Overhaul of Random Encounters {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38168228/17e753cc8f41aa24968bf3da7cd9cd5fba02d432.jpg In Classic, battles began at random points walking around a map that had enemy encounters. Overdose overhauls this system and places visible enemies that you can run away from! They also initially spawn at the same places, if some players are into that. In addition, they can be respawned when using a horn! Revamped Areas and Towns {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38168228/a3c6633a9e92933eeb76be393739ef7058cb78da.jpg Some maps in Overdose Edition now have new layouts, have been redone completely, or have had some extra visual change. With the rewriting of the story, some maps have been replaced with all new areas. I didn't want to spoil new areas here, so I won't. Over 50 New Attack Animations {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38168228/447cc7333cafc1275a1b842795edd55d78d07571.jpg I wanted to keep a more consistent visual look in comparison to the messy look of the original. So, all the stock image animations have been replaced with new sprites. UI Enhancements {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38168228/f5943303436a882163b785a5305262ca0cc90264.jpg The game's font is now in a monospace and more fitting font! Along with this, a bunch of game windows have been cleaned up, as well as more consistent game prompts. Extra System Options {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38168228/66b5400f9bf6d11e50cdabbc7b721dd6c3a934ae.jpg Overdose Edition adds the next-gen feature of a volume slider, and multiple resolutions! Fullscreen can also be toggled using F5, and resized using F6. Other new changes - Steam Cloud and Achievements - Your saves are safe across updates and new computers. There are 30 Steam achievements to complete, and it won't be easy. - Better XInput support - Classic only had limited support for some DInput and XInput pads. That was the extent of my testing for Classic, at least. Now everything should work smoothly with a couple of configurations to Steam-supported controllers! - New soundtrack - Artists Sam Wakeman, Yung Data, Mason Rhodes, and Lil Daddy Kane were gracious enough to give a unique sound to the new edition! Now we are no longer left with random ripped chiptune remixes off the internet... consider supporting the soundtrack artists by buying the OST or OST bundle, at a discounted price! Closing Hopefully this convinces some of you to try the new Overdose edition and abandon the old and dirty Classic version...Crackhead Jack: Overdose Edition - Out October 22, 2020Oct 12, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsI can finally replace the "2020" text on the release date section.
