Content of Update Game Mode A new game mode: Battle Royale (DLC) will be available after this update. Tiger Knight: Battle Royale is an action-strategy game that integrates cold weapon and survival gameplay. The epic battlefield in the game is set around the Three Kingdoms period of ancient China when a special department called JingWu was created for selecting and training for an elite fighting force. The Battle Royale game-mode engage players with tense fights using cold weapons including bow, crossbow, blade, sword, spear and shield in an ancient battlefield that blends mounted combat, assassin, beast, plunder, kite and other impressive elements with survival gameplay. In the game, you need to find and upgrade weapons and armor, and fight to survive till the end, while the safe area shrinks over time due to toxic fog. Except for team mode of 3 players, the innovative free-ally mode allows players to play in squads, up to 35 players per squad, to carry out a large-scale combat training. Mount & Blade/World Of Tanks hybrid Tiger Knight relaunches on SteamJan 14, 2018 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunSomehow, the original release of Tiger Knight flew completely under my radar. I’d have expected the blend of historical Chinese warfare, familiar siege and mounted combat mechanics and massive-scale PvP warfare (7v7 matches, each player leading a regiment of up to 30 AI soldiers) would have caught my eye, but apparently not. I even missed the game shutting down last year. Thankfully, 2018 is set to be a year of new beginnings, and Chinese publisher NetDragon Websoft have dusted the game off for a second, international-geared release via Steam. It’s a bit patchy, but might be worth a look, given its free-to-play nature. (more…)
