We've been hard at work these past few days tackling the black background issue, and it looks like we've found a solution. If you're still experiencing the black screen problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game—it should fix the issue! If reinstalling doesn't solve the problem, please check out some solutions we've gathered in the discussions table. A few players have also shared other fixes, and we've compiled them for you. Big thanks to everyone! If none of these solutions work for you, don't worry. We're currently developing a dynamic sky feature that will cover the black screen at the bottom. This dynamic sky will be added to the Store - Decorations and can overlay any in-game background.
