Manifest Order: HemlockFeb 17, 2020 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34952923/435ac0a322102a339d4043445ca813b3b5336b17.png Excited to announce the next game I am developing Manifest Order: Hemlock But first! Thank you so much to everyone who has played There The Light, for all the people that have taken the time to leave a review, all the people that have left constructive criticism and for all the people that have spoken to me about the game. It's been really humbling seeing this project actually become something. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting anyone to take notice of There The Light when I released it. Thank you :) So what is Manifest Order: Hemlock? My aim is to make a semi-sandbox adventure detective game. Currently the alpha build is linear and will likely become the introduction level to the full game. It does not represent the final project. I've just put out an alpha for a potential demo and I am looking for general feedback. If you are interested: https://casualbebop.itch.io/manifest-order-hemlock Happy sleuthing! There The Light Is Out!May 31, 2019 - Community Announcementshttps://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/34952923/53a78c94a182edd7ddaa6d3b8c4022d5acde3955.png I can finally say that There The Light is now available! Explore an unknown and abandoned world. Each step, each puzzle, brings you closer to discovering the history and secrets of a lost civilization. Can you find the light? There The Light is a short single-player, first-person puzzle exploration game. The game is split into 4 separate linear levels, each takes you deeper into the heart of the planet. I wanted to create an immersive world where story, visuals and music are merged together in interesting and creative ways. There The Light features 50 puzzles, and a soundtrack that grows and forms based on the interactions that you make in-game. I really hope you enjoy it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1054110/There_The_Light/1 Day Until Release!May 29, 2019 - Community Announcementshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejm5JxwiIZ4&t=24s Laura - There The Light OST prod. Huge thanks to everyone who helped out along the way, there's no way this game would exist without you. And thanks to everyone that joined the community or wishlisted the game, hopefully it can live up to expectations, and hopefully we can get some interesting community discussions going! I've also set up a Discord server for CasualBebop, so if your interested join in! It would be great to speak to you :) https://discord.gg/qGEQMPR I am starting to get ideas together for my next project, it's proving to be a really good distraction from being a nervous wreck. There's not much to say or show at the moment, but if you are interested, the best place to find out more is via my website: https://casualbebop.com/untitled Hope you all have a great day, all the love CasualBebop 2 Weeks Until ReleaseMay 17, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi all hope you are good. It's been a good few weeks putting everything together for the final build, happy to say that everything is done!! So the last 2 weeks will be spent on tweaks and polish, to try and get There The Light playing as good as possible. Yup, 2 weeks until release!! Ahhh it's scary, but very exciting. It's pretty crazy looking back at the first prototype of the game, going over the old notebooks and sketchbooks. So many iterations, so many builds! Anywhoo, hope you all have a good week going foward, All the love CasualBebopDev Blog #2 - Music Music Music!May 2, 2019 - Community Announcementshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZMaUTlU61U There The Light has it's first OST video. Isaac - by Hash Brown Check it out! Check Hash Brown out here: https://soundcloud.com/hashbrowner Hi all, hope you are ok! It's been a pretty hectic week; I've been finalizing all the music for the game, and There The Light has received so much more engagement then I thought it would. Everyone that's joined the community or wishlisted the game: you guys flippin' rule! Like seriously rule. I've got a couple of ideas for the community, that I would love to implement when the work starts to slow down. Main idea that's been floating around my head is to put out cryptic images (similar to what can be found in-game). It would be interesting to see if you can figure out what it all means! Let me know what you think, hopefully I'll get time to do something like this. So Dev Blog update: Most the week has been spent finalizing all the sound/music interactions found across the game (demo vid below). And, I've added in the soundtrack! I'm pretty happy with it all, a few things might need tinkering with, but generally it all fits together! I may have shot myself in the foot, I started to play around with colour grading and LUT's (lookup textures) and it's completely changed the aesthetic of the game, and really tied everything together... which probably means I'm going to have to redo the trailer and screenshots at some point! I'll try and show you all in the next dev blog. Here is a super short demo vid of some of the sound/music interactions I've been working on. Please excuse the horrible recording quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4JYI8bWPFU Unfortunately over the next week there probably isn't going to be anything particularly interesting to show. I've got to go through and finish the Save/Load system and UI. Then it's on to optimization. Fun fun fun! Luckily I started making this game on a 2010 Mac Pro Cheese Grater - if it runs on that, it can run on pretty much anything. Anywhoo, hope you all have a great week All the love, CasualBebopThere The Light Dev Blog #1Apr 25, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi all, and thank you so much for your interest in There The Light. In the future I will post updates that include the various changes and checks I've made. So to start this off, here's a list of things that need to be completed before the games potential release in 1 months time!!! Music needs to be integrated into the final level Music//sound needs to be attached to several interactions Ambient music needs to be created for the various SoundBoard Puzzles Short tones/arps need to be added to the Constellation Puzzles Menu system including save/load & options needs to be integrated A start/end cutscene needs to be integrated in-game General build optimizations and checks!
