Alongside the standard array of bug fixes and accessibility options, you’ll find seven brand-spankin’ new vending machines that will open up some fun and interesting playstyles. The Inflationator, for example, is all about quantity over quality, offering an escalating bonus for every job taken in the run. The Large Loss Nullifier, on the other hand, is all about scoring that one big fuck-up, turning your biggest penalty on the invoice to a positive number. You meant to do that, right? Rigggghhht. In addition to these are five new Omen upgrades. Some are geared specifically to supporting the use of Vending Machines, others designed to soothe specific pains, like Fatal jobs (go on, have a go at repairing the Reactor, don’t be scared). You’ll also find a new ship type, and a jukebox in the Speakeasy, where you can choose the soundtrack to your work day. Full change log below: Vending machines Added 7 new vending machines: Build-a-Gumball - Get the Gumball you want, no questions asked! Inflationator - Adds 3% to the invoice for each completed job. Large Loss Nullifier - Sets the highest breakage value on the invoice to 1. (Disabled on boss ships) Small Loss Flipper - Flips the smallest loss on the invoice to positive. (Disabled on boss ships) Faction Cookies - Increases the chance of customers being the selected faction. Faction Milk - Adds a 20% bonus to jobs who's customer matches the set faction. Card Radar - Alerts the owner when a nearby ship contains a trading card. Omen Upgrades Added 5 new Omen upgrades: Vending Variety (3 Tiers) - Increase the number of Vending Machine options by 2, 4, 6. Nap Time - Sleep through first R.E.N.T. Deliveries will arrive when you wake up. Workshop Coupon (2 Tiers) - The first/two purchase(s) in Logistics Management is discounted by 50%! Second Wind - Survive one fatal job! Wake up at the end of the day. Extra Vending Machine Slot - Unlocks a vending machine slot in the Speakeasy. Other Music player. Found in the Speakeasy, you can now play any track from the games soundtrack whilst you work! Added new ship. The Schlepper. Reduced the Chunky bonus to 80%. Colour blind friendly mode Level pull LED has R/G letter indicating is it's Red or Green. Donut orders no longer affected by lighting. This should help with contrast between colour palette. Gumballs use an alternate colour palette (Color-Blind Safe by IBM). Added option to disable skipping dialogue when dialogue has yes/no options. Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop has now been released and is available to exchange for a reasonable sum of currency, as is customary. It’s been a wild few years getting here and the fact that it’s out there in people’s hands now doesn’t feel quite real. In some ways, it’s felt like a private little fever dream, so the fact that you folks are sharing in it now is wonderful and strange and viscerally terrifying. Sincerely, we hope you like it. We’ve poured our hearts into this project, so more than anything we’d love to know that we brought you folks a neat experience. It’s all we’ve ever wanted for it. So, if you picked it up, just know that we’re grateful beyond words. A looming, cosmic kind of grateful. The kind that might send you mad if you made eye contact with it for too long. Hmm. Anyhow. I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to all the peeps who played the demo and gave us feedback and suggestions. It was completely invaluable in shaping the game as it stands and we couldn’t have done it without you. If you did play the demo, we hope that you feel we listened and that you enjoy all of the changes we made at your behest. You helped us a ton, and we think you’re pretty cool for that.
