Seeking Evil: The Wendigo

Full release and steam leaderboardsSep 11, 2017 - Community Announcementshttps://i.imgur.com/0WF5Fqj.png Fellow evil seekers Today is a big day for us! Seeking Evil - The Wendigo has been officially released on Steam. Just in case you haven't heard much about the game, here's a short summary; It's a fast paced horror title that takes place in the haunted forests of North America. These are home to a bloodthirsty predator known as the Wendigo. It's intelligent, fast and will do everything it can to hunt you down, the only way that you'll get out alive is by burning all totems and breaking the curse. We'd like to take the chance and thank you, our family, friends and everyone for supporting us so far and making this game possible. A horror game was on our list for a while now so we enjoyed the development process and learned a lot from it. We also had a blast while watching the videos that many of you shared and hope that the game will continue to deliver people scares and thrills in the future. Leaderboards update As promised in our previous post we'd still like to introduce online leaderboards that allow you to compare your highscore with that of other players. In addition we've also made the following improvements: Optimized the game to ensure that it runs better in VR. Increased the maximum value of the sensitivity setting. Removed debugging indication for eye gaze value. Fixed issue with eye gaze sound loop. Modified observatory flies so that they're easier to avoid; getting the achievement should be easier right now. Other minor tweaks Thank you guys and if there's anything let us know! http://i.imgur.com/L6EC09A.png Copybugpaste TeamFull release and steam leaderboardsSep 11, 2017 - Community Announcementshttps://i.imgur.com/0WF5Fqj.png Fellow evil seekers Today is a big day for us! With bugs being fixed, Steam achievements and trading cards in place there's still the online leaderboards coming our way! Right now we feel that the game is getting ready for release, but there's still some double checking that has to been done before we transition out of Early Access. If there's anything you guys would like to see improved, make sure to let us know ;) -Copybugpaste Team-[Announcement] Preparing for ReleaseSep 8, 2017 - Community Announcementshttps://i.imgur.com/0WF5Fqj.png We launched into Early Access to make sure that no bugs were overseen and that we could make some additions. That said we're really happy to announce that Steam trading cards have made it into the game. How does this work Simply put trading cards are collectible cards that you can earn by playing the game. By collecting the entire set of cards you can earn items that will help you to customize your profile and show off gameplay. Here are some details on how this works: Playing the game: this will earn you half of the set (based on playtime in the game). Trade: the other half of the set can be earned through trading or buying from other players on the Steam Community Market. Craft: once you've got a full set you can craft a badge that can be prominently displayed on the profile and when hovering on your avatar. Get rewarded: during badge crafting you'll receive random rewards like emoticons and profile backgrounds. [Update] Achievements!Jul 31, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsHi fellow Evil Seekers, We're happy to announce that today we've released a new update that introduces Steam Achievements. We had a ton of ideas on how to approach this and eventually handpicked a total of 12 as our final choice, below you can see a list of what to expect. http://i.imgur.com/mJNF35T.jpg Since we've been gathering additional feedback and working on a major update for our other game called Homebrew - Vehicle Sandbox the update was slightly delayed. We'd like to apologize for this and thank you guys for your patience and support. We've also noticed that the game runs well on most pc's and that there haven't been any major bugs. If you run into an issue, make sure to let us know asap so that we can patch this prior to our full release which we'll be announcing soon. Make sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming updates that will include steam trading cards, leaderboards and improved controller support as well. Cheers! Copybugpaste teamHotfix!May 1, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsWe're back again with another update! This update there have been a couple of improvements, including some added colliders to stop people from getting out of the map by accident, and some changes to the trees. We've also changed the default gamma setting for the Oculus rift a bit (as the game was far too bright) Besides these changes, there have been a number of performance tweaks, and Level-of-detail improvements. It should be a bit smoother now If you experience any bugs, or issues, let us know Copybugpaste Team.Hotfix!May 1, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsWe're back again with another update! First of all, we've changed the Screen-Effects a bit, and (more specifically) the Gamma. The game will now be less dark, and more enjoyable to play! We've also fixed a couple of collisions issues, so you can no longer escape the map (Sorry), and it's far easier to get on top of the plank above the pit now. There was also a bug where the torch would appear lit after it has gone out, this has now been fixed, and a couple of other tiny things (like the score-counter sound not stopping on some occasions, requiring a reboot). The totems will light-up more brightly now when you scan, and the range of the scan has been increased slightly, so it should be a bit easier to find your next target now! The flashlight range has also been increased. There's also been some changes on the instructions sliders, it should be more straightforward now that you can use your Ankh to find totems, and that you have to tap F while holding shift to sprint! You can also get out of your crouch now by running. Since we've noticed a lot of people were trying to run, and couldn't because they were crouching. Thanks to all the players so far, we've been enjoying watching all the videos that have come out from people playing Seeking Evil, and hope to see more soon! And please, do not hesitate to report bugs! We'll fix them as soon as we can!
