Thank you for playing 🥰The Roots of Pacha 1.3 Update is out!Apr 22, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsWe’ve come a long way since first releasing Roots of Pacha almost exactly two years ago. We are so grateful to have such a positive community that has supported us along the way, so thank you! The 1.3 Update is filled with mid to late game content, so there is no need to start over, that is, unless you want to. So! What’s in the 1.3 update, you might ask? Spoilers beware! After you complete the last challenge in the Forest Caves, Inza and Zeda will invite you to their respective lands, kicking off access to the new content. Then, once you complete the main story, centered around the Jungle Pyramid, the new areas will open even more! Mograni Mountains After you finish the forest caves, Zeda will invite you to the Mograni Tunda once you complete her request. There, you will find three sub-regions, each a little different than the next. New Characters {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/09a99957bb559cbf8d35c02898b50ceb92b98230.gif Within the Mograni lands, you get to see Zeda, Touk, and Vallah, whom you may have already met in the 1.0 release, but you will also get to befriend 10 new characters, including one romanceable, Azkel. New Clothing and Decorations {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/fce8e9284bb78868d2017f776fa43bcd9f1aaf10.jpg You may have already traded with Zeda, but now you can also trade with other Mograni for a new outfit and decorations. And as before, once you befriend characters, they will send you a gift, including new hats and decorations. New Animals {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/bdce8234c16cb98f7b12fe49b67387146c17105e.gif You can befriend sivetherium, a prehistoric animal related to giraffes. Like some other pets, you can turn them into their adult forms with a “baby shroom” and ride these animals once you gain enough friendship. Then, in the icy mountains, you can find a new farm animal: the mouflon, an ancestor of domestic sheep. New Seeds & Gatherables As you explore these new areas, you’ll find lentil and rye seeds as well as dill, chamomile, and something called “soap root,” which you’ll need for a new Idea: Soap making. Ideas Soapmaking {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/375d70e08fcab187b6a6c7c7a1f99f76f30f59d5.gif Jiyla will have an Idea that you can help develop for a new way to make soap. After finishing this idea, you’ll gain a new processor: a soap maker! With this contraption, you’ll combine soapsuds (made from soaproot) and herbs to create soap! Fishing Traps {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/87061d441e095cb0ce922f8ef57764aa72307a98.gif After gaining “bug catching” (more on that later), another character, Todu, will have an idea for Fishing Traps, a new way to catch fish. You’ll place a bug into the trap and return the next day to find a fish! Fun and Games Dice {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/5619745a3bc534c8c855264e5ced3b3f24a3eb91.gif In the Main camp of the Mograni, you’ll find a cave where Cohh hangs out playing “Dice.” You can play him at this dice-throwing mini-game inspired by “Shut the Box.” A game that dates back to at least the 12th cent...Roots of Pacha 1.3 Sun and Moon Update: A Wealth of New ContentApr 21, 2025 - CGMagazineCGM first covered Roots of Pacha for Nintendo Switch back in 2023. After setting my eyes on it for the first time at Summer Game Fest, and as a huge fan of Stardew Valley at the time, I couldn’t help but be obsessed with it. After spending more than 90 hours on Roots of Pacha on Switch, I still don’t feel like I ever quite scratched the surface of the game—I realize how wild that sounds. For games that I would consider Stardew Valley-likes, that is pretty common, easily sinking hundreds of hours into them. With Coral Island, Roots of Pacha, Fields of Mistria and more all coming out in the last few years, sim lovers have been eating well. That being said, Roots of Pacha has by far been the most intricate and unique of all of them. That brings us to the Roots of Pacha 1.3 “Sun and Moon” free content update, launching on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch today, April 22. As a Switch player, the Sun and Moon update was only available to me... The Soda Den Team Devlog 56: ⭐ 2 Devlogs Until the 1.3 UpdateApr 19, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/6f87f5426d4cd49901ff1d4fa87bef655acd5d0d.jpg Hello, lovely Pachans! Things seem to be speeding up around here. There are now only two more devlogs until the 1.3 update drops! For those just joining us, we’ve been counting down devlogs instead of days, as we’d like the press to cover us and help spread the word. So, we have to keep the update release date under wraps for a little while longer. Now, on to today’s devlog! Be aware of spoilers for new end-game content and mini-games! Dice {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/5619745a3bc534c8c855264e5ced3b3f24a3eb91.gif To play dice, you’ll want to chat with Cohh in the Mograni lands. You may have met him at a festival already. Once you play and beat him, you’ll get to play other clan members as well, with a total of 5 people you can play against. This game is based on “Shut the Box,” a game that dates back to at least the 12th century. In this game, you will roll dice and click the tiles that add up to the number you rolled. The goal is to get the highest score, which will earn you new dice skins. You can also earn new dice by befriending two Mograni. Performing Music {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/3b16967f4ef37d4bfea93230fdbbd67132495722.gif In the 1.3 update, you’ll be able to play the music mini-game from the Fall Carnival Festival in the Yakuan Islands. You’ll start with a few songs you can play and earn “notes” to spend on new songs. Perform more to collect the majority of the songs, with two more you can earn by befriending two Yakuans. Bug Catching {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/d7deb29e3657396c6b5de8059bef3ea3d34e8fa2.gif Once you’re invited to the new lands and complete the main story, you’ll gain access to bug catching. In this mini-game, you’ll play notes to herd bugs together and try to catch the largest group you can. You’ll be able to use this new resource in a number of ways, to heal sick trees, as bait for traps in the Mograni lands, or for line fishing in the Yakuan islands. Fishing {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/a6e2e20e8e4bcb622ceeed9df4d828fa20c9e47f.gif Who doesn't love to go fishing? Once you develop the idea for line fishing, you’ll gain access to fishing by raft on the mangrove island. In this mini-game, you will try to “reel” in the fish by controlling the tension on the line. When it starts to turn red, that means it is too tight, and your line might snap. Ball {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/6e8459a1f00fd163e2c9a71a5583eabb39e60291.gif We mentioned this game in our last devlog, but it had to be included here as well! In this mini-game, you will play a simplified version of foosball against other characters at festivals! We hope you’ll have fun with these mini-games when version 1.3 drops. We certainly had fun creating them. As a reminder, we are hosting an AMA on our subreddit, r/RootsOfPacha, on April 25th at 10 AM PDT / 9 PM CEST! You’ll be able to start asking questions a few days in advance if you can’t participate when the AMA goes live. We hope you can make it! ...Devlog 55: ⭐ 3 Devlogs Until the 1.3 UpdateApr 17, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/a4e74e4e18851667ff380038417140edd9da8ce6.jpg Only three more devlogs until the 1.3 Update goes live! 🎉 If you’ve been following along, you know that we need to keep the date a secret a little longer. So, we are counting down devlogs instead. 🥰 On another note. Next week, on April 25th, Roots of Pacha turns 2! It’s been quite a journey, and we’re so glad you could be there with us! The best part of making this game is reading supportive comments from players who are enjoying what we created. It is an honor to bring joy to so many people, especially when the world feels dark at times. Thank you for being a light in our days as well. To celebrate Roots of Pacha turning 2, we’re doing an AMA over on Reddit next week, Friday, April 25th, at 10 AM PDT / 9 PM CEST! The AMA will be hosted on the r/rootsofpacha subreddit, and you can start asking us questions a few days in advance if you won’t be able to participate when the actual AMA goes live. Now that we’re in the party mood, this devlog will be about the two new festivals! One Mograni and one Yakuan. Spoilers going forward for themes, dates, a couple of screenshots, and a mini-game. Now, on to the devlog! Festival of Lune {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/4f907ba7812758bd197a2ba7ceb2356d47f4fe0e.jpg This Yakuan festival celebrates the second Child of Pacha, Lune, the moon. It is during this festival we honor our ancestors and thank them for all they went through to ensure our existence. Once you complete the caves and are invited to the Yakuan lands you will also be invited to this all-important festival on Spring 8. There you can chat with everyone and play a traditional game of “ball.” Festival of Quro {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/95de960bb05d58a1879fa20dbc753d13b6c4ef49.jpg This Mograni festival celebrates Pacha’s first child, Quro, the sun, and the “inner fire” he gifted to humanity. It is here that the leaders must prove their dedication to Quro and demonstrate their ability to lead through strength. Once you are invited to the Mograni lands, you will be invited to this festival on Spring 26. There, you will get to chat with everyone and play a game they call “ball.” Ball {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/6e8459a1f00fd163e2c9a71a5583eabb39e60291.gif Ball is an ancient pastime similar to what future people might call foosball. This simplified version pits two players against each other in stiff competition. We can’t wait to celebrate the release of the update with you! Thanks for sticking with us! Keep looking to the stars, and we’ll see you in the next devlog! You rock! The Soda Den Team Devlog 54: ⭐ 4 Devlogs Until the 1.3 UpdateApr 14, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/e094816f36ea7577166cac7a0c6c2981985d68da.jpg Welcome back for another Pachan Prophecy! There are only four more devlogs until the 1.3 update releases! Today, we’ll focus on caves! The Forest caves of Roots of Pacha that you may have already explored held many secrets. Today, we’ll share a bit about the new caves coming in the 1.3 update, where a few new secrets await. We will do our best to tell you about the caves in the upcoming 1.3 update without divulging too much about what you will find inside. That said! Spoilers are ahead if you choose to dig deeper into the caves. Sun and Moon Caves {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/83977247776eae1ac981dd6fc00d7037c7563196.gif Once you complete the Forest caves, Inza and Zeda will invite you to the new regions we have mentioned before in Devlog 46. There, you will find a closed-off cave in each area. Once you complete the main story, those areas will open up, allowing you to venture into their depths. Unlike the Forest Caves, breaking rocks won’t open doors, but you may find an interesting new material or two if you try. This time, opening doors will require a “key” in the form of sigils found in the new areas. If this sounds a bit cryptic, worry not; a mysterious visitor will tell you what you need to know when the time is right. (There. I’m glad I could clear that up 😉) Iron {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/14d0385fbe7d237c86746007adab9dc97c1ded03.gif With new materials come new tools! Chop trees in only two hits, or harvest plenty of fiber for your animals in the savanna. Then, take a moment to appreciate how far we have come from the early days of using our handaxe. Animal Evolution While exploring the Sun caves, you’ll come across some tokens that will allow you to breed new kinds of animals like goats, llamas, pigs, chickens, sheep, and cows. You can read more about the new animals in Devlog 47. Plant Evolution While exploring the Moon caves, you’ll find 14 long-lost seeds that will allow you to plant evolved versions of plants, like an orange carrot or a yellow tomato. To read more about the new plants in the 1.3, check out Devlog 49. Thanks for joining us on this journey. We hope you continue to gather around the fire as we tell our tales. Thank you for your continued support! You rock! The Soda Den Team Devlog 53: ⭐ 5 Devlogs Until the 1.3 UpdateApr 10, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/e303b2e9c36ef971a95ed5c94a5c57e01da06164.jpg There are only five more devlogs until the 1.3 update goes live! As we mentioned in our previous devlogs, we’ve been counting down devlogs as we wait for our big release date reveal. Developing “Ideas” is one of the core aspects of Roots of Pacha. It’s through these ideas that we see life change. It's hard not to get inspired when looking back on how these now common things revolutionized the world at the time. In the game so far, these Ideas have helped us water crops and process food. In the 1.3 update, we’ll have five more Ideas for you to develop! If you choose to keep reading, the following contains spoilers for these Ideas. So, if you want to find out on your own. Now is the time to stop reading. Now, on to the Devlog! Soap {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/375d70e08fcab187b6a6c7c7a1f99f76f30f59d5.gif After you open the Mograni Tundra, you’ll find soaproot, and soon after, an idea will spark to life in Jiyla’s mind that you can help her develop. After that, she gives you a soap maker processor and a blueprint so you can craft your own. You’ll combine herbs and “soapsuds” to make a nicely scented new good. Jam We know the game is sweet already, but we figured it would be fun to jam out with some jam. In the 1.3 update in the Yakuan Islands, you’ll find sugarcane that will cause an Idea to bubble to the surface in Ash’s subconscious. After you help her develop that Idea, you’ll receive a jam maker and the blueprint to craft your own. Here, you will combine muscovado sugar (made from ground sugarcane) and fruit into longer-lasting jam. Line Fishing {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/3de5c6b7ed177c16a8c86ea5151da15bed3f70c6.jpg In the Yakuan Islands, once you’ve completed the main story and have been introduced to bug catching, Tayta, one of the new characters, will have an Idea that will let you take a raft out onto the lagoon to fish. There, you will play a tension-based mini-game. To reel in the fish, you must keep the button pressed, but when the warning bar gets too high, you need to let go and release the tension before your line snaps. Fishing Traps Like with line fishing, after you’re introduced to bug catching, Todu in the Mogani Plains will have an idea to set traps on the lake there. With these traps, you’ll place a bug inside and wait until the next day to collect your catch. Iron Working {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/38e5b363d0f7141fb6ad8ce997c47945a4af386e.gif Our tools have come a long way since we first started the game with our handaxe. In the next update, you’ll discover new materials that will lead to iron tools. With this upgrade, you will be able to create tools to chop down trees with just two swings or clear 12 tiles of grass in the savanna. Thanks for reading. Keep looking to the stars! And see you in the next devlog! You rock! The Soda Den Team Devlog 52: ⭐ 6 Devlogs Until the 1.3 UpdateApr 3, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/3152eb57eab0fa27080b4f92489dbfed3d36f2cf.jpg We’re back with another Pachan Prophecy! We only have six more devlogs until the 1.3 release! As we mentioned in the previous devlog, we need to keep the release date a secret for a little longer, but we wanted to create a way to let you know that it IS getting closer. Now, on to the devlog! After tending the fields, it's nice to end your day in a cozy, decorated hut. And we absolutely love how creative people have gotten with the decorations so far! You all are amazing! Once you complete the caves and open the new areas, in the 1.3 Update, there will be a number of new decorations for you to discover. Some you can trade for, while others the new characters will send them as gifts. In this devlog, we will highlight a few of the items you can trade for and who to visit to get them. So, depending on what you consider a spoiler, as always, beware. 💖 Yakuan Decorations {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/674e9b412216b75bb3a03e1d8ef5d2f9069b0c09.png While visiting the Yakuans, you can trade with Ash for island-themed goods, like a seat carved to look like a turtle or a paddleboard to hang on your wall. She can usually be found on the Main Island, either listening to music or carving by the ocean. You may also notice there is a new aspect that is added to trading where the Yakuan and Mograni clans will value certain items over others from time to time, so if you happen to have what they want, you can more easily get a “great deal.” Mograni Decorations {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/9c798e18226a800ab75704db9adf4cdcb4e08dcc.png Or you can visit the Mograni and meet Nann, who lives near Mogra’s Fire, a fire that is believed to have been burning since the Mograni were first formed. There, she makes different decorations like a paintable pot shaped like a bear or a chair made of tusks. Gift Decorations Once you befriend the characters, they like to show their appreciation for you with a gift. The new characters will continue that tradition. Some gift decorations, while others gift recipes or new hats. For example, if you befriend Koli, she gifts you a sabertooth skull you can mount on your wall. Thanks for following us on our journey toward the 1.3 update! We would love to hear what your favorite things to decorate with are! And are there any decorations you’d like to see in the game? Keep your eyes on the stars for future devlogs! Thank you for your support! You rock! -The Soda Den Team Devlog 51: ⭐ 7 Devlogs Until the 1.3 UpdateMar 28, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/bff1eb5186e75ede0c9391c0c9b0fc487f6c1c66.png Hello again! We’re back with another Pachan prophecy about the 1.3 update! We noticed some comments about waiting to start the game or looking forward to starting over. So we wanted to clear something up. All the new content is mid-game or end-game. It becomes available only after you finish the caves, with even more unlocking after you finish the main story (aka the pyramid). So you won’t be missing anything. Even if you’ve finished both of those, it will still make sense. 💖 As you can imagine, this update is a big deal for us, and we would very much like the press to cover us. Which means we need to keep the release date secret for a little longer. SO! We came up with a solution. A devlog countdown (see the title of this devlog). It’s not days, but it’s something we can share with you. (Just don’t tell anyone we told you 😉) Now on to the devlog itself! Once again, spoilers ahead, so beware! We think there’s plenty more to discover about these characters, but we want to give a fair warning to those who want to go in fresh. In our last devlog, we talked about two Yakugan characters, Akhi and Ugvin. In this devlog, we’ll focus on two new Mograni characters. If you’ve played the game so far, you’ve likely met Zeda, the Mograni leader, and her younger siblings, Touk and Vallah. You may have also met Cohh, Havri, and Anda, the Mograni Keeper, at festivals. We also introduced Azkel in a previous devlog, the new Mograni romanceable character. In this devlog, we will talk about two new Mograni Characters. Koli, Azkel’s daughter, and their neighbor Jiyla, the tailor for the clan. Koli {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/9c4872dd636c8a756980568d4f0de47928db9ca6.gif Koli may be fiery, but like her father, her heart is in the right place. She loves to explore and collect interesting things like skulls of strange, long-gone animals. She’s proud of her father and his past but wishes he would settle down now that he’s a bit older. Koli can usually be found in the Mograni Plains or hanging out with her childhood friends Anda or Vallah when it rains. She loves caves and is especially happy when you gift her gems. Jiyla {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/f9ae2d2839d4b72c21271b0a1c4817b2de3a125a.gif Jiyla also lives on the plains near the lake, not far from Koli and her father. There, she and her partner, Todu, raise their young son Dag. Jiyla enjoys sitting by the fire sewing clothing. You can also trade with her for a new outfit! Jiyla is as known for being quiet as she is for being an ultra competitor at dice and ball, two games the Mograni love to play. To really make this clothesmaker happy, gift her yarn. We hope you enjoyed learning a bit about these characters that you’ll meet in the 1.3 update. When creating our new cast of characters, we first envisioned the culture they lived in as well as how they might see the world differently than Pachans. We’re back with another Pachan prophecy about the upcoming 1.3 update. This prophecy contains a handful of character spoilers. As always, you should stop reading here if you’d prefer to explore it on your own, but there’s still plenty more you can discover about these characters. If you’ve played through spring, you’ve already met the leader of the Yakuans, Inza, her partner Brub, and their son Krak. During festivals, you may also have met Pellek, Kocha, Ash, and Javvi. And in an earlier devlog, we introduced Sayra, one of the new romanceable characters. In the 1.3 update, you will get to befriend all of those characters, as well as explore the islands where they live. In this devlog, we will introduce you to two of the new characters: Ugvin, Sayra’s brother, and Akhi, Brub’s brother. Akhi {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/c75fb34603fbdff5951a1c5dce3c35acb2f96ea6.png Akhi is the clan’s chef and has absolutely zero tolerance for less-than-perfect food. Even though he’s known for being an opinionated force in the kitchen, he is as gentle as can be when teaching the children of the clan how to cook. He shares a tent with his beloved partner, Tayta, and their adorable daughter, Hunna. He’s a proud father, and it warms his heart to see his daughter’s best friend be the child of his best friend. This picky chef just loves being gifted sesame oil. You can find him on Mangrove Island alongside Akhi’s family, his Sister Sayra, and his daughter Fayra. Ugvin is the older of the two siblings and lost his partner shortly after they were blessed with Fayra. The Soda Den Team Devlog 49: 🍒 New Fruit Trees & Plant MutationFeb 27, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/234e155f8f34ff223244c4870a81fd75e4d43e8e.png Hey there, Pachan Farmers! It’s time for another chapter of the Pachan Prophecies. In today’s update, we’re unveiling more details about fruit trees and plant mutations. As always, this is the point where you can stop reading if you wish to explore the new additions on your own. 😄 New Fruit Trees {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/f9c834e6bd0b6858c1bb3da2f18a6c9a24c10af0.png Once you complete the main story, you will be given a new quest. During this process, you’ll get new plants, such as a cacao tree, a fig tree, and a vanilla orchid growing on its host tree, that you can bring back to your farm. We really wanted to include the cacao tree in some way, since chocolate is a highly influential plant in our collective history. While it is easily found in our world now, its origins trace back to the cacao plant, believed to have originated in the northern parts of the Amazon rainforest. Its rich flavor and cultural significance spread across Central and South America before eventually reaching the global stage. In Roots of Pacha, you will be able to use cacao beans to make hot cocoa, a recipe you’ll get by befriending a tea-loving Yakuan you may have already met in festivals. Plant Mutation {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/90881a8cb5a5f407b54a9dbf17120459f7300855.png Similar to animal mutation tokens you’ll find in the new caves, you’ll discover seeds of this ancient knowledge that had been hidden away. A familiar yet new plant that you can choose to plant in its original or newer version. As with other seeds, once you discover this variety, you’ll be able to get more seeds from Igrork and plant whichever variation you prefer. Once you complete the new cave quest, you’ll also get recipes that use these new plants. We look forward to seeing how you use these new plants on your farm! We absolutely love the hard work the artists put into their designs, and we think you will too. Thank you for your continued support! ❤️ You rock! The Soda Den Team Devlog 48: 💕 New RomanceablesFeb 14, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/1c6ff20a4493c925d4cadabff795cf8b225e4929.png Hey there, lovely Pachans! 💕 It's time for a love-filled chapter of the Pachan Prophecies in honor of the day. In today’s update, we’re unveiling exciting new details about two new romantic characters, which also means some heartfelt new child dialogues—just in time for Valentine’s! And remember, if you wish to learn about these characters on your own, now is the perfect time to stop reading 💕 Two Romanceable Characters Sayra of the Yakuans {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/6b6ed0978d62248124ec2d76d889a2540a8ead43.png After a heartbreaking change in her life, Sayra moved to the island to live near her brother Ugvin and his daughter Fayra. Overall, she keeps a cheery attitude, although she still carries a lingering hurt that still needs healing. She loves being creative and helping with the two kids on the island, and she always gets excited when you give her popcorn. Azkel of the Mograni {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/09a99957bb559cbf8d35c02898b50ceb92b98230.gif You will notice that many considered Azkel a hero, as he dedicated his life to disbanding raider clans. But as time went on and one adult daughter later, he is starting to face the fact that life isn’t what it used to be – and maybe that's okay. He can usually be found hunting, as it helps him clear his mind. But he's more than a little appreciative if you give him pierogies. Many in the community mentioned wanting an older romanceable character, which would allow us to explore more about a character's past and their more established life before meeting the player. Azkel was inspired by the idea of a “silver fox” who became a rogue hero type, so having him become vulnerable with his feelings felt like a perfect match for character growth and romance. Although Sayra isn’t as old as Azkel, she has a past on her own, including a time when she was in love. Two sets of child dialogue With two new characters players can form unions with, that means we now have new possible dialogues and hairstyles for children. We’re so glad players are enjoying this aspect of the game. We put a lot of love and dedication into it. We hope those who choose to romance Sayra or Azkel will enjoy meeting the children you’ll have together with them. Happy Valentine’s Day! Wishing you a wonderful weekend! The Soda Den Team Devlog 47: 🐄 New Animals & Animal MutationsJan 23, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/55eb8f00d555153fd51a9b45d9251fe511fadcfc.png Hello Pachan friends, We’re back with another Pachan Prophecy! Today, we’ll share some details about the animals in the 1.3 update. As always, if you want to be surprised by the new animals you encounter, take this as your 'spoiler alert' warning from here on. It’s easy to fall in love with the animals we encounter in the wild. Many of us have since befriended these lovely creatures, inviting them to live with us either as pets or on our farms. So, of course, the new regions needed to have some new animals. Who wouldn’t want a dodo as a pet? 😀 {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/eb1127f89935c57097c5b043ce13706f33b8f108.gif New Animals With this new update, we’re introducing four new animals to the game. Dodo, mouflon (ancient sheep), sivatherium (ancient giant giraffe), and panda. New Farm Animal The mouflon can still be found in our world today, but its ancient history plays an important role. Considered one of the ancestors of modern-day sheep, it will join your farm once you befriend it. You’ll encounter this fine-footed friend in the mountainous region that the Mograni’s call home. New Pets The sivatherium was suggested by a Kickstarter backer who pledged at the animal tamer tier and chose it for its prehistoric awesomeness. You’ll be able to find this new animal in the lowlands of the Tundra. Though it may resemble a reindeer, this prehistoric pal is actually more closely related to a giraffe and okapi. The fabulous, feathered friend, the dodo will live in our homes and become our pet. But don’t worry, your cave lions and wolves will treat them as friends, not food. The panda was another fantastic suggestion by a Kickstarter animal tamer tier backer. As we explored its prehistoric origins, this animal became even more intriguing. Fossils of these bi-colored bears have been discovered in Asia and Eastern Europe. While their evolutionary roots remain a mystery, their undeniable cool factor is timeless. Evolution through Domestication {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/6682a0e5804fe8116f5513318327b8f09d0bf2eb.gif As you explore the new caves mentioned in a previous post, you’ll come across items allowing you to breed animals in a new way. For example, you’ll be able to breed goats from your forest ibex and sheep from the new mouflon, which you’ll encounter in the Tundra. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37605738/605a4f1fb55a8e733fae0d86a3f92d0807f6e9b8.png We hope you’ll enjoy meeting these cuties. We sure did enjoy making them! Thank you for your continued support, and stay tuned for more prophecies. You Rock The Soda Den Team
