Once you beat any level at normal speed the first time, you can replay levels at 1.5x speed or 2x speed. This increases the full game speed so 2x means standard 15 min runs become 7.5 minutes. Patch 1.1Aug 29, 2023 - Community Announcements:mb2spark: Greetings Spirit Hunters! :mb2spark: Its been one month since our console launch and we are finally winding down on Spirit Hunters. The team has moved on to new games at this point, or having a break. This will likely be the final update outside of any newly found bugs and one potential feature we are testing. We want to thank everyone in the community who has helped to make this a game we can be proud of finishing. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/7b7b80abee2b78f9ab397301de64d39b296eb8fa.png :sadhf: DIVINITY WEB PURCHASABLE HIGHLIGHT This is one of the most requested features we have had for a long time. Now that the game is done and 99% of the bugs are cleared out, we have had the time to get it in. Once you have more than 50 points spent in the Divinity web, there will be a highlighted, arrow that will point to any node you can currently afford to unlock. This counts for both resources and kill gates. This should make mid to late-game Dweb navigation much easier to manage. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/a13d24cb07e3f24fa7bff07bf7c9257b247ac4dc.png :sadhf: ENEMY LOCATION UNDER KILLGATES The number 1 question we still get is "Where can I find X monster?". So we added the zone where you can find the monster under each kill gate. Many enemies can be found in multiple zones and we didn't want to put a big list. So the zone displayed is the easiest place to find the monster. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/171577cf7a041e777c7a8744729392814b791da2.png We squashed a few more bugs that players have been finding since launch. :al_bug: There was an issue where pausing the game could cause some elements with a lifetime to play out their lifetime while paused. This little cheeky error has been fixed. :al_bug: The Controller cursor could be snapped outside at the top of the screen and then left in limbo unable to come back. Forever alone. :al_bug: There was a long-standing issue with soft locking the game when leveling just at the time when entering the shop / pausing the game. This has been fixed. :al_bug: Arrow Spectre and Arrow Blocker now have the correct location info set on their data. :al_bug: Character Shakpana + Lighting ability now properly applies his passive. :al_bug: Issue with the HP meter that meant that it was not aligned with Sickles HP. :al_bug: Issue with boss medals fixed due to missing kill gate on Desert ruins brutal. :al_bug: Some nudging of images in the character select screen due to overlapping with text. :al_bug: Updating Hearty Dweb description to be correct. :al_bug: A number of spelling mistakes As always, thanks for all the feedback and support from the player community. NEW HEROES {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/bb3a21951ca4c0cfdcc68135609f6b8df4c73ca7.png :sadhf:McDIGGINS McDiggins, the crazy miner is our resource-gathering/farming specialist. All of his starting ability synergies are based on gathering more resources. :mb2spark:PASSIVE - All Crystal nodes turn into Ember Core nodes in every zone. :mb2spark:HERO ABILITY - McDiggins gains move speed, invulnerability and knockback for 4 seconds. Enemies hit by the knockback have a 30% chance to drop a crystal. This can be used as both a powerful escape and a great farming tool. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/547b5f05ac905b3fac04811e13b677d841ed0e3f.png :sadhf:SICKLE Sickle was an elite miniboss in the Spirit horde army but she was betrayed by Moon Mummy. She joined the Spirit Hunters on a quest for revenge. :mb2spark:PASSIVE - Sickle does 25% bonus damage with all abilities and her starting synergies add even more damage. She can't heal making her the most challenging hero to play. :mb2spark:HERO ABILITY - Sickle uses Death Mark to slash all enemies around her instantly. The lower her health the faster it recharges and the more damage it does. Every 50 missing HP changes the stats. *Full health: 300 HP = 35 second cooldown - 400 damage to all near enemies *Near Death: 50 HP = 10 second cooldown - 1400 damage to all near enemies :sadhf:MAGNUS Magnus got a minor starting HP buff and his Hero Ability has gained 2 charges. From 5 to 7. NEW ZONES {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/5dbcdf4840d0627928b53ac68f57a74fc08f9072.png :sadhf:TWILIGHT OASIS This is the 3rd and most challenging zone found in the Desert map. Will you play it safe in the open desert or seek out the many treasures hidden in the dangerous tall grass? We are hard at work on wrapping up the final characters, zones and core features of the game. Here is an update to talk about what's coming next. The Ledger is a book that will have a number of interesting stats on your playthrough. It will have medals for winning zones and lots of Ledger challenges. Each of the 8 heroes will have 10 unique challenges across the different zones. It will feature the scorpions and some new environment and enemy gameplay. ːsadhfːLUNAR CAVERN This will be on its own new map and the 9th and final zone featuring the mysterious final boss of the game and the source of the spirit horde. We also have a ton of quality-of-life updates, balance changes, more languages, new achievements, bug fixes and other features that will be included in this update. This will be the last major content patch prior to the 1.0 release of Spirit Hunters. ːLupCoinːPRICE INCREASEːLupCoinː After content patch 8, we will be increasing the price of Spirit Hunters. We have added support for localisation throughout the game and converted the entire game into multiple languages. Our first languages are: * Simplified Chinese * Spanish * German * Brazilian-Portuguese More languages to come in the future. :mp_star:NEW ABILITIES AND MODS We added 18 new abilities and mods to the game so now every temporary space in the Dweb is filled. Each ability now has 2 mods. As always mods can stack to combine in countless build variations. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/e4e8c7e2c01d7f3ec938a4fd3cc94475bcfbcee6.png Descriptions for all the new things: :sadhf:SHOCKBOLT Bolts of lightning shoot out in quick succession causing low damage and stunning enemies in range. :sadhf:SPARK TURRET Shockbolt changes from surrounding the player to dropping multiple turrets that attack monsters. Level up Spark turrets to reduce time between turret placement to create a huge area of shock chaos. :sadhf:CHAIN LIGHTNING Modify Shockbolt to allow extra bolts to bounce between enemies. Add multiple levels to gain maximum shocked and stunned targets. :sadhf:JINN One of the original Spirit Hunters who was killed in Hardcore mode so the Oracle could not bring him back to life. He still assists the team as a spirit himself casting powerful piercing fireballs at the nearest enemy. Jinn also has his own magnetism to pick up souls and loot for the player. :sadhf:VILE AURA Jinn gains an aura that does damage to monsters and increases his magnetism size. Add multiple levels to icrease the size to create a large area of constant damage. :sadhf:STUN SHOT Jinn's fireballs turn into shock shots that have a chance to electrify and stun enemies. Add levels to increase the stun chance. :sadhf:STAR SHOT Shuriken changes from a focused line of damage to an even spread. The more levels spent in number, the more shots fire around the radius. :sadhf:RICOCHET Shurikens bounce off enemies doing reduced damage for each bounce. Combine with Star Shot for some full screen ninja star chaos. :sadhf:FLAME DRAGON Orbital Fire changes into a dragon that shoots radial fireballs that match base damage levels. The more levels spent in Frame Dragon the faster it shoots. Combine with Multi Blaze to double and triple the number of fireballs :sadhf:POISON ARROW Adds the poison slowing and damage over time affect to all Arrows. :sadhf:SPLINTERS On impact bone shot splits into multiple piercing shards every 5th shot doing 50% current bone shot damage. The team took a few weeks to spend time with family over the holiday period, but we've been back at it for a few weeks now! NEW HERO ABILITIES {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/7c562bff1dc81c7a5a12a0a8705ab3df25fc5dc4.png :sadhf:MAXINE: SABLE LASER Maxine's cat, Sable charges up to 3 levels of power and releases a massive laser firing in the left or right facing direction. The laser lasts for 4 seconds and does constant damage and knockback to all enemies in its wake. Each level of charge increases the width and damage of the beam. Level 1 charge - 50 damage per hit Level 2 charge - 100 damage per hit Level 3 charge - 150 damage per hit *30 second cooldown per charge {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/01733c2c6a90ac5e2a599e074cbf6853c3df821d.png :sadhf:HUGO: GOLDEN LANTERN Hugo spends gold to summon his great lantern. All enemies are attracted to the lantern for 10 seconds. It also fires damaging bolts at enemies. Enemies killed by the lantern drop gold. Golden Lantern is available to use as soon as you have the gold to spend. First cast - 100 gold 2nd cast - 200 gold 3rd cast - 300 gold 4th cast - 400 gold 5th and beyond - 500 gold cap :sadhf:SHAKPANA: PLAGUE BRINGER We updated Shakpanas Hero Ability to give it more power. All creatures, living or dead fear the glowing stare from his cursed mask. It is said that anything he touches becomes plagued. *Shakpanas' starting synergies add or increase damage over time for all abilities. Shakpana is the first to get a HERO ABILITY. PLAGUE BRINGER is an active ability that can be used when the player chooses. He has a unique icon next to the health bar. This ticks up every few seconds and becomes usable when the number reaches 10. It can be charged up to 50. This includes the foundational work to support them going forward, and also the initial mods to get the ball rolling! Each ability will have 2 mods and mods can be combined together to add a lot of new build variety. The foundational work will allow us to get more mods in a lot quicker in future patches! How Ability Mods work in Spirit Hunters: Once unlocked in the Divinity Web, new mod banner choices show up at certain ability levels during a run. Example: Reaching Tornado level 8 adds Bouncy Wind mod to the random upgrade pool. Reaching Tornado level 15 adds Chaos Storm mod to the random upgrade pool. Chaos Storm - Changes Tornado to shoot one at a time very rapidly in random directions. Bouncy Wind - Tornados now bounce off objects so things can get pretty crazy in tight areas. These can combo together to make different tornado builds. ːns_blueːVINES (testing) Vines is getting 2 new banner mods: Bombs, and Spitters Bombs - Choosing bombs will grow explosive pods on your vines. We are planning to do a few smaller improvement-focused updates that address feedback, set up systems for future work and make the current game experience better. For this update, we focused on improving some game clarity issues and making harder monsters more valuable... and of course cleaning up some annoying bugs. :al_bug: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42056218/0af0d560c9b521b58bb321596f499adfc7c818a5.png :sadhf:DIVINITY WEB VISIBILITY We heard all the feedback about not being able to plan where to go on the Divinity Web due to unlocks being hidden. So we reworked the way things are displayed. You can now see the name and type of all major nodes from the start of the game. The minor nodes and costs are still hidden, but every skill, hero, pet, map, and all passives are now dark grey icons with visible information. So you can always chase them down or if you are trying to avoid a miniboss like that evil Fire Cactus with the massive aura, you will always know where it is coming from. If the boss dies offscreen, the indicator will be used to point at the chest it drops. :sadhf:SHOP INDICATORS "I have all this money and I can't find a shop!" We hear this a lot, so we added shop indicators. When you get close to a shop, an arrow will point it out. Now we added higher value souls that drop from harder enemies and a rare white soul that can drop from chests. :sadhf:SPINE DUNES LAYOUT UPDATE Spine Dunes had too many very long walls and a bunch of dead ends making it really difficult to traverse. So we changed the layout to have far more openings and removed all dead ends. It's still not open like some other zones, but it's a lot easier to explore and get out of tough situations. :sadhf: NEW MONSTER ANIMATIONS Some monsters have had new and more interesting animations added. Things like rocks burst into rubble on impact now. It's been a crazy 2 months since we released our first rough version of Spirit Hunters. The team survived covid and other personal chaos. We have received loads of great feedback from the community and got a lot done for our first content update. We've reworked the whole game to support our vision, respond to feedback, and provide better long-term foundational support for future updates. So if you are at the end game, we suggest you start a new game to get the full much better and quicker flow. There are now multiple save slots so you don't ever have to overwrite your old game. All of the new content is available in the first few hours of a new game. As always, all feedback is read and appreciated, but feedback on the overall new experience is of the highest value to us. Thanks in advance! :sadhf:NEW SPIRIT HUNTER: HUGO - THE TREASURE GENIE All enemies in the game do different amounts of damage, but not to Hugo. He has a unique health mechanic where he has 8 health vials. Each hit reduces his HP by 1 regardless of what he gets hit by. Each heart simply refills one vial. Upon taking damage Hugo turns invisible and gains a major boost in move speed for 5 seconds with the ability to phase through enemies with no collision. He also leaves a decoy that continues to attract all nearby enemies until the 5 seconds is up. This makes Hugo the master of escape as he can simply float through hordes of enemies after taking a single hit. All of Hugo's starting ability synergies are gold-focused. With the right build he can easily gather over 1000 more gold than any other hero in a run.:WGoldCoins: :sadhf: OTHER HERO UPDATES: Magnus - Minor move speed increase from 135 to 140 Vivian - Move speed increase from 135 to 150 Conrad - Move speed increase from 80 to 95 Maxine - Move speed increase from 180 to 200 + 15 starting HP. This will also be important for future quest/in game achievement content. :sadhf: PLAYER CONTROL We reduced the amount the player slides when coming to a stop.
