Taking in feedback from the first game, the fox character has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, with an updated look and a newly designed movement. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44719848/131edca9237156390eb7e7364f90f9127e10aa2c.png The Raven Joining you for this adventure is your new companion, Thought, a wise Raven who will help guide you on your journey and aid you in traversing this new world. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44719848/ea2652003144c884dd64cbdcda41596141e5bab7.jpg The World Those who played the original Spirit of the North will be familiar with the icy Nordic-inspired landscapes they had to navigate. For Spirit of the North 2, we're going much bigger with the game world and sending players off to discover a variety of different regions, each with its own flavor featuring unique weather patterns. Update 1.05 removes the Ambient Occlusion ghosting and artifacts that appeared on the Foxes fur when moving. Take a look at the video we put together below to show the difference. We have been trying to figure out how to fix the issue with the fur for a long time and are really excited to finally have it fixed for you all! This makes it much easier to move while barking and tail wagging. General Improvement - Music selected in each Chapter now appropriately fits the mood. Playlists offer more variety throughout the whole game. Improvement - Checkboxes on the options menu are now easier to see. Improvement - Player can no longer Jump when in the “Sick” state. Improvement - Dying in Chapter 1, 2, and 6 now drops staff if you are holding one. Improvement - Fox can no longer Sneeze while dying in Chapter 1. Improvement - Xbox control images have been updated to better ones. Improvement - Blueprint optimization overhaul, the game is overall much more optimized in terms of what is always loaded into memory. Improvement - Change Music can no longer be triggered while in Spirit Form. Improvement - Change music trigger won't change the music if the desired loop is already playing (won’t randomly turn it off and back on). Fixed - Issue that caused all shaman icons to show up on Chapter 7 and 8 where there should be none on the chapter select screen. Fixed - Japanese localization issues. Fixed - Issue that caused the foxes' mouth to be stuck open if the player was holding a Staff and entered Spirit Form. Fixed - Releasing Spirit Bark while transitioning back to foxes body from spirit form would cause player to get stuck "charged up". Spirit Bark is now automatically released when spirit form ends. Please see the patch list in this message. General - 60 FPS cap bug fixed. - VSync toggle added. - Replaced Snowflake texture with a better one. - Fixed bug were Invert Camera Y toggle and Camera Sensitivity slider wouldn't do anything from in game menu. Chapter 1 - Fixed Issue that made snow not spawn around fox. - Fixed several spots where the player could get stuck. - Improved collisions of several rock meshes. Chapter 2 - Fixed an area near the end of Chapter 2 that had bad collision. Chapter 3 - Fixed bug where player could unintentionally skip the first cutscene. - Updated Collisions on several meshes to provide a better experience. - Deleted several blockout meshes left behind during development. - Moved a stacked stones mesh in the Geyser area that could be used to jump up on a platform without the use of a Geyser.
