Spring Into Our Next Two UpdatesApr 22, 2024 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40722074/c907f8bdc42236f4c9a6b7ed4a47f8142d819913.jpg We’re excited to share that Slime Rancher 2’s development is moving steadily along. Our next update, which we originally anticipated to hit this summer, will actually be ready for release at the end of Spring 2024. Our Gordo-sized update is also on track for a Fall 2024 drop. In our spring update, we’ll be introducing a new in-game shop feature called ProntoMart. The shop will offer players a variety of items for all your adventuring and ranching needs. ProntoMart offers daily and limited-time items for your hard-earned Newbucks so make sure to check in every day. (Hint: might be a good idea to start saving up now.) The update will also come with a new Conservatory Expansion. Players will have more room to ranch and decorate, assuming you can get The Digsite in tip-top shape for your slimes. We’ve also heard your cries about how some slimes are bored out of their wiggly minds. Beatrix has submitted a fresh order of new Slime Toys to help keep your slimes happy. Slime enrichment is very important! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40722074/4b00b01d49bbcc3b6a97154cede31a67cfdcaf4e.jpg Shop sneak peek! Not final, but still nice to look at. Our Fall 2024 update is our most ambitious update yet on the road to 1.0. As some of you may have guessed, the Grey Labyrinth will finally unlock and reveal a brand new world to the Slime Rancher universe. The experience inside the Labyrinth is intended to be more challenging and prizes curious minds above all else, rewarding only the most attentive players as you explore its depths. The Labyrinth will also feature a new gameplay system that offers fluctuating levels of challenge to those that can wrangle the chaos that it creates. And as players trek deeper into the heart of the Labyrinth, the mystery of Rainbow Island will unfold as well as Beatrix’s unique place within it. As always, thank you for your support and remember to stay wiggly!Slime Rancher 2 - Patch 0.4.1 NotesFeb 29, 2024 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40722074/2540bf90e0cca8a1f152717b4a9e8e944a29bb0d.png Patch 0.4.1 tackles bugs that really bugged out with the Gadgets My Way update. All sorts of weather patterns hit Rainbow Island for the very first time. Navigate through heavy rains, thunderstorms, iridescent pollen, and even massive cyclones. As you explore, be on the lookout for some familiar slimes and their favorite snacks! Come Rain or Slime Features Overview Dynamic Weather System: Slime Rancher 2 now features a dynamic weather system. Players will experience varying degrees of Rain, Wind, Thunderstorms, Pollen, and more across the world. Brave the elements as more severe weather strikes, or take a load off to enjoy the cozy ambiance of milder weather patterns. Expanded Original Score: Each severe weather pattern features a beautiful new melody to accompany your treacherous dash home or daring storm chasing adventure. Dervish and Tangle Slimes Return: Riding in on cyclones during windstorms or popping out of the ground through tangles of creeping vines, Dervish and Tangle Slimes return to join Beatrix’s latest adventure. Carefully track severe weather patterns to wrangle these elusive slimes! Tasty Snacks: We can’t leave these newly wrangled Tangle and Dervish Slimes hungry! Their favorite foods Prickle Pears, Painted Hens, and Painted Chickadoos also return. Remember: A hungry slime is an unhappy slime, and we don’t want any unhappy slimes… Slimepedia Makeover: The Slimepedia has undergone an extensive overhaul to make learning about the world of Slime Rancher a much easier experience. Poke around and enjoy the new beautiful interface. Be sure to check the map for the latest weather! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40722074/19ab874cda2c537e573c20922a4508aa678da9b6.png Features List Dynamic Weather System A dynamic weather system has been added that can produce a variety of weather patterns in a zone at varying levels of intensity, even combining with others to create turbulent storms across Rainbow Island. Weather patterns can be tracked via the map. Please note that dynamic weather only begins after two in-game days have passed and in zones that have already been explored. This means that a fresh save file will potentially see weather on day 3 in a zone already visited once before, and existing saves must have two more in-game days pass after receiving the update before weather patterns will form. Weather Patterns include: Wind, with varying levels of intensity, culminating in a windstorm that can stir up whirling cyclones, and features a unique musical score. Rain, with varying levels of intensity, culminating in a rainstorm that can create puddles and waterfalls, and features a unique musical score. Thunder, with varying levels of intensity, culminating in a thunderstorm that can cause lightning bolts to rain down from above, and features a unique musical score. Thunderstorms often occur during rainstorms, but not exclusively. Pollen, with varying levels of intensity, culminating in the growth of creeping vines in the area, and features a unique musical score. We'll be sharing more details and patch notes on the day of release. See you soon, Ranchers!Come Rain or SlimeAug 23, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40722074/03fc2f40fa6005690dfdafc451ffd106cf17a100.png Prior to the release of Song of the Sabers we spoke about our plans to introduce new systems to shake up the core Slime Rancher gameplay and today we’d like to walk through what you can expect in our next two major updates that we currently have in development. Our goal with every Slime Rancher 2 update is to surprise and delight fans, but always make sure it still feels like the Slime Rancher you know and love. So with our next update, we’ll be introducing a dynamic weather system to Rainbow Island. This is a feature we’ve dreamed about since our earliest days developing the original Slime Rancher, so we’re thrilled to finally make it a reality. You can look forward to our new weather system in Content Update 2 this fall. Players spend a lot of time exploring the open world in Slime Rancher 2, and our dynamic weather system will add a lot more variety to the experience and make Rainbow Island feel more alive. Rain, wind, pollen, and thunderstorms will move across the island and make some adventures trickier than before, or perhaps give you a chance to snag a Tangle or Dervish Slime who make their triumphant return in this update. But we also feel like this weather system accentuates a particular style of play we see a lot in Slime Rancher: simply being in the world and taking in its beauty. Because for all the silliness in its premise, and the chaos that comes from wrangling slimes, we believe Slime Rancher often delivers moments of calm, where nothing much is meant to happen–save for you unwinding after a long day. And it’s in these quiet moments that a gentle rain along the coastline, or crisp breeze rolling through the Rainbow Fields, takes on new meaning. We’re excited for you to splash in puddles with your favorite slimes on a dreary day, nimbly dodge lightning bolts from a surprise storm, or simply sit and listen to the sound of the wind as you think about what to do next. Following the weather update, we’ll be enhancing the gadget system in Slime Rancher 2. Releasing early next year, Content Update 3 will allow players to place gadgets nearly anywhere in the world. Gadget sites are no more, and with this change comes a whole new way to build out and customize your world. You can now use deco to truly transform the Conservatory, turn the Rainbow Fields into a public park for your slimes, or just focus on making your whole operation more efficient with warp tech. The possibilities of placing gadgets anywhere are endless, and since it’s Slime Rancher, we wanted to ensure that it could be endlessly silly as well. That’s why we’ll be introducing brand new gadgets that take advantage of this enhanced system and allow players to build slime-launching contraptions with cannons, carnival rides for your slimes to enjoy, and other highly scientific, definitely very important and strictly educational things. We can’t wait to see the contraptions you cook up and all the very sill...Slime Rancher is coming to the big screen, and I can't waitAug 18, 2023 - PCGamesNSlime Rancher is an all-time favorite sandbox game of mine, thanks to its absolutely adorable premise and cozy gameplay. If you also love the wholesome experience provided by Monomi Park's duo of games, then you'll probably be just as excited as I am to learn that an official Slime Rancher movie has just been confirmed to be underway. Stay wiggly! It's no yolk, Slime Rancher 2 new slimes include rare egg slimeFeb 17, 2023 - PCGamesNThe Slime Rancher 2 Song of the Sabers update brought two new slimes to the early access game, and - just in time for Easter - the new Yolky Slime is egg-actly what the farming game was missing. Disclaimer: Yes, this article contains far too many egg puns. Slime Rancher 2 is an eggs-quisite management game in which you, as explorer Beatrix LeBeau, wrangle adorable slimes across Rainbow Island. While the game is still in early access (Accegg? Eggess?), its initial sales figures "staggered" dev Monomi Park, and the first huge content update - featuring the very serious yolk slime - was released on February 17, with more to come before the game's full launch. We’d like to take a moment to talk about the future of Slime Rancher 2 as well as set expectations for the content and pace of those updates. Monomi Park is a relatively small studio that prioritizes team health above all else. This means that we will take all the time we need to deliver high-quality updates so that our team can remain happy and healthy, and ready to deliver the updates that follow. This approach allows us to support Slime Rancher 2 long-term, just as we did with the original. Because of this, our approach to content updates is to make larger updates that have a clear reason for players to revisit the game. So while you’re welcome to wait for updates to ‘build up,’ our objective is that each major content update to Slime Rancher 2 is an update worth returning to Rainbow Island and continuing your experience for a while. And once you do find yourself running out of steam with the latest update, take a break! We believe it’s healthy for our players and their long-term enjoyment of Slime Rancher 2 to know when it’s time to leave Rainbow Island for a while until the next major update comes along. If you follow Monomi Park or Slime Rancher on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, or watch for news posts on your preferred platform, then you’ll know right away when updates arrive and when it’s time once more to tighten your boots and ready your Vacpack. So what does the future hold for Beatrix’s new adventure in Slime Rancher 2? Our first major content update will be available in early 2023 and will have Beatrix discovering a mysterious, glacial island off the coast of Ember Valley known as Powderfall Bluffs. As if it were a giant, icy time capsule, Beatrix will discover a thriving community of prehistoric Saber Slimes and Thundercluck chickens within, as well as a treasure trove of new resources for crafting and strange, auroral anomalies scattered about the zone. And keep your head low, because slimes love a good snowball fight! Following the release of Powderfall Bluffs, the team will be deep into development of new features that build upon a lot of the core activities in Slime Rancher, enriching the experience you know and love. Our plan is to bundle many of these together into the second major content update, allowing players to return to Slime Rancher 2 and experience many parts of the game in new ways. This second major content update will take time to develop, but we feel it will pay huge dividends on the overall experience with Slime Rancher 2 for all updates to come. Further out, Beatrix’s adventure will finally take her into the massive and mysterious Grey Labyrinth that blocks her progress across the furthest reaches of the island. And though its purp...
