An issue wherein the game proceeds with “super speed” when monitors’ refresh rate is 144Hz. 3. An issue wherein the screen mode cannot be changed back to full screen mode from window mode when players click outside of the primary screen (occurs when users use dual monitors). 4. An issue wherein certain item information in Collections do not get carried over to the second round of the game. 5. An issue wherein monsters’ locations in Collections do not get carried over to the second round of the game when players select New Game. Star Ocean: The Last Hope HD warps onto SteamDec 3, 2017 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunIt’s a sign of the times that the PC debut of a JRPG series as venerable as Star Ocean isn’t met with enormous fanfare. We’re long past the days when Japanese publishers thought of the PC as a strange and distant frontier, and now we’re seeing more and more titles released in parallel with consoles. It’s for that reason, perhaps, that PC gamers can now play Star Ocean: The Last Hope, fully remastered in ultra-HD. Part of Square Enix’s plans to fill in the blanks of the PS4 release calendar with a few games from the past generation, it seems to have spread to PC just as a matter of course. It’s just a shame they picked this particular Star Ocean to introduce PC gamers to the sci-fi/fantasy RPG series. Star Ocean The Last Hope PC remaster drops flashy launch trailerNov 27, 2017 - PC GamerAs reported by Fraser last month, Star Ocean is set to make its debut on PC with The Last Hope—a remaster of the 2009 fifth series entry, that's a prequel chapter to the first game launched in '96. The former is due tomorrow, November 28, and now has a launch trailer. I don't speak Japanese so I'm unfortunately unable to tell you exactly what's going on below, however the game's vibrant cut scenes and frantic real time battles do look nice in 4K at 60fps.
