By popular demand, we've introduced Gameplay Challenges to Classic. Most of these will be for the longer term players, but we hope they'll give each of you a little something extra in your hunting or a new goal to pursue. You'll find them under the Achievements tab in their own section called Challenges. So here's how they'll work: Each Challenge can only be earned once. There is no special reward for earning them, just the little badge and the bragging rights. We'll be gradually adding to them over time to keep things interesting. They will not affect your Hunter Score or any other metric in the game, except what you earn in skills by completing the challenges. They won't always be so serious ːsteammockingː That's all for now. Did you know today is National Talk Like Shakespeare Day? Frankly, that just gave me high school lit flashbacks, so we'll be taking some inspiration from various Classics (yes, including games) but skipping the thee's and thou's. First, they're annoying to write when the spellchecker has never been faced with Early Modern English. Second, let's face it, no one needs high school flashbacks. Enjoy our usual campaign, 3 competitions and mission in the Classic old-style event where you're out for yourself. True to style, the mission has a little puzzle for you to solve (or get the answer from someone else) and one of the competitions is VERY challenging because this is Classic and we don't like to make things easy. So, here's how it works, the first six objectives contain the clues for the 7th animal you need to get. Those of you planning to spend the time on the puzzle, good luck and don't worry, it's not that hard! Those of you planning to pick their brains once they've worked it out, fair enough. We all have our skill sets. Those of you planning to ask Support what the answer is, forget it. The puzzle is created in English, but you don't need to speak it beyond knowing a few animal names to solve the puzzle. If it works in any other language, that's coincidental and our apologies for those it doesn't work in. What? You want another hint? All right. There are two clues in the objective with the animal that doesn't fit in with the rest. The objectives can be done in any order. It's St Patrick's Day again! We've got the usual Mission and 3 tiered comps spread over the week and the Community Campaign. That's right, a rising tide lifts all ships so team up as a community to slay enough Pheasants. You'll see a bar for community prizes on the mission pop-up (use the banner in the launcher or on the website). Harvest at least 20 Pheasants to qualify, slaughter more to fill the bar and gain all your prizes. You do not need to play in multi or single-player, it's up to you how you do your slaying. Gender does not matter, but the state does; make sure they're well clear of the ground before shooting. Any airborne Pheasant harvested in the EHR will count.
