Let's take a look at what you can look forward to this year as we continue expanding the depths beneath the mountain. The Orc Hunter Pack - Coming This June Our next paid DLC content pack launches this June, and we're calling it the Orc Hunter Pack. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45038987/452efed740b530186e2c3f7dffa1510d436c7c44.png The most grim oath a Dwarf can swear is to become one of the Ukhnashûn, a frightener. These renowned orc hunters exact vengeance for all the ages of evil done to their kin. Relentless in the hunt, they take on the raiment of fear, blurring the shadow of their prey and what is in their hearts. As they collect trophies from the dead they invoke "râma izkun mashruzul" - for the memory of the burned. Will you take the oath, exact vengeance and honor the memories of your kin? What's Included With this pack, you'll get a cosmetic skin that lets you dress up and play as a proper Dwarf Frightener. Like all content packs it will also include matching decorations for your stronghold. Craft these grim furnishings from the trophies you've collected while out on the hunt fulfilling your oath. Let's Hunt Before you head out on the hunt, you'll want to fill a brewskin with the new DarkEye Stout. This brew has a unique effect: it's short duration but extremely powerful, allowing you to see in the dark without needing a torch. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45038987/733ddd9e7bd21b8ac946160c8a1df80f46c8be20.gif Befitting the rites of the Hunters, you will apply a new rune to any weapon making it a Ritual weapon. Or you can craft the new Ritual Greataxe, The Frightener's Axe. Sieges should occur more naturally now. There was an issue where player planted trees would revert to a previous growth stage if lighting conditions changed. After a save/load, this could leave the trees in a broken state. The problem has been resolved. Finally, we have resolved an older issue where customized dwarf physique like shoulders, waist, chest, belly adjustments would revert to default settings after equipping armor. This bug became more prevalent with the introduction of Cosmetic armor through the Wardrobe. Your chosen Dwarf body types should remain now! Farming Unlocks Earlier Created a New farm plot that can be built with stone and not granite. Bat droppings can be collected from the ground and not just from bats. Bat droppings are found earlier in the progression and are more abundant. Tweaked bat populations. Fieldpost, a Farm-specific 'Hearth' Our very first "hearth-extender" construction is the Fieldpost. Resembling a Dwarven scarecrow, this construction acts like a hearth in that it can create a new base or extend an existing hearth's range. Updates to Crop Visuals Updated sound and visual effects. Visible growth stages so you can track your crops' progress. Crops now have Clear Growth Stages Along with adjusting growth times to be slow, medium or long, all farm plots now follow this progression when growing: Empty: A crop can be planted in this plot. Sprouting: A crop has been planted. Can be uprooted but the seed/plant is lost. Growing: A crop is in progress and can be collected for less than the maximum amount. Ready: The crop is done growing and can be fully harvested. Planting Trees & The Berêk Rune We've added a new Rune to the game: Berêk, which unlocks when finding Emeralds in the mid-game progression. When this rune is applied to a weapon and used against a tree it will drop the new Tree Cuttings resource. Tree cuttings can be used to plant new trees. Added a new Tree Bed player construction. Cuttings can be planted in the Tree bed and will grow both Elven and Ubâsam trees. All wild trees in the world should now be harvestable and regrow. Grabapples are now farmable in regular farm plots. Cosmetics Updates We have two major changes to help fulfill the vision of the cosmetics wardrobes: New Endgame Cosmetics When you beat the game and watch the endgame cinematic, you unlock a new outfit. If you've already progressed past that point in your game, simply rewatch (and skip) the endgame cutscene to unlock it. Cleaning up Existing Cosmetic Unlocks The Gold, White and Black armor variants were created before we released the Cosmetic Wardrobe. We love the way they look but don't love how busy they make every forge's crafting screen. To better reflect their original, cosmetic-only intentions we are converting them to be Cosmetics. Applying these new cosmetic items will override the equipped armor visuals while keeping the stats of the armor you have equipped. Wardrobe Skins also come with all of their tints for free! We have a whole new Title Update dropping this winter, with two of your most asked for features along with a host of other improvements. We’ve also got some holiday sales coming up so watch out for those - it might be a great time to buy some early gifts for your friends and family! 1.3.4 Patch notesOct 17, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsTurugnî hisgin! Greetings! This is a smaller patch to address issues that were reported in version 1.3.3. Thank you to everyone who reported issues, shared saves and provided feedback. This has helped us in resolving issues and getting this patch out to you asap. Please ensure you have the correct build number on the main menu before playing. You must complete the update before playing. Steam: 1.3.4.166483 All platforms update from version 1.3.3 to 1.3.4. Here are the fixes: Building and Stability This patch addresses cases where parts of large player construction would be destroyed after saving and loading. We have also fixed the cause of some spontaneous destruction of building pieces. We have improved and tested stability in typical building scenarios and in large saves provided by the community. However, it is worth noting that the more complex constructions do stress the limits of the system and may still have unexpected results. We will continue to tackle those issues as they occur. Please keep sending those support tickets and save files! They were instrumental in helping us with this round of fixes. Gameplay Fixes We have fixed a bug where players might encounter an infinite load when attempting to fast travel. Sieges have been fixed and re-tuned and should not occur with the same frequency, nor should they be triggered as often when players fast travel. Fixed the issue affecting the Ink Grinder’s ability to dye Armor Fixed rare issue where Armor Stands built with Build-lore buff providing free construction would not allow any Armor to be placed in them. Known Issues The team continues to investigate solutions for known issues listed in Patch 1.3.3. What happened? We started receiving reports of players being unable to connect to multiplayer as early as Sunday night, most commonly with the "Connection to Online Services was Interrupted" message. This happened in Steam and crossplay games, but seemed to happen mostly in some areas of the USA and Canada. Thanks to the support tickets that you all have sent, we were able to use the logs from these sessions to uncover the core issue that was affecting our peer-to-peer networking and connectivity between hosts and joiners. If you tried to connect from anywhere else, you also may have encountered this issue if one or more players was in this affected region. As of 4pm PST on 9/25, we have confirmed that games are functioning normally once again on Steam, as well as cross-play worlds. We apologize again for this and hopefully you're all back to enjoying your adventures in Moria!
