The latest release combines these with significant improvements in performance, better graphical and audio effects, and various small tweaks to improve immersion and the flow of the game. The full list of changes since V0.21.0 is as follows. Added new map mechanic. Added more maps to find. Added more puzzles to solve. Added more in-game help from NPCs. Added destructable walls. Added magic effects to treasure chests. Added sound effect when viewing a map for the first time. Added eight new achievements. Improved layout of mages village. Improved layout of the windswept hilltop. Improved layout of the inland lake. Improved layout of the castle courtyard. Improved performance in the castle cellars. Improved performance of spell effects. Improved performance of mage graphics. Improved levitation spell to make it easier for touchpad locomotion users. Improved fire spell. Improved scroll texts. Improved bird AI. Improved appearance of maps when viewed from behind. Fixed bug with hidden pathways being highlighted after opening. Fixed bug with camera judder when picking up maps. Fixed bug with music sometimes not transitioning between areas. Please note that although save games from previous versions are fully compatible with this latest release, the addition of several new maps to find will mean that you will need to go back to previously visited areas to discover them all to get 100% completion. RuneSage is now almost complete. I am expecting that there will now only be one or two more releases before the game exits Early Access, and is ready for a full release. Please do keep sending your suggestions and feedback (to [email protected] - or post on the Steam forum), as every comment is really appreciated and helps make the game better.V0.22.0 is now liveSep 19, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsIt's been a very busy couple of weeks, adding numerous new puzzles and maps to RuneSage. In practice, that means making the tutorial area much easier so you progress more quickly onto the main part of the game, and then adding more puzzles and opportunities for spell casting to give a richer, more immersive experience thereafter. The full set of changes from V0.19.0 is as follows. Added more places to use magic spells. Added more NPCs to give clues to the harder puzzles. Added more visual clues to the locations of the hidden pathways. Added requirement to cast a spell to open chests. Added requirement to grab the map out of a chest. Added ice puzzles. Improved behaviour of main menu to default to showing last selected option. Improved graphics for the earth spells. Improved audio for ice melting. Improved audio for chest opening. Improved layout of the forest mazes. Improved layout of the hidden sun crystal area. Improved scroll texts. Fixed bug which could rarely cause the main menu to show no options. Please note that, although save games are fully backwards compatible, the game mechanics with the treasure chests have changed. Anyone who started playing on V0.19.0 or earlier will find that chests no longer automatically open, and instead you (and anyone starting with V0.20.0 and onwards) now need to cast a spell to open them, and then reach out and grab the maps that lie within. As ever, please keep the feedback coming to [email protected] as every comment helps refine the game further as it approaches the end of Early Access.V0.20.0 is now liveAug 23, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsThe latest release of RuneSage focuses on pacing and balance of gameplay.
