Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR

THIS APP IS NOW RETIREDJan 20, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsAs some of you may noticed (or did not) since January 19th, 2024 - Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR & VR DLCs are NO LONGER available in the Steam store. Everyone - who owned a UFS VR (app) or VR DLCs - received the same content in Ultimate Fishing Simulator (app) and all owned DLCs. The VR app will be no longer updated (besides the last patch) and is officially EOL & EOS (end-of-life, end-of-support). The reason for that as we said in the previous announcement is in general to UNITE everyone, so finally NON-VR players can play with VR players - faster updates, easier support, and so on. So here is a short sum-up of how it worked. IF YOU HAD THIS > YOU GET THIS: Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR > Ultimate Fishing Simulator + VR DLC Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR: Moraine Lake DLC > Ultimate Fishing Simulator: Moraine Lake DLC Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR: Kariba Dam DLC > Ultimate Fishing Simulator: Kariba Dam DLC ...and so on! :) So this is the version that will be updated for a LONG time, will receive a new VR system and more. Make sure to install it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/468920/Ultimate_Fishing_Simulator You can read really exciting news that we revealed including Ultimate Fishing Simulator Remastered (Free update) + rework from scratches of the VR system: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/468920/view/3961545941308341988 But what with your saves and progress in Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR? It's lost? NO, ITS NOT! We just released an update to the game which detects if you played the Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR. IF you did and you have saves you can MIGRATE them to the Ultimate Fishing Simulator game. Important: Migrating will OVERRIDE your existing saves from the UFS NON-VR game, so choose wisely! If you don't want to decide now and do that later, you can do this by using our external windows (.bat) script file available > HERE Game Update | 2.3.24.01:630Jan 7, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsChangelog: Implementation of the new LWR 3.0 for all Florida fish*: Atlantic goliath grouper Atlantic tarpon Black drum Black sea bass Blackfin tuna Blacktip shark Gray snapper Little tunny Red drum Spinner shark Tiger shark Blue Marlin Mahi-Mahi Yellowfin Tuna Fixed Blue Marlin not biting (circling the lure/bait) Fixed Atlantic Tarpon not biting (circling the lure/bait) Fixed Aquarium UI missed text Fixed Boat colliders Big Tiger sharks show on the water's surface instead of in the hands Changes in fish spawns (to cover more areas) Fort optimization Ports optimization Performance optimization Fixed Blacktip shark missing in lodge Fixed lionfish in the lodge Fixed aquarium fish statistics Fixed gray snapper in the encyclopedia Length-Weight Relationship 3.0 (LWR) Hello everyone, as you can read above we just implemented a new LWR for Florida fish species that is as true to real life as possible. We received a lot of information regarding fish not having proper weight or length, or their look (scale) not being properly related to other weights. So we took a little investigation into the system, tested a few different things, how the scale works, and created a few kaiju-sized monsters... {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/1eddd2ef96b16fe8e391623d76465c747492baae.png In the end, we discovered that some additional factors influenced the fish scale and weight. After a short discussion, we decided to make huge modifications to this system, and right now each fish in Florida has an individual correlation to length and weight. That means each fish from Florida right now has a different mass gain in kilograms per centimeter . Moving further, we all know that if in real life you catch 10 fish and hypothetically each of them is 60 cm in length, each one of them would have a different weight. So, we also implemented this in LWR 3.0. That means every fish in specific weight can vary in weight in range from 0.9 to 1.05. To show that more in numbers, let's give you an example. Blacksea Bass | Length 30 cm | Randomizer: Off The LWR 3.0 will tell us that the weight for 30cm Blacksea Bass should be 0.52 kg. And here comes the randomizer. Who likes to catch 30cm fish, with 0.52kg weight whole the time? Randomizer allows to generation of fish that are wary in weight. Blacksea Bass | Length 30 cm | Randomizer: ON Fish weight range: 0,468 - 0.546 kg The bigger the fish, the wider "range" will be. But you get the point I hope! Is this available for all fish? If NO. why? This is now only available for fish listed in the changelog. It's due to a lot of data that we need to prepare and count. For Florida, we simply created the LWR charts but the game didn't calculate it properly which caused so many issues with Tiger Shark. But - don't worry. We will implement this system to all 136 fish species in the Ultimate Fishing Simulator. Once again, we would like to thank you for your feedback, support, and time to tell us what is in your opinion not working properly. Sometimes fixes ar...Game Update | 2.3.23.12:282Dec 28, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsFixed Blue Marlin black screen; Fixed Red Lionfish Trophy Lodge description; Fixed Red Lionfish encyclopedia icon; Blue Marlin trophy lodge distance extended; Tiger Shark trophy lodge distance extended; Thank you for sending so many logs regarding the black screen. We found the issue and fixed it (I hope permanently) :)Game Update | 2.3.23.12:273Dec 27, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsChangelog Game Update | 2.3.23.12:273 New spawning system (Florida); Added and changed values in lures & baits for Florida fish species (ex. some of them were listed as a "Best For" but hook size in this didn't even fit fish size) ; Added once again Blue Marlin (probably fix for a black screen on catch summary screen); Changed fish bait/lure radius distance; Changed attracting area radius for lures/baits; Changed boat trolling speed to be a little slower; Improved loading times (Florida); Improved performance (Florida); Fixed gray snapper encyclopedia icon; Fixed barracuda transparency (trophy lodge); Fixed: Pinas Bay, Pinas Bay Ocean, Baikal Lake, Baikal Lake winter not working in French, Polish and Russian languages; Fixed add to Aquarium UI; Fixed Blacktip Shark in the trophy room, Spawn points / locations First of all, we would like to thank you all for your feedback and for reporting many issues that allowed us to fix them - it is always a pleasure to find & kill "bugs" when we know where to search them :) But going to merit. We would like to tell you that BIG fish have a LOW chance of spawning close to the shore / starting location. If you would like to go on a "hunt" you need to take a boat :) Here is the current spawn-point "legend": {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/dba6fa8c72764fc05d6f3dea76c5ca4075587964.png Here you can see how many spawn zones are currently in Florida: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/4365b38223d765e7f73d61d481e50d782ef945b5.png And for comparison here, you can see Betty Lake: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/a15e3a5527da53530c3fca1aeede27df5e6f15f9.png The reason why Florida feels so empty is simple - the map is huge. I mean, literally, it's the biggest map in the game - over 50x bigger than Betty Lake. So if we would put the same amount of fish on Florida that is on Betty Lake or any other map, even Pinas Bay Ocean - it would feel EMPTY. Here is a small comparison. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/f3f862afb5eea19e56821aae4ac8d29b61618684.png BUT WHY WON'T YOU DEVELOPERS JUST ADD MILLIONS OF FISH? It would just kill game performance at this stage. Ultimate Fishing Simulator is a pretty old game, done on Unity 2017 - and updating the game on this version is just a developer nightmare (hands up - who can confirm). So with this in mind we need to find the BEST possible situation for you - Players. Waters need to feel populated, just full of life, and at the same time - run well on low-end PCs, etc. So it's a really hard task but we won't say "Yeah Guys, nothing happened". We made a lot of mess with this one, but from good thing is - that we had a few "night runs" and we developed for example new spawn system for Florida, which can be used on other maps :) So what's next? We are here for you. We will continue reading your feedback, especially regarding Florida so this map can reveal its full potential (RIP tic-tac multiplayer -.-). So if you have any thoughts, tips, feedback, bug reports, or just want to drop your angry, mad message - just ...Game Update | 2.3.23.12:251Dec 25, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsAdd more spawn points for: Yellowfin tuna, Blackfin tuna, Mahi-mahi Fixed the "pause" menu issue for 3 languages: French, Polish, and Russian Fixed gray snapper not showing on baits/lures descriptionGame Update | 2.3.23.12:241Dec 24, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsChangelog: Added missing lures support (ex. Sakura lures); Added more fish that can be attracted by Dragonfly, Fly, Maggot, Red Worm, Wax Worms, Leech on Florida; Improved efficiency of live bait and cutbait for sharks; Added more Blue Marlin spawns on the deep waters. Add more fish spawn points in the starting locations & coastal locations Fixed Atlantic tarpon Issues we are aware of right now: The big "catchable" area of Florida requires more fish spawn points without dropping the performance and making loading times longer. This one is a complex task but we have an idea for it right now. Gray snapper icon showing black drum in the encyclopedia Hook prompt should have few options, so everyone can pick what they can Important note about Hook Prompt Hook prompt information has 3 states: Hook is too small Hook is too big Hook is proper The "check" for hook/lure size is only in a radius of 50m. That means, the system is checking only fish 50m from the hook/lure: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/0ceccf7df4cfada831cd091600c402450248adc6.png But besides hook size/lure size, you need to remember that each lure and bait attracts different fish. So if no fish meets hook/lure requirements, you will get the "user" smaller/bigger hook prompt but besides the hook/lure size, there is also a BAIT/LURE type. So if you are using for example a float with a big hook ex. #5/0 In the starting location, you will get a prompt about using smaller hooks as fish in that area, are not mostly not attracted by live bait or cutbait. So you need to remember about picking proper bait for the area you are fishing. Big fish are spawned in 95% of areas accessible only by boat. You can check the bait/lure-attracted fish list in each item section: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/939dbeb245b2c1b29886ff748e01d1ee06e4bbfa.png It is probably the last update today, as Christmas is starting and we would like to spend this 2-3 day with our families but you can always reach us on Discord and I will try to reply to you ASAP. We should release today another one or two updates that will contain: More fish spawner/population to the map Fixing Atlantic tarpon And then: Fixing issue with some lure & baits not working/missing for new fish Fixing black screen issue after fish is caught* *With the black screen issue, we need your help. As we can't reproduce this issue on our side we, would like to ask everyone who will run into this issue to: send in-game an F5 bug report or if that doesn't work: Send output_log.txt to [email protected]. The log file can be found here: C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\PlayWay\UltimateFishing We would like to apologize for the issues. Welcome back to our "DID YOU KNOW" series! As we continue to explore the fascinating world of fish in the Florida DLC for Ultimate Fishing Simulator, we're excited to introduce the final guests. This week, we're diving into the realm of reef fish! Get ready to meet four remarkable species that bring the vibrant underwater landscape of Florida to life in our game. Each of these fish presents a unique challenge and adds a fascinating dimension to the fishing experience. Let's cast our lines and discover these amazing creatures! Great barracuda The Great Barracuda, the largest in the Sphyraena family, grows up to 2 meters and weighs as much as 50 kg. This formidable predator is known for its lightning-fast speed, capable of reaching bursts of 35 km/h (22 mph) when hunting. With sharp, fang-like teeth and a sleek body, it strikes with precision, making it a respected and somewhat feared figure in tropical and subtropical waters. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/cc86541fc864c0ac9cc7c96a92dd5cad0905a65c.png Red lionfish The Red Lionfish, a species known for its striking appearance, can grow up to 45.7 cm in length and weigh as much as 1.4 kg. This fish, easily identifiable by its bold red and white stripes and an array of venomous spines, is not just a visual marvel but also an ecological concern. Originally from the Indo-Pacific region, the Red Lionfish has become an invasive species in other parts of the world, notably in the Atlantic, where its voracious appetite and lack of natural predators have significantly impacted local marine ecosystems. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/e477c27399c1fc0e7245e796c76a70e08a924b00.png Atlantic tarpon An ancient species, swimming in our oceans since prehistoric times. This majestic fish, often growing to impressive sizes, has adapted unique survival techniques over the millennia. One of their most remarkable abilities is to gulp air directly from the surface in environments with low oxygen levels. This adaptation allows them to thrive in a variety of aquatic habitats, from shallow bays to open seas. The tarpon's longevity and resilience reflect its enduring presence in the marine ec...Meet the Pelagic fish | Upcoming Florida DLCDec 14, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsContinuing our exciting journey through the Florida DLC for Ultimate Fishing Simulator, this week we're venturing into the realm of Pelagic Fish. After exploring the coastal species last week, we're now heading into the open ocean for some of the most exhilarating catches in the game. Here's what you can look forward to in the Florida DLC: Blue marlin (new model) The Blue Marlin, recognized for its distinct bill, employs this feature in predation, yet the precise extent of its use remains enigmatic. A comprehensive 2007 Japanese study examined the stomach contents of fish captured in a commercial trolling fishery, yielding intriguing findings. Among 227 blue marlins studied, a remarkable 130 undigested prey items exhibited injuries like spearing and slashing, suggesting that the bill played a significant role in their capture. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/63ac0488f85652a719c931b7a52cf6aad68299bd.png Yellowfin tuna (new model) The overfishing of yellowfin tuna is placing a perilous strain on the very essence of this majestic species. Driven by relentless demand, the excessive harvesting not only depletes tuna populations but also jeopardizes the intricate dynamics of their marine habitats. Immediate and effective conservation measures are imperative to safeguard the future of yellowfin tuna, preserving not just a sought-after culinary delight but a vital component of our oceanic biodiversity. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/bd86bf1b0ef59f88a00efffcb574c8aab18ba969.png Blackfin tuna The Blackfin Tuna, the smallest species within the Thunnus genus, presents a unique challenge for anglers due to its similarity with the yellowfin tuna upon capture. Despite its diminutive size, distinguishing the blackfin from its larger counterpart can be challenging due to the presence of younger yellowfin tuna living in proximity to the blackfin tuna. To ensure accurate identification, a key strategy is to scrutinize the coloration of the dorsal finlets, which exhibit a distinctive brownish hue, contrasting with the vibrant yellow characteristic of the yellowfin. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/4b12fca078d292535eab8366e4cf96db8d57c7d5.png Little tunny Frequently misidentified by fishermen and referred to as a "bonito." The term "bonito" is usually assigned to species of the genus Sarda, some of which share their range with the Little Tunny. The misidentification may be attributed to their similar coloration and patterns. Additionally, it's worth noting that the Little Tunny is often characterized as a "trash fish" due to its oily and bloody meat. This particular attribute necessitates proper bleeding of the fish before cooking to eliminate the strong, fishy flavor that may otherwise be present. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/1ff938e0e1a4657aac32ac8339ca036792e27369.png Mahi-mahi (new model) Exhibit fascinating color changes based on their state and age. When in a relaxed state, these remarkable fish showcase a captivating hue of silver-blue. However, their chromatic palette und...UFS VR will be retired on January 19th, 2024 | YOU WILL GET FREE CONVERSIONDec 9, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsDon't worry - VR will be still there. This week, we're highlighting the coastal fish you'll soon be able to chase. Get ready to cast your lines for some fantastic species like the Red Drum, Black Drum, Black Sea Bass, and the ever-popular Mangrove Snapper! Each of these fish offers a unique challenge and adds to the thrill of fishing along the beautiful coastlines of Florida. In case you missed it, last week we introduced some amazing sharks set to feature in the DLC. If you haven't checked that out yet, you can read it HERE]. Red drum The Red Drum has a unique place in U.S. conservation history. In 2007, it was designated as a protected game fish by an executive order from President George W. Bush. This order prohibits the sale of Red Drum caught in federal waters and encourages states to protect them within their own waters. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/569ea38068fab5b9abf21e618dd5fc160c588cf5.png Black drum The Black Drum fish is known for its distinctive baritone drumming sound, especially notable during the spawning season. This sound is produced by muscles rubbing against their air bladder, a unique characteristic among fish. Black Drums are also recognized for their ability to grow exceptionally large, with some individuals reaching over 50 kilograms. They inhabit the Atlantic coast of the Americas, from Florida to Nova Scotia, and are a popular catch among recreational fishermen for their size and fighting ability. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/eeff4e5ac9fa155e15429eb1d06c768b87c3adda.png Black seabass The Black Sea Bass is an intriguing species with a unique life cycle. This fish grows slowly, reaching sexual maturity between one and three years of age. What's particularly fascinating is their reproductive strategy – they are protogynous hermaphrodites. This means most Black Sea Bass start life as females and later transform into males. This adaptive trait plays a crucial role in their survival and reproductive success in their natural habitats. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/7551f556ffee2282ea0941622a933e844abb9722.png Mangrove snapper The Mangrove Snapper thrives in a variety of environments, from inshore mangroves to offshore reefs. This adaptable fish is a common sight around docks and coastal structures, making it a popular target for anglers. Known for their versatility, they are as enjoyable to catch as they are delicious, contributing to their popularity in both recreational and commercial fishing {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/e73a074d1bbae6687559031b8e7ccfda2903198a.png And remember, next week we'll be revealing the reef fish species! Hello everyone, Today I would like to give you a sneak peek at the upcoming Florida DLC! We're bringing you to the beautiful and challenging waters of Florida's Dry Tortugas, known for their rich marine life and exceptional fishing spots. In this DLC, we're introducing a diverse array of fish species, each offering a unique angling experience. But let's focus on the stars of the show – the sharks! You'll have the chance to test your skills against three incredible shark species, each with its characteristics and challenges. Spinner Shark The Spinner Shark has a unique hunting strategy. Unlike many other shark species, the Spinner Shark uses a method called "rotary pursuit" to catch its prey. This involves rapidly swimming through schools of fish while spinning and snapping its jaws to catch as many fish as possible. This spinning behavior, which is also the reason for its common name, is a distinctive and rare hunting method among sharks and is quite a spectacle to observe. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/de8fa7aa1cf2b6d49a289b4e9253833ecc9434aa.png Blacktip Shark The Blacktip Shark is distinct from its cousin, the Blacktip Reef Shark, in its remarkable migratory habits. Unlike the reef-bound species, the Blacktip Shark undertakes extensive oceanic journeys, often covering great distances in response to seasonal changes and food sources. These migrations highlight the Blacktip Shark's adaptability and resilience in various marine environments, setting it apart from the more stationary lifestyle of the Blacktip Reef Shark. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/7883f16c00148e6657d0263d3136285dd2c06035.png Tiger Shark The Tiger Shark is the only existing species of its genus, Galeocerdo, making it a unique figure in the marine world. This solitary status in its family highlights its distinct evolutionary path. Known for their distinct stripes and versatile diet, Tiger Sharks have a reputation as one of the ocean's most adaptable predators. Their survival as the sole member of the Galeocerdo genus is a testament to their unique place in the shark family tree. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/28151491/12c46f8d37e1dc8dc57c4093e4c8918d3158945b.png We're stoked to bring these amazing creatures into the game!
