Unlike some of those movie revivals, however, this game is undoubtedly worth checking out. If you haven’t already checked it out on the other platforms, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a roguelike take on the ultimate 90s franchise. With 1-4 players, the Turtles must navigate four stages, building skills and modifiers while mopping the floor with Foot Clan ninjas, mouse robots, and other familiar groups of foes in order to rescue their father and sensei, Splinter, from an ethereal captor. In typical fashion, each of the brothers has their own distinctive playstyle based on their weapons of choice—starting with a basic combo, a special attack, and a “tool” suited to their... Boss Updates We have rebalanced the various bosses to better reflect the position they appear in the campaign. Karai was a bit more ruthless than her grandfather Shredder, so both have been adjusted to be easier and more challenging, respectively. Leatherhead also received adjustments to his Amphibian Ambush encounter whilst Gigi from our Junkyard Jam DLC has received a slight adjustment to make her a little more fair. Karai Improved warning on the first Dash, adding 0.3s to it Previously it was 0.4s, now 0.7s Reduced her period of invulnerability after performing her Rage attack This is the one she uses after her rage bar is full (round kunai explosion where she yells) Previously, she was invulnerable for the full duration of the animation Now she becomes vulnerable right after the kunai come out, providing a great opportunity to counter attack Super Shadow (Hard Mode) Shadow Flames should be slightly easier to dodge; Reduced Movement Speed by 20% Reduced Rotation Speed Fire Bomb radius decreased to be slightly lower than Mystic Karai’s version rather than of slightly bigger Adds now spawn separately, first at 75% and then 50% of Karai's HP Mystic Karai (Flame variant) Decreased size of Mystic Karai's Flames by ~30% Leatherhead (Punk Frog version) Reviewed all Punk Frog spawns in order to: Avoid exaggerated overlapping Reduce their total numbers (you should expect to see 50% less Punk Frogs overall) Gigi Gigi’s chop and 360 spin attack now has a bigger windup This is to make it more reactable to players, right now it's too fast Increase was +0.55s (from 0.45s to 1.0s) Shredder Reviewed all adds, which now follow the following logic At the start of battle, Shredder gets help from basic Footclan enemies for the first ~20 seconds No elites, just Sword, Shuriken and Spear Foot Soldiers Once he transitions to the second phase, different Foot Soldiers will spawn depending on which Elemental variant Shredder transitions to Astral summons a mix of Flame and Shadow Ninjas Fire summons all Flame Ninjas Ninja summons a mix of Shuriken Ninjas Water summons Spear Ninjas Utrom summons Sw...Patch Notes - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered FateFeb 24, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHello, Fellow Shellheads! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your journey, Casey’s unique playstyle will certainly energize your co-op sessions. The DLC also includes new challenges, unlockables, new story and a few surprises we can’t wait for you to discover. Perfect for group gaming sessions either online or in couch co-op, it’s an ideal opportunity for parents, kids, friends, couples and everyone in between to bond over some heroes in a half shell mayhem. Welcome to the Junkyard! Also coming in the DLC is an entirely new biome! The Junkyard becomes an alternate option to travelling to the Streets, providing its own unique encounters, challenges, bosses, and rewards. Casey Jones comes to the Turtles claiming he has found a shortcut to finding Shredder, leading the Turtles into a caper involving Punk Frogs, rock bands, toad mechanics, and more! We'll be making adjustments to powers we believe under perform, certain boss encounters that we believe can be improved for a better overall experience, and we want to make the player progression feel quite less grindy. In the future, we’ll be bringing features like leaderboards and additional challenges to Teenage Mutant Turtles: Splintered Fate to create even more ways to play. But that’s not all—The Junkyard Jam also introduces a new playable area, powers, enemies, and bosses! Visit the Steam page and wishlist the DLC here. CASEY JONES, OFF THE BENCH! The Turtles can use all the help they can get as they go up against Shredder and try to get their Father back. Thankfully, their friend and fellow vigilante Casey Jones is always ready to pick up his hockey stick and do some damage. What's more, he happens to know a shortcut to the rooftops of NYC! Strangely, their path takes them straight through the Junkyards and Punk Frog turf. Could this have anything to do with Casey’s missing ride? They are no match for Casey, though– what he lacks in finesse he more than makes up for in raw power. His Slapshot Special Attack is the first ranged attack in the game, taking down punks from afar. WELCOME TO THE JUNKYARD After defeating Karai, you will be given a choice to enter the Streets, or try your luck in the Junkyard. The Junkyard brings an all new narrative starring Casey, the Punk Frogs, their mechanic, Gigi, and a special encore surprise for the Turtles. While a junkyard wouldn’t normally feel like home, the Punk Frogs have settled in and made it their own. The warmth from the blazing barrel fires, the completely non-toxic pools of water, the artistry of Frog graffiti peppering the landscape. What could be better? Make sure you visit Gigi’s Chop Shop, the Crane Vista, and complete your stay with a lively bop in the Battlebot Arena. NEW ENEMIES AND CHALLENGING BOSSES The Punk Frogs continue to test your patience while you make your way through the Junkyard. Attila, leader of the Punk Frogs, has cobbled together repurposed versions of Stockgen robots to wreak all kinds of havoc. Gigi, the vivacious toad mechanic and a threat the Turtles and their friends have never before faced, wields her sawblade with ferocity to make for a challenging mid-run foe. Your ultimate Junkyard challenge will be Genghis’ mech bot, The Junkinator, constructed from parts found both in the Junkyard and elsewhere, and perhaps even some parts familiar to the Turtles family... NEW WAYS TO PLAY Earn 5 new Artifacts and explore using Casey’s inspirations, masteries, and tools across your runs with other characters! Artifacts include some helpful additions for co-operative group play, as well as new ways to control the battlefield. Casey’s suite of powers help him excel with his Special ability, Guard Break, and many more surprises. CO-OP MADNESS Your friends don’t own Casey Jones & the Junkyard yet? No problem. Everyone can play the Junkyard in Online Play when the match host has access to it, or you can invite your friends over for a good old-fashioned game night couch co-op. Get your friends and family excited to share in the experience of Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam! The Junkyard Jam will be available on Steam, Stea...That Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles roguelike I refuse to stop going on about is adding Casey Jones as a playable character and a junkyard full of frogs to goongala your way throughJan 30, 2025 - PC GamerOne of my favourite surprises of 2024 was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, a pretty unassuming licensed roguelike that turned out to be really good fun. It's basically Hades with turtles and four-player co-op, but as I said in my review, it's "a clever take on the formula with lots of ideas and personality of its own"... We have been listening to all the feedback and have been busy in the Lair making improvements to address as many things as possible. With that in mind, today, we’re excited to release a new Hotfix that will resolve the following issues: Fixed issue with some controllers using Direct Input interfering with game controls when Steam Input is disabled. Cowabunga!PC Patch Notes v1.6.3 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered FateDec 16, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHello Fellow Shellheads! Thank you for all the support you’ve shown us during the launch of this bodacious game on Steam and Epic Games Store. We have been listening to all the feedback that you’ve taken the time to give us. With that in mind, today, we’re excited to release the first of many updates to start addressing some of the issues you shared with us. Keyboard and mouse can now be used in Couch Co-op in conjunction with the gamepad. We hope that this will enable more of you to enjoy this game with friends and family. Just press enter on the keyboard to ready up on the player ready screen. To prevent accidental power selection, there is now a slight delay between the reward screen appearing and being able to select a reward. This should prevent players from dashing when the selection screen appears and accidentally getting the first reward in the list. A new accessibility option to disable “hold to dash” will help players who find themselves double-dashing when they only intended a single dash. By default, this option will remain enabled (matching the current in-game behavior), but you will be able to disable it to prevent holding the button to continually dash. We have fixed several online matchmaking issues, these should result in a smoother experience leaving and rejoining matches as well as ensuring you are connected to the most optimal gameserver for reduced ping. Fixed a number of issues when using a PlayStation controller. We’ve also improved the range of controllers supported, including the Nimbus+ and generic gamepads, both with and without Steam Input enabled. Fixed input latency issues for some devices, including players using keyboards set to Simplified Chinese language. We’ve addressed a heap of UI issues causing text to break onto new lines mid word or overlap with over UI. We hope that everyone has a radical holiday season! The team has worked incredibly hard to get this update ready before they take a well earned rest to recharge ready to face-off the new year. We’ve got some big news to reveal in January, so watch this space! Did you know that you can change the difficulty of the game at any time in the pause menu? If you’re struggling a little, try lowering the difficulty until you’ve managed to buy some upgrades and then switch it back. Today is a momentous day for us here at Super Evil Megacorp as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is finally live on PC, available now via Steam – with full Steam Deck compatibility – and Epic Games Store. We’re a humble team with big ambitions and this has been a huge learning experience for us. We are so grateful to everyone that’s come on this journey with us and we’re looking forward to continuing to push forward! It’s only been a few months since we announced the PC version, but in that time, we’ve achieved a lot of goals, the most exciting of which was releasing the Demo version of the game. We released the demo as part of the Steam Next Fest event and were overwhelmed with the amazing reactions we received from players, achieving a Very Positive user review rating. This was one of the bigger Next Fest’s in Steam's history, with over 2,700 games partaking, and we are overjoyed that we placed in the top 50 overall most-played games. It was amazing to personally get the chance recently to engage with some of the TMNT fan base at New York Comic Con. The passion and dedication of the fans was incredible and it’s very humbling to be able to be a part of the TMNT family. It was clear how important the franchise, its characters and stories are to so many people and I am very proud of our contribution. The PC launch will bring support for 4K resolution, increased framerates, updated controls and many quality-of-life additions. But this is only the beginning; we will be keeping a close eye on all of the comments and feedback we receive and incorporating it into our roadmap for post launch. I’d highly recommend joining our Discord server so you can report any issues directly to us and hopefully together we can help resolve them. It’s not just the PC though that is getting a release today. We have also updated the Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade versions to include full cross-platform online matchmaking. Now, you can seamlessly find players to team up with from any platform at the tap of a button. We really believe that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is best enjoyed with others and now it’s easier than ever to team up and stomp some Foot! This really is still just the start for us and there are loads of exciting updates still to come so keep an eye out for more news coming from the Super Evil Lair. We’ll be revealing both paid and free updates, including Leaderboards, New Characters, New Levels and more. We're working as hard as we physically can to bring you everything you’ve asked for! ;) I am incredibly proud of the wonderful work of the team at Super Evil Megacorp as we continue our journey of transforming into a multiplatform studio and I can’t wait to surprise you all with some of the content being worked on right now. Hope you are all enjoying the game, come and join us Discord to let us know your thoughts. Cowabunga! We're thrilled to share a lot of exciting news with you today, with the biggest announcement being that our official PC release date on Steam, Steam Deck (verified!) and the Epic Games Store is set for November 6, 2024. The TMNT: Splintered Fate Demo should give everyone plenty to sink their claws into while you wait for the full game. The team here at Super Evil Megacorp has worked incredibly hard to ensure that the Demo includes all of the great things you’d expect, including online and local co-op gameplay, deep replayability, and game progress that will be carried over into the main game so you can pick up right where you left off. We’d love to hear your feedback on the demo - please do send us your reviews and feedback on the demo store page or our Discord - and we would value any wishlists, follows, and likes! When we started bringing the game to PC, we really wanted to ensure that the game felt great on the platform. We’ve added a lot of new functionality in our Options menu so that you can set the game up to play the way you want. This includes adding in the ability to rebind keymappings, change resolution, select a graphics or display device, and choose what control inputs you’d like to see onscreen. We’ve also made a number of gameplay and balancing changes along with further polish to many of the in-game assets. We also wanted to bring something new to the game for all platforms, so today we can confirm that when we release the PC version we’ll also be adding Online Matchmaking–-- available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Apple Arcade with full cross play support. You will see a new option to online play, “Find Run”, which will quickly drop you into a game with other players so you can experience 4-player co-op anytime without the fuss.
