Sales, Sales, Sales! and Announcement on DevelopmentMay 16, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHi everyone! It has been far too long. Let me start off by apologizing for the lack of involvement and interaction in the game dev space. I have been stuck in some fairly aggressive schooling for the past 2 years (CPA Designation…) which has been taking up quite a bit of time. As a result, I have not been able to pump out my goal of 2 games per year, nor have I been able to spend much time, passion and energy in the development of any games in general. I am happy to say that my final exam in next week (Wednesday to Friday – yes… a 3 day long final exam ☹) and after that, I am pleased to say that I can jump into the world of development once again!! Go forward projects: I have recently published Night at the Office (Late 2024) which is more of the traditional TurnVex style game. My favorite game and my most advanced game is Snafu. Snafu has been an absolute blast to develop and is extremely unique. The reception the game has received is fantastic. Unfortunately, the spotlight out in the frontlines has been limited to the point where it’s fallen into the shadows quite fast. It’s unfortunate, but reality. My goal for 2025 (and perhaps early 2026) is to develop the next Snafu with a focus on MMO style (without the online component). This approach is a big step up from what I am most comfortable with, but I believe it will be a fun project to work on. Similar to Snafu, it is not the traditional spooky house approach that most horror games are, but rather a unique approach that rarely ever sees the light of day. It may see the same fate as Snafu, falling out of the light quite fast, but it will be a blast to develop! As always, I want to thank all my followers and those who have supported the journey of developing horror games! I look forward to jumping back into work within the next coming weeks to begin pumping out some spooky games to you all. T Night at the Office - New Horror Game - Out This FridayDec 11, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHappy December, everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that my next horror game Night at the Office is now officially complete and is ready for launch this Friday the 13th. It's been a real pleasure developing Night at the Office, but there definitely were some challenges along the way. It's been nearly two years since I've released a game, and that is mainly due to both work and school eating up a significant piece of 2023 and 2024, so it was a little difficult getting back into the slow stages of development, especially after releasing Snafu, which I believe to be one of my greatest concoctions. The bar was set quite high, in my opinion... Nonetheless, Night at the Office takes a traditional approach which I have done in the past, however, with a bit more focus on story and puzzle aspects of the game. It is always an honour to be able to build these games and push out what lingers in the imagination into a actual playable product; so to that, as always, I hope you all enjoy what Night at the Office has to offer when it releases this coming Friday. Almost two whole years since I've release a game, with SNAFU being my last. Unfortunately with school and work taking over a significant portion of my life, development has slowed to a snail's pace. With that being said, I am happy to announce that Night at the Office is nearing the final stages of development and is expected to release on December 13th 2024. Another TurnVex Horror Release! Let me start off by saying this past month was an absolute nightmare - working a full-time job alongside completing Snafu with a very tight release schedule was absolutely wicked... But nonetheless, the job was done and I am quite happy with the results. As I've already mentioned several times, Snafu is a very different type of horror game so I am very VERY curious to hear the opinions of you all when the game releases on Wednesday March 8th. For whoever wants to know: - Snafu has an estimated completion time of approximately 80-minutes. However, this could skyrocket to several hours depending on the level of detail you scower through! -Snafu features full controller support (For the first time ever!! wow) - And as always, 3 official endings with a horrible 0.5 bonus ending for those of you who really screw up... Development is beginning to approach the final stages, and so far I can say that I am very happy with the direction of the game. It is a very different horror game, very unique, in my opinion. I wanted to let you all know that I am still alive and slowly working away on a new horror game. However, this time, I am creating something completely new and unique. I wanted to let you all know that my latest horror Is Simon There? will be releasing tomorrow at 10am PST / 11am Mountain time. Is Simon There? will be slightly different from some of my more recent releases (i.e. Within Skerry and Inside Depth 6) in that it will focus primarily on creating an atmosphere for the player to dive into. Is Simon There? will have fewer required puzzles (excluding optional puzzles) and fewer "aimless, eventless wandering". My goal is to tell a story while keeping you on the edge of your seat, while anticipating the next event to happen. Of course, like my previous games, Is Simon There? will include 3 endings and 1 Easter Egg/ special ending. I've toned the difficulty of these optional puzzles down a little so that the vast majority of players can experience all the game has to offer without relying on too many guides. AND finally, no more getting knocked-out black screens. Nothing but silky smooth progression, a dark story, a neat little Easter Egg, and a hand full of intuitive puzzles to keep you thinking, throughout the 40 minute long journey. Once again, Is Simon There? will be releasing tomorrow (May 06, 2022). And as always, if you play the game, please leave an honest review. TIs Simon There?Apr 9, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsIs Simon There? is coming soon! (Steam Page now available). And to celebrate, lets pop some discounts on all my games! Yes, Within Skerry literally just came out. Funny thing is, during the development of Within Skerry I had a wild idea I wanted to bring to light (Is Simon There?), so I began to slowly develop that game at the same time as Within Skerry. Is Simon There? will be a fairly small game (Small map in comparison to Within Skerry) running at approximately 40-45min. Is Simon There? will also have much fewer puzzles and interactions than Within Skerry. The main focus with Is Simon There? is atmosphere and engulfing the player into the experience that the game will offer. Of course, there still will be puzzles and interactions - just not as many as Within Skerry offers. So what will Is Simon There? offer!?? - A checkpoint. Yes you heard that correct - I built a game with a checkpoint. Crazy, right? However, there is only 1 checkpoint at the midpoint of the game, for all you fine people interested in achieving multiple endings. - 3 endings. First ending focusing on the simple story ending. And the second ending being a completely different ending for the game (could consider it a completely different game altogether :o ). I got some inspiration from some new creepy pastas I wanted to include in this game, so ending 2 is made up of that. And ending 3 will be a little charming Easter Egg :) - A nice graphical boost in comparison to my previous titles. - A simple horror experience with a large focus on engulfing the player into its atmosphere. Minimal random puzzles to solve and minimal random interactions. Simple story and atmosphere focus, incoming... I suppose that's all I have to say, for now. It has been a long journey. From learning new mechanics, introducing new elements of horror, and trying to find the perfect balance between suspense and scares; it was definitely a long journey with many road blocks. However, after overcoming these roadblocks, and after settling in to new full-time work in accounting, I am happy to announce that Within Skerry is 80% complete in development. In terms of completion, all that remains is creating an ending, bonus content, and hell-of-a-lot of polishing / testing. Normally this would not take too long; however, with me working full-time again, a significant amount of development time has been cut. Nonetheless, my aim is to release a Steam page in early January, and HOPEFULLY release the entirety of Within Skerry in early February. With me luck, everybody! p.s. Within Skerry will be playable with several new subtitle languages - English, Russian, Polish, Korean, and Japanese. I genuinely did not expect Suite 776 to be this much of an interest to many. It got to the point where it was maintaining 100% positive reviews for a few days - and that was awesome! I mean, what's not to like - for the price of a coffee, you get a 1 hour experience that hopefully scars you for life :) All jokes aside, I truly appreciate the support and will always strive for a BETTER game every single year. I read all of your reviews and watch most of the videos online, so i get a bit of a grasp of what you all liked, disliked, etc... The common complaint of Suite 776 that I've noticed is its length - 50 min estimate for the basic play through and ~ 2-3 hours for all achievements. There are 2 reasons why I always make short games 1) I keep getting new ideas for new games, so I want to finish up current projects and move on to the next. 2) I want to pump out at least 1 game a year - and unfortunately, with school and work being a big part of my life makes it a little difficult to put all my focus into development. Nonetheless, I will take this comment very seriously and will try to increase the length of my upcoming projects without jeopardizing quality. Stan.TSuite 776 is almost here!Dec 4, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsSuite 776' release is so close! Friday December 6th, it's right in front of us all! What a relief, after 5 or so months of development translating into ~500 or so hours of work, I am extremely proud to announce that Suite 776 is right around the corner! It's funny how relieved I am that I made it, actually. My computer is on the verge of dying, so having an unpublished project with so many hours put into it on this computer was terrifying. The potential of losing it all at any moment was definitely there! I mean, I could have technically backed it up every time I made an edit. However, I enjoy living on the edge, I guess :) I digress! back to the point of this announcement, Suite 776 is right around the corner and I wanted to mention a few things before it's release this coming Friday. 1) At this point in time, I believe Suite 776 to be my scariest invention yet! Trying to build a very scary game without relying on loud noises, random popups, or even random scares in general is quite hard. It's easy to make all sorts of loud crap come out of nowhere and scare even the most senior horror veterans; that is not the formula being used here. Suite 776 creates an atmosphere of intense suspense, mystery and tension that will hopefully keep you on edge throughout the whole ride! 2) I do have a couple updates I want to add to the game in the very near future post release. A couple map expansions, additional elements, etc. To all the achievement hunters, whatever is present at the launch of Suite 776 will remain that way regardless of future updates. I never add new achievements to my games. If you 100% the game, it will be 100% till the end of time :) 3) I am super eager to get into the world of VR (virtual reality). What better way to start than integrating Suite 776 into VR? Depending on the success and user feedback of Suite 776, I may finally invest into some VR madness! The development process of Suite 776: Suite 776 was a lot of fun to build. I won't get into the whole details on how I came up with the design and story as that would end up turning this announcement into a book. However, it was definitely an interesting project. It was also a very difficult project! for those of you who don't know, I am an accountant in profession and am a self-taught Unity developer on my spare time (a hobby essentially). To that, I am still in school studying the art of accounting (4th year) and am taking an auditing class. Auditing made building Suite 776 so damn hard! The amount of time audit required destroyed my soul. With school, work, Suite 776, and social lives, and selling a house! all attacking me at the same time burnt me out af haha. Nonetheless, we got it done, and I am very proud of the results :) I feel like I am swaying from the whole purpose of this announcement; it's okay, though. we all sway once in a while. no?
