We're thrilled to announce the rollout of our latest update, brimming with fixes and fresh content to enhance your mystical adventures. The roadmap is right on track, with one minor adjustment: the Meta Quest Crossplay feature will now debut in May. The crossplay is nearly working as it should be, but this shift ensures that when it arrives, it'll offer you the most enchanting experience possible. Prepare to encounter a formidable new adversary in Multiplayer – the enigmatic Shroom King! And that's not all! We've spruced up the graphics, fine-tuned performance, and even added more excitement with additional exploding vases in Multiplayer levels. Patch 1.25 - PC VR / PC VR Rift Added a new enemy in Multiplayer - Shroom King Optimized graphics and improving performance in Singleplayer and coop modes Optimized the number of game setting saves, now the game should load a little faster Fixed the bug of detecting index controllers playing on Vive Cosmos series goggles Changed the way of launching music tracks in multiplayer mode, now more often other tracks fire during combat Fixed the way the name of the player playing on the Rift goggles is displayed Added more exploding vases on multiplayer levels Fixed a problem with the Darkling bomb sound not firing sometimes Disabled friendly fire from darkling bombs, now darklings don't kill each other Fixed the problem with the sound not firing in the UI in multiplayer mode Global increase in texture resolutions and improving the settings of displayed triangles in some meshes Fixed an issue with player speed settings not saving correctly in Singleplayer mode. And so, here it is! Patch 1.21 is the first Patch for the Brotherhood update, but you can be sure that there are many more to come! Coop - Fixed issues with Meteor spell replication on the client side. Coop - Resolved an issue with disappearing game state saves when switching between Singleplayer and Multiplayer Modes. Coop - Improved voice line activation for Abigail and Aurelius. Coop - Overhauled Mandrake mechanics in the Dark Woods level to make it more challenging for players to find Mandrakes. Players now need to search for active Mandrakes that call out with their cries. Coop - Balanced combat on Foggy Passage, Forest, and Dark Woods levels. Enemies spawn farther from players. Coop - Reduced the range of the indicator in the magical skill tree book. The distance is now shorter, preventing players from selecting skills while standing far from the game session activation point. Coop - Added a ground destruction effect when Abigail hits the ground during a boss fight. Coop - Fixed the Bow mechanics to prevent an extra arrow from appearing on the bow. Coop - Resolved an issue with player health points when transitioning from Singleplayer Hardcore Mode to Multiplayer Mode. Coop - Introduced a new texture for the portal effect where players confirm game sessions. Coop - Fixed paths in doors in the Foggy Passage level to prevent enemies from getting stuck in them. Coop - Increased the title captions on information boards by 15%. Coop - Enhanced Shaman balance; they will now more frequently provide buffs that increase scale and enemy health. Your curiosity regarding the gameplay of the Brotherhood update was quite evident, and we tried to answer your questions as efficiently and quickly as possible. However, their numbers continued to increase with each passing hour... 🧙♂ Therefore, we decided that it would be easier to collect them all in one list and answer them collectively. Will the Brotherhood update will be available for PSVR2 - At this point, we can't say anything for sure, but know that we are fully aware of how fantastic and popular the PSVR2 platform is and how many great opportunities it offers. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as any specific information becomes available. 2. What will be the Brotherhood price? - No worries! The Brotherhood update is 100% free of charge. 3. What exactly is the Brotherhood update? - The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood is a combination of two titles: • the remastered version of The Wizards - Dark Times, a story-rich singleplayer game released in 2020 (now with lots of fresh improvements, graphic revamp, and new enemies) • the brand-new free co-op mode where you can join forces with up to two friends and face incoming dangers as a team of three powerful mages (the multiplayer mode features new maps with unique objectives, challenging boss fight, news spells and enemies) 4. Will the Brotherhood update be released on Meta Quest 2 and Oculus Rift at the same time? - Yeah! Along with the Steam and Viveport versions. 5. Will I be able to play The Wizards - Dark Times: Brotherhood on Meta Quest 3? - You will be able to enjoy the game on Meta Quest 3 with all its improvements and new features. 6. Which platforms will get the Brotherhood update on the 19th? - You can find the answer in point 3. 7. Will there be a second Brotherhood beta? - This is still to be decided, but (remembering how great the first one was) we really want to run another beta. 8. Will the Brotherhood update feature cross-play? - Yes, there is PCVR crossplay (Steam x Vive x Oculus Rift), but PCVR players won't be able to play with Quest users. 9. Is there a in-game voice communication? - Yep! Brotherhood is all about teamwork and making friends, and that would not be possible without good, efficient voice communication! 10. Are we still looking at the same class system from the beta with the same spell set? - Yes, although we made a few minor adjustments such as assigning a different HP pool to each class, variations in the movement speed, durability of shields, or class-specific auras. 11. That is why we felt that such a rich and vast world as Meliora deserves its own unique tale. This tale may be quite scary... yet very, very interesting! Ok, are you brave enough to face the hordes of hostile, magical creatures? Sure you are! After all, you are a wizard, right? Thanks to the bestiary below, you will learn how to fight against extremely dangerous foes. Be vigilant and soon you will discover their strengths and weaknesses, the way they fight, think, and move around the battlefield. Such knowledge can save your and your companions' lives, so take a deep breath, blow the dust off the ancient pages, and get right to it! 😗💨📜 Grunts Grunts are the very core of the cruel forces you will face while playing the "Brotherhood" update. You can be sure you will encounter them on every single map, so you'd better be prepared... which won't be easy, as Grunts come in many different kinds and forms. And it is not just about the elements variants (Basic, Fire, Frost, and Storm) but also their varied weapons and specializations! 🏹 Grunt is a very versatile unit. It can attack you from a distance with its deadly bow or engage into the melee combat with use of a shield and sword. Each of them will effectively occupy your attention and force you to attack, protect yourself, or change your position. You certainly don't want to overlook the Shield Grunt, which protects itself with... well, a large shield. If you don't attack it from behind, it will soon get close to you and crush you with a deadly charge. When you see a single Goblin, you can ignore it and focus on more dangerous opponents. Make no rookie mistake though and keep an eye on the upcoming Goblins - they will try to swarm you with their great numbers, and if you don't get rid of them quickly enough, you'll soon be in big trouble! 😬 Their little sharp daggers can do a lot of damage - especially when they stab their encircled victim from all directions. As if that was not enough, in addition to the basic version, Goblins can also use the powers of Fire, Frost, and Storm.
