The 1.4 version is finally here, after a long time in waiting. We weren't able to work nor release this update earlier because of other, more demanding work that our team had to focus on. For now though, this is the update, and we hope you enjoy it! Siren Head's Spring Rework It's March 21st 1997. It's spring time now, and the snow has thawed out. Siren head has had a nearly full rework in how it behaves, leading to more interesting and unpredictable gameplay. No more shall your experience be ruined by it teleporting in the worst places at the worst times, and waiting for you to come out of hiding in shelters! Features Added a warning to the brightness screen, informing the player that playing with high brightness may break the immersion of the game. Added an exit confirmation screen when the player tries to exit the game, informing them that their progress will not be saved. Added a new introduction screen when you first get into the game, which can also be opened on demand. Fixes Fixed the siren head teleportation bug, with it teleporting right in front of the player, especially when many items were picked up. Fixed the siren head camping bug, with it camping outside of structures/buildings when hiding. Fixed the achievement icons not displaying the first time the achievement menu was opened. Changes Removed the temporary snow from the world. Reworked siren head's behaviour, leading to more interesting and unpredictable gameplay. Removed texture mip-mapping, as it wasn't necessary due to the already low resolution of textures within the game. Replaced the main menu winter toggle with a dropdown instead, as many payers were getting confused thinking it would toggle the snow in the in-game world. Replaced the donation button with our social media buttons. Added icons to some of the buttons. Changed the intro date to accurately match the season in the game's lore. PSA: Sirenhead teleporting in front of the player issueDec 23, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHello Players! We wanted to do a public service announcement and inform everyone about this game breaking issue that is Sirenhead teleporting in front of the player. Many of your have experienced and been telling us about this in many different places such as reviews, videos, discord, and so on. This is not intentional sirenhead behavior and is actually a bug in the game as of now. We are working as a fast as possible on a new 1.3.1 update to fix this issue, among others. The update will launch as soon as it is ready, and you will be informed of it in a similar announcement to this one. We currently have a lot on our plates so this update may potentially be delayed a little, so thank you for your patience and understanding! Siren Head: Awakening 1.3 Update now available: The story continues...Dec 16, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHello Players! This is an update we've been working on and discussing since the launch of the game nearly two months ago. We have read all your comments and criticisms, and we couldn't agree more on some of the things mentioned by you. We want to share something with you that we feel is important for you to know. Unfortunately, the reason why this update was delayed for a minimum of 3 weeks is because some of us at Prisma Games have tested positive for Covid-19, and hence work on the game had to be paused. We are feeling much better now, and we hope you are too. Stay safe, and enjoy the update! This is a teaser trailer we put together for this update Features Added two new secret endings. Added snow to the map. Added a stamina bar due to high player demand. Added Baby mode, for those who struggle to finish the game even on normal. It does not count toward progression such as unlocking custom mode or achievements, and is significantly easier than normal or hard mode. Added steam achievements including 15 of them, 5 of which are hidden/secret. Added steam statistics including 7 of them. Added Motion Blur toggle on video settings. You can now toggle on and off. Added a new background for the menu, which you can toggle on and off. Slight optimization improvements. Fixes Fixed brightness adjustment screen opening on the title screen after first time launch. Fixed bunker door not being able to close after inputting the secret code. Fixed grass and dirt footsteps playing inside the bus and on top of cars. Fixed the heavy breathing bug, causing the player to breathe heavily for no reason (Also named asthma problems by some players). Fixed player constantly looking up when a PlayStation controller was connected. Fixed lighting artifacts located around the map. Fixed audio not changing volume properly when inside structures such as gas station or bunkers. Fixed bunker door audio not playing on the opening animation. Fixed step, jump and land sounds not playing on top of cars, concrete barriers and rocks. Fixed floaty gravity when jumping on top of cars, concrete barriers and rocks. Changes Removed the remnants of the controller support. Re-baked the lighting in the game, making the lighting look better. Changed one of the possible locations of the gas canister. Lowered the volume of the item pick-up sound even further. There are now a slightly higher amount of flashlight batteries around the map in hard or custom mode. Hard mode is now one notch easier.
