hours of gameplay. The full release will contain four chapters, for a total of approximately 15 hours, doubling its content. Price update The Early Access was an opportunity to support development of the game, and since it did not contain all the content of the full release, we did not want to charge full price. Now that the full release is coming, the price will be updated to full price. *If you already own the Early Access, the full release will come to you freely as an update on release. On the 28th of October, the base price will be updated from 24.99USD to 34.99USD. This might be slightly different depending on your currency. IMPORTANT NOTE: Save files The game has changed quite a bit since the last Early Access update, and unfortunately, as mentioned in the Early Access description on Steam, we have no choice but to remove save files coming from the Early Access. If you have saved files, they will be deleted on release (October 30th). Release Announcement Trailer Development Update — A sneak peek of the upcoming stuffFeb 14, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi there, beautiful people! Hope y'all having a great day! Many of you have been asking to see some more "meaty" news, and for good reasons, so we thought today would be a good time to do that, since we've got some bigger news. The Big News The big thing is that we've now got extra hands that'll help us on porting the game on consoles! We are super thrilled to have partnered up with a very talented team that will give us a well needed boost in our productivity, so you guys can enjoy the game as soon as possible. Release date The ultimate question that still remains to be answered! We will be releasing on all platforms simultaneously (PC/Xbox One/PS4), and we're currently aiming for a release somewhere around summer 2020! We will give you the exact date as soon as we are all set with every certification process and what not. Performance Our last efforts went on the general optimization of the game on many aspects. We’ve managed to cut down the amount of polygons by almost half without affecting the overall integrity of our assets. We went a bit overboard on our visual presentation to a degree were it can affect the performance without giving you any additional candies for the eyes, so we decided to take care of this aspect. Ultimately, more players will be able to enjoy the game without the necessity of having a monster computer. Engine Upgrade As part of our optimizations, we also needed to upgrade our engine’s version to 4.24. What does that mean for us? Well some of our work get messed up in the process of migration, so we need to do a complete QA of everything in the game to make sure nothing is broken or behave in an unattended way. Unfortunately, this takes some time out of our planning and this is not something we can mitigate. You can rest assured, we’ve already managed to fix pretty much everything. The state of Visage The main content of Visage is pretty much done. What remains to be done is a moderate amount of sounds integration and all that pesky bug fighting and QA. The bigger part of the development is still to be done on consoles. We have to make sure the game is running smoothly on both platforms without sacrificing too much of the visual aspect. New stuff Oh *hell* yeah! We surely have done other things other than bug fixing. Here's a sneak peak of the new stuff we've been working on! The images contain some amount of spoiler, so if you want to avoid that, we suggest that you don't look at them, but hey... Who would be able to resist the temptation ;) Here goes! Thanks for your enthusiasm and tremendous patience about our game! We're trying to make it the best it can be! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33665657/79830774937f67fcb4af3ba527f07d2b9d73a4c9.jpg {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33665657/4adf4b49d14be2b1d4b9bb59e8869cc7b313f3dc.jpg {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33665657/c2f43df9a46328b7ff9beea91a4b480f500980d2.jpgPatch Notes [v2.11] — Bug fixes and adjustmentsJul 11, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsOnce again, we've fixed a bunch of bugs that have been reported by our awesome community! Those who couldn't break things easily with the sledgehammer will now be able to. We have made some changes to prevent the game from crashing after the final scene. Some players still experienced an invisible collision when trying to cross the bridge with a cross. It should be fixed, but we have never been able to reproduce the issue. If this happened to you, please let us know if it now work properly for you. Based on our own testing, and on the bug reports from the community, we believe there should no longer be any bugs that prevents progress. NOTE: If you are having trouble with invisible frames during the frames puzzle, you will unfortunately need to load an earlier saved game. A wonderful day to all of you!Patch Notes [v2.004] — HOTFIX for candles and crossesJul 7, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi there, We were notified of the following major bugs that prevent progress, and they should be fixed. Here's the recap: There were still some rare occurances where the player would be killed on a ladder. Hopefully, it's really fixed now. Picking the basement key twice should no longer be possible. Fixed a problem where placing frames on the walls would cause a bug with their locations. Fixed multiple bugs associated to placing candles on sockets. (this could prevent players from progressing) Fixed some lightswitches that would have wrong states. The crowbar no longer has the ability to fly around, glitching in every possible way. Today we're releasing the moderately big update V1.4. It does NOT contain NEW CONTENT, and is focusing on fixing the vast majority of bugs we've corrected over the last month, and adjust some stability issues. Notable changes All items interaction bugs should be fixed All languages should display correctly all around the application All (or most) collision bugs should be fixed Saved states should be a lot more stable So basically, everything concerning the currently available chapter should be fixed. If you are still experiencing issues, we recommend that you start a new game, and that you report the issue in the forums or on our official Discord server (discord.gg/visage) Why is it taking this long to release the next chapter? We'll keep this one short and concise and release a full development update soon. We knew when we released the Early Access that the upcoming chapter would be the most time consuming chapter, but our anticipations were still lackey. Development-wise, the next chapter is incredibly more challenging on a technical level, and bugs kept on piling up. We are close to what we believe is a polished version on both technical level and gameplay level, but there's still some work to be done. What's left to do, you ask? - Bug fixing, of course - Many players have been praising the game's sound design, and we believe there's some work to be done still in the upcoming chapter to meet the expectations - Finish some non-story content (achievements, collectibles, and such) When should we expect the next chapter? Once again, we apologize for our vagueness. It should be coming soon ;). A wonderful week to all of you!
