📢 Minor Update — Difficulty Options for ALL gamesMay 15, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45084722/b67202b06236a28290131c7d2c1628fc51937bb4.png Hey! Hope you are all doing great. We've been reading many feedback about the game feeling too challenging since the last update — especially for solo players or smaller teams. We really want the game to be fun and flexible for everyone, and we want everyone to be happy. So today we’re rolling out a small update that adds a bit more breathing room for those who want it (we made one a couple of days ago, but we went a little deeper in this one) 🛠️ Difficulty Options when you create a game You can pick between Easy, Normal, or Hard — which will adjust quotas, earnings, price of medkits and a few other balancing tweaks to better fit your style of play. Whether you're running solo or playing casually with friends, you now have more control over your experience. We also made a few additional tweaks based on your feedback — like rebalancing the sewer, life back to 50 instead of 25 when you respawn after death, adjusting the trampoline, adding more medkits, and other small things that should smooth things out. These are small changes, but we hope they help make your sessions more fun, fair, and flexible — and just know we’ll keep listening and improving things along the way 💛 Thanks so much! We’re opening a beta test version between April 17th and April 21th, and we’d love your help to bug-test and give feedback on our newest version! 🙏 It’s a pretty big update already, with tons of improvements and additions: 🧠 Significant performance optimization (yipee!) 🗺️ A brand new map: Brooklyn 🧭 Level design tweaks 👽 New enemies & NPCs (survivors and other) 🎒 Loot that can now spawn outside AND inside 📸 A revamped scoring system and quota objectives 📺 A new recap screen at the end of sessions 🛍️ A new shop with fresh items, cameras, armors, fireworks and more! ...and a bunch of small improvements across the board! We’ve been (and still are) working on a big update that’s planned to release in May, and we’re super excited about it. There’s a lot going into it, and while we’re not ready to reveal everything just yet (we don’t want to spoil all the surprises 👀), we still want to keep you in the loop! So, I’ll be posting regular updates to give you a peek at some of the things we’ve been working on—new features, changes, improvements, and more. Just small bites of info here and there to show you the direction we’re going 🙂 We’re working on a new map, called Brooklyn! It’s got a different feel, with a rooftop to climb, fire escapes, and more lighting in the streets. (And yes, we’ll fix those ladders, promise 😅). More than 650,000 of you have played The Headliners, and honestly, that number is just insane. We’re beyond happy... thank you ❤️ I wanted to give you a little update on what we’re working on with Bruno! Our next update is going to be a pretty big one, so it will take us more time. We will release this one in May. We’re still actively fixing bugs you report and will release patches in the meantime that could even include some more content. Will let you know ! One of the biggest things we’re focusing on right now is revamping the Progression System. We want runs to feel more rewarding and to give players more tools and goals to work towards. That means rethinking how you earn money, adjusting objectives to make headlines, adding systems to reward exploration (especially in the interiors), and introducing a whole new shop with more useful objects to help you out. From the tests we’ve done so far, it’s already feeling really promising! Oh, and of course—we’ve been cooking up some new aliens and NPCs too, among many other things. Just wanted to drop in with an update on what we’re working on. This isn’t exactly a roadmap, but it should give you a good idea of what’s coming next! 💥 350K PLAYERS?!? That’s absolutely HUGE, and we can’t thank you enough for all the support. ❤️ 🔧 Bug Fixes & Improvements Bruno and I haven’t taken a single day off since launch—we’ve been fully focused on fixing bugs and improving the game as much as possible. Some of these bugs have been tricky since they only happen in specific conditions (VPNs, localization issues, etc.), but we’re optimistic that most will be fixed soon! ... Of course, fixing one thing can sometimes create new bugs, so we’re taking the time to do things right while moving as fast as we can. Thank you for your patience! 📢 Next Content Update (Coming Soon) We’re also rushing to have a new content update ready by the end of next week, BUT we need to make sure everything is tested properly before release. If needed, it may take an extra week, but trust us — we’re going as fast as one can! We made a patch fixing some issues and added more options in the settings. Make sure you restart steam and verify the integrity of the game-files to get the new update! You won't be able to play with people that haven't made the update as well. Voice Chat Issue: Fixed problems with voice chat. Crashes: Resolved several crash issues. FoV Slider: Added a slider for adjusting the field of view. Voice Chat Volume Slider: You can now control global voice chat volume. Invert Mouse Option: Added the ability to invert your mouse controls. Potato Mode: Introduced a "Lowest" graphics quality for ultra-low settings. Rejoin Issue: Fixed a bug where kicked players couldn’t rejoin their sessions when loading the same save. Balancing: Addressed some money balancing issues in the later episodes. Scoring: Rebalanced the scoring for certain creatures. Collisions: Fixed various collision issues. Tornado Classification: Now, tornadoes are counted as aliens.
