TRIBES 3 Rivals

The latest attempt to revive Tribes looks cooked after three monthsJun 27, 2024 - PC GamerTribes 3: Rivals got everyone excited with an excellent Steam Next Fest demo this February that suggested, maybe this time, the revival would stick. The game launched into early access on March 12, 2024, promising a "rebirth" of the beloved first-person sport-slash-shooter with a simple business model: $20 upfront price, and no microtransactions... To give back for your support, we’re offering credits to all players who made purchases in Starsiege: Deadzone or TRIBES 3 in the past: If you made any purchases in Starsiege: Deadzone or TRIBES 3 before June 27, 2024, you’ll receive credits towards our new game, Ultra Strikers. For every dollar you spent on Starsiege: Deadzone or TRIBES 3 before June 27, 2024, you’ll receive a dollar in credits towards Ultra Strikers. For example, if you spent $10 in Starsiege: Deadzone, and $20 in TRIBES 3, you’d receive $30 in credits to use towards Ultra Strikers. The credits will take into account all purchases you made on Starsiege: Deadzone or TRIBES 3 before June 27, 2024, including base purchases of the games, season passes, cosmetics, etc. For past purchases in foreign currencies, the credit amount towards Ultra Strikers will be matched 1:1 in the same currency (with conversion applied if needed). Credits towards Ultra Strikers will be granted to the Steam account that was used to make purchases in Starsiege: Deadzone or TRIBES 3, at a later time. You do not need to take any action at this time to receive your credits towards the new game. As Ultra Strikers nears launch, we’ll provide more detail on how the credits can be used for Ultra Strikers purchases. — These credits are meant to give back to players who supported us in early development. We’re doing our best to support TRIBES 3 with limited updates (along with an upcoming discount sale to bring in more players), and plan to return to Starsiege Deadzone once the company has the resources, but unfortunately neither game had enough success yet to support the studio and can’t be our main development focus right now (as much as we love them). Thank you for your support. Going forward, we’ll continue to focus on updating existing games as much as we can, while creating new games players enjoy. We love making games, we love playing games, and thanks again for giving our games a shot and being part of the community! - Prophecy GamesMoonrise Patch NotesJun 17, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsTRIBES 3: Rivals - Moonrise Patch Notes June 17th, 2024 | Prophecy Games LOADOUTS Overhauled Hitboxes and Collision Volumes on all Classes to Improve Player Contact Detection. TRIBES 3: Early Access UpdateMar 15, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHi everyone, Thanks for your feedback as part of early access, keep it coming! It’s been super helpful, and we’re going to make a few changes that have been suggested by the community ASAP to keep improving the TRIBES 3 experience. We’re adding an extra patch (0.2.X) to our schedule, which we’re looking to get out tentatively around March 22nd (exact timing may vary). We wanted to share these changes with you beforehand, so you know roughly what to expect! Summary of changes for next patch: Weapon skin and suit skin rewards will be awarded to you for each of your first 10 wins of the day, instead of being limited to just your first win of the day (effective in patch 0.2) VOIP (Voice Chat) will be enabled ON as Push-To-Talk by default in game, with an opt out option available at the starting menu. Bots in ranked will be clearly indicated We’re adding a queue for 4v4 TDM (Team Death Match) Some other expected changes include: Being able to select your primary language upon starting the game. Being able to select your primary region upon starting the game. Options to disable VGS, and potentially a global limiter for VGS, to reduce spam.  Weapon skin and suit skin rewards will be awarded to you for each of your first 10 wins of the day, instead of being limited to just your first win of the day. We got a lot of feedback around the cosmetics system feeling grindy or that it could create more FOMO. That was not our intention, so we’ve adjusted this system to keep what worked well (the ability to get lots of skins), and remove what didn’t (FOMO about not earning all skins in pass). We’ve increased the max number of skins you can earn from a weapon skins pass or suit skins pass to 10 per day (per pass), from the previous limit of 1 per day (per pass). The max amount of skins you can earn will stay capped at 365 per pass, just like before. That way, you’ll receive the same value (which respects earlier purchases made before), but skins can now be unlocked much faster without FOMO! This change will be effective when our next patch (0.2) goes live, which we’re aiming for around March 22nd. For players who have already purchased the daily suit skins pass or daily weapon skins pass before the 0.2 patch, any skins you earn prior to the patch won’t be counted towards your cap of 365 skins per pass. We think this approach strikes a good balance of rewarding our early supporters, without being excessive and unfair to new purchasers later. We also want to respect any players who previously purchased these cosmetics passes, and feel this change does so, as it allows you to unlock the same value that was purchased, but at a faster pace and without punishing you if you fall behind. We also want to clear up a common question about the daily suit skin pass and daily weapon skin passes: there are actually many, many thousands of unique potential skins you can receive, which are created using a custom modularized system each time you earn a reward. This system produces s...Destiny 2 and Halo have a new rival as Tribes 3 finally arrivesMar 13, 2024 - PCGamesNAt its best, Tribes 3 resembles the classic days of Halo 2 or Halo 3 multiplayer. God that game was good, though, sadly, it didn't quite stick the landing with enough players to survive: Ascend went into that good night in 2016, since when there's been a large Tribes-shaped gap in my collection... MAPS All Maps: Observation Post: The Observation Post has a new building structure that is the same in all maps. This replaces the different layouts of the OP in previous versions, and should make the location more immediately identifiable. The OP meshes are still blockout, and are intended to be replaced over time. The teleporter exit for the Observation Post is now out of line of sight of the capture point. This is to prevent poor play from players coming right out of the teleporter and killing players capturing the point. The teleporter entrance to the OP has been moved from player spawn rooms to the Bases, somewhat near the flag stand. This will increase the time between killing an enemy at the OP, and that same enemy suddenly appearing back in the teleporter. This will make the OP teleporter an option for defending players at the base moving to the midfield, as previously it was less viable to run back to your spawn and use it. Moved the location of the OP in Drydock. New Map: Raindance A recreation of the classic map Raindance has been added. This is still in early blockout form. FIXES Fixed several instances of server crashes. Fixed some performance issues in CTF 16v16. Includes the Shotgun, Shocklance, and Sparrow Pistol Shocklance Removed energy consumption. Backstab damage increased. Spinfusors Increased ammo. GAMEPLAY CTF We are testing a new mid-field objective called Observation Posts. These objectives can be captured by use of your repair tool. Each Observation Post has one or more turrets that change teams based on who controls the objective. A teleporter located near respawn points can be used to directly transport you to an Observation Point you control. Controlling the Observation Post will automatically call down a destructive charge from orbit on any flag carrier who is in the air more than 10 consecutive seconds. Custom Matches Removed Arena maps. Tutorial Reworked the tutorial to make it more comprehensive. Added videos. General Added a new Warm-up Phase. While waiting, players can move around the map. New Accolades added. Increased FPS limit Added a new ski toggle setting called Hold to Maintain which maintains skiing until the player lets go of forward or backward buttons. Player reporting updated. Movement Jetpack dampening now only applies to z-axis speed MAPS New map “Hollow” added for initial testing. Hollow features a middle ground of hill depth between Katabatic and Torment, as well as quite a few more obstacles than we’ve typically tested before. Added an Observation Post to every CTF map. Added base team coloring to some maps. For example, the bases in Wavemist should now team color Blue for friendly and Red for enemy. This will be added to more maps over time. Moved Radars to more secure locations in several maps. Generally the goal was to get them out of the direct line of sight of the enemy base. Numerous WIP art revisions, additions, and improvements across all maps. FIXES Fixed an issue where the Announcer would say the wrong line when flags were returned Fixed an issue where the selected loadout would always default to light offense. Fixed an issue where "lives remaining" messages were reversed in Team Deathmatch Fixed an issue where the UI for switching teams in custom lobbies overlapped with the scroll bar. Fixed an issue where dropped flags would not always inherit owner's velocity Fixed an issue where the generator icons would double up if a player backfilled into a match.
