We have finally put up a Steam dev page for our little studio. It's not much to look at, but we are very proud of it nonetheless. What it's mainly good for is that you can click Follow so that you'll be notified when we release a new game or if we have some fun/stupid news to share with you. We're so proud we can barely keep it in! Also the soundtrack won reader's choice for Best Music. :D In other news, the German localization of JD3 is finally online, together with some long awaited bug fixes! So bitte get your Deutsche groove on and give it a go. :) This version has been in beta for quite a while, but should you run into any new nasty issues despite this, please let us know. Oh and when doing so, please share your OS and general system specs. Thanks! tThe Journey Down is now complete, all three chapters releasedSep 25, 2017 - Rock, Paper, Shotgun“Episodic adventure” is a term that, aside from the grisly churn of Telltale’s erratic model, has pretty much been abandoned by the industry. Tried it, didn’t work. And it was especially risky for small indie studios who all discovered, simultaneously, that it takes a really, really long time to make an adventure game, even if you split up the task. Hence the really superb The Journey Down having its first chapter appear in 2012, its second a hefty two years later in 2014, and now it’s third and final a whopping three years later than that. (more…) Running from rhinos (and the police) in The Journey Down Chapter 3 trailerAug 6, 2017 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunThe Journey Down is a rather excellent series of point-and-click adventure games with smart puzzles, a twisting plot and heavy Afro-Carribean influences. Parts one and two came out four years apart, in 2010 and 2014, and the third and final chapter is due out next month after a successful Kickstarter campaign. Developer Skygoblin Games have released a trailer for it, and there’s plenty of shenanigans on show. Protagonists Bwana and Kito, who are based on African tribal statues, are shown running from rhinos, climbing up mountains, and driving a massive lorry while being chased by seven police cars. It looks pretty glorious, if you ask me, and that music had me dancing in my chair. (more…)
