Updates & bug fixes UI/Menu: Optimized HUD, new designed scifi boxes. Fixed: You can now assign all keyboard buttons, including umlauts, mouse wheel and special keys. There are no more hardcoded keys (except ESC). You can now set all gamepad buttons separately from keyboard and configure 2 buttons for keyboard. Enemies: Lizzy now wears a helmet if he doesn't fall by single headshot anymore (wave 6 or difficulty Hardcore) Opponents: Lizzy improvement of hitboxes Balancing: Enemy scanner now recharges 10% faster Balancing: Enemies spawn now a bit faster one after the other UI/Menu: Hud made a bit more transparent. Updates & bug fixes Game Disk Space: Very large reduction of disk space used by the game down from 6.5 GB to 1.2 GB! Match start: opponents now teleport into the map, this can also be around the player. Player teleports into the map. Larger enemy spawn radius. Match start: Added robot advisor that gives info about enemy waves. Opponents: Lizzy got a second visual update (model, texture, thanks to Alex). Match end leaderboard: Now it is visible for all players in the match, what rank and highscore they have before and after the finished match. A new highscore of the player is now better visualized. Lobby: The chat history is now also shown to players who join the lobby later. So you can also leave messages for players joining later if you are away for a short time. TheFlow aka. GameDevDude News and more Regain Earth updatesOct 15, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsDear Regain Earth players & fans, there have not been many updates in the last months. I would like to explain this a bit: I had the luxury to leave my old job temporarily and work full time on Regain Earth (incl. TikTok, Discord). It was a great time, I was able to launch REFS Early-Access, produce many updates for you and had a lot of fun with our small community in Discord. Unfortunately, reality hit me: Since the income from REFS is not enough, I had to go back to my old job. While in my best time I invested 70-80 hours per week in REFS Development & Community, now it's only a few hours per week. Accordingly, you can hardly find me active in our Discord anymore. Now, the most important thing: What's next? I am still determined to bring REFS from EA to final release. However, it will take longer now. From November on 2021, I will again take a little step back in my old job and try to spend more time with you and the REFS development. There should be a new update in December 2021: - New HUD, grenade loadout, some unlockable character skins. Implemented a much more natural shooting behavior for both robots, with a delay when the player is first spotted for the first time or when not seen for a long time. So, Rocksy can not come around the corner and blow you up directly. Also better aim in the direction of the player. And prevent the bug that shooting robots can come to the player position without shooting at him. New Extreme difficulty. Unlock it by surviving 6 rounds on Hardcore. Up to 8 waves are awaiting you on Extreme! You can now change the shoulder side of the camera. Just hold down "Holster Weapon" (Q). Mutants are now called "MuTecs". This was a result of the TikTok poll and is meant to combine mutants and robots (technology) in one word. New effect for "speed boost" grenade Renaming of the difficulty levels. Now Hardcore difficulty (previously "Hard") is only available once you have completed Advanced (previously "Normal").
