Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is a stand-alone expansion to Serious Sam 4, working just as well whether you’ve played SS4 or not. Siberian Mayhem cranks the action up to 11. It’s a hybrid experience ready to deliver explosive fun to fans of classics, and the latest installments to the series. Siberian Mayhem is very important in another way. Serious Sam becomes Blade Runner in this cyberpunk full conversion modNov 29, 2020 - PCGamesNAs we all eagerly await the Cyberpunk 2077 release date, here's a mod that turns Serious Sam 3 into a cyberpunk game. The full conversion mod transforms the FPS game into a survival game based in the world of Blade Runner. Set in the 2020s Los Angeles of the movies, Blade Runner: Cells Interlinked 2021 follows Trixie, a prototype replicant, and Ren, a lowly Tyrell Corp technician, as they try to escape the city after Trixie escapes her laboratory. Chased by two rival corporations, blade runners, and the police, the two have to navigate the dystopian neon nightmare in the hopes of eventually finding freedom. So far, so Blade Runner. A trailer for the project shows off the impressive looking alt-future LA, featuring voice-over from the actors playing Trixie and Ren. The snippets of gunplay have this closer to a stealth game than the usual bombast of Serious Sam, featuring tight corridors, small rooms and so on. Sure enough, the description on Steam from creator Syndroid says "Don't expect Serious Sam type of gameplay". Around 90% of what's here is custom content, and the whole thing lasts around 90 minutes to two hours. Read the rest of the story... It was on March 21st, 2001 that Serious Sam: The First Encounter hit the shelves. Quite literally, as digital distribution was still a distant future back then. We were young, super passionate and, after a successful tech test launched in the summer of 2000, confident that Serious Sam would resonate well with the gaming community. Turns out, we were right. Serious Sam: The First Encounter caused quite a stir in the gaming community, won dozens of awards (including Gamespot's Game of the Year) and laid the foundation of everything Croteam is today. Fast forward 18 years later and Serious Sam got numerous sequels, spin-offs and remasters on most platforms. Hell, we even sent Sam to virtual reality and as with everything else - had tons of fun doing so. Even though he's 18 years old (and legally allowed to buy a beer here in Croatia, finally), Sam's still going strong and we can't wait to take you on another journey of chaos and mayhem with Serious Sam 4.
