I've taken a looksie into what might be causing some players to experience the achievements not unlocking and I believe I may have figured it out. Specifically-speaking, the achiemevent for the bad end may have not been triggering if you did not have all 4 cards and talked to the devil a 2nd time. If you did have the cards and lost the hand of poker then the bad ending achievement unlocked that way. It was supposed to unlock under both circumstances but I believe it only happened under one of them. So if you get to the end without all four aces and lose BEFORE playing the devil at poker (i.e. you don't get the chance to play poker) and this achievement STILL doesn't pop up then I don't know what else it could be. If you're new to my DXF Games catalog, this is what I do: Release games that are imaginative and fun.. and then improve upon them until the end of time if need be! This is always free to anyone who's thinking about purchasing my stuff as well as free to those who already own it. Because why make more money on my games when I have my AMAZING AWESOME SUPER DAY JOB??!! Ahem! Today's update is for my RIP ROARIN', HIGH-FALOOTIN', Ode to the Old West... The Outlaw, The Drunk, and The \/\/hore! The Devil's Challenge Separate from the main game, the Devil's Challenge is exactly that: Pick a character and face off against his evil army from Hell in the ACTUAL Hell. Kill off 70 of those lil' bastardos to call up the Devil's Gate. Find it and enter to win the challenge! What do you win, you ask? Well the Devil will give you a choice between 2 random antiques to add to your ever-growing Olde Tyme Museum. This is an excellent way to get all 30 and grab that elusive achievement "Curious Goods"! Duio, tell me more about this "Hell's Challenge" I'm glad you asked! Not only is Hell quite a tough place to fight, it'll be doubly so because you'll be doing it with characters that only have their STARTING STATS. Ah yes! But don't fret, see! This is where your Olde Tyme Museum and those antique passives really become worthwhile- These passives starting bonuses will boost your character and give them a fightin' chance! Are there shops and stuff in Hell? Are there ever! Aside from a friendly ghost vvhore, you'll see a zombified prospector. This prospector still offers to buy gold nuggets from you however he always offers to trade 5 nuggets for +3 Max HP. That's pretty neat! And let's not forget the shop, now called SKULLITO SHOP (you'll quickly see why). Skullito will always sell the same stuff: Ammo Bags, Medicine, and Gringo Points. The good news is that unlike regular Bandito Shops this guy has an infinite supply of these items. This makes for a right powerful shoppin' spree, yeah! Skullito also sells the special unique antique that's only available to each character. So if you're playing as James the Outlaw he'll always sell Snake's M-16, for example. Hey man, your music is groovy! What's Hell sound like exactly?? The only way Hell could possibly sound: An updated track called "The Ballad of Blondie" plays throughout. And since I'm doing this whole game myself anyhow, I sing the part of the vvhore. It's eternal torment done right, you betcha'. Changes to the Main Game I didn't neglect the main adventure either, of course! There's a brand new enemy out there, just a' waitin' to kill you (again). And that's the.. Gatling Gun Soldier Ah yes! I've wanted to have friggin' Civil War Gatling Guns in this damn game for years now, and now finally I do! If you've been living under a rock, the gatling gun was the precursor to today's modern machine guns. Or some such. Anyhoo, these high-powered guns are mounted on wagons and have to be loaded and fired by a dedic..."Hell is coming to your little town, Sheriff."May 26, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsA great line from one of my favorite movies, Halloween (1978). I wanted to say that currently I'm working on a free update to ODW, which should be ready in about a week. Aside from the 'secret content' the game now has both full screen and windowed mode in an improved options screen. I don't want to really give too much away aside from that, but I will say that you should have another reason to try and collect those antiques- You'll need as many passive starting bonuses as you can get for what I have planned! As always with any of my games any DLC or update I make is always free and always retroactive. -Del_Duio / Dave 5/19 Update: Instant Quit from the StagesMay 19, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsSince there's been some hooplah about this, I've gone back and reworked the game to allow the player to exit to the game over screen from the pause menu. Here's how it works: Gamepad Press the START button to pause the game from within a stage Press and hold both the A and B buttons to immediately quit to the game over screen. Keyboard Press the ESC key to pause the game from within a stage PRess and hold both the A and S keys to immediately quit to the game over screen. When you pause the game a reminder on which buttons or keys you need to press is also shown. -- And from there you can of course select the QUIT option from the main menu to go about your merry way!
