The main focus of the update is to provide new ways to play the game, along with making the enemies act more tactically.And of course, what most of you are probably here for, after much difficulty and lucky coincidences, the weapon that has been the most requested weapon for years. We are happy to finally be able to release this coveted item, and hope it has been worth the wait!The Parabellum P08Better late then never.What kind of world war would it be without this piece of kit? This long overdue addition is finally available in the arsenal, providing a middle ground between the Webley and the M1911.It also includes collectible designs thanks to the revamped weapon skin system. So you've got a job to do!Blitz OperationsFor those that cant decide what missions to play next 3 new operations called "Blitz" can be selected to play a random assortment of missions strung together for an operation like experience.The longer Blitz operations will contain high paying missions if you're keen on gold robbing!Operation Free-PlayFor the raiders who would rather play only their favorite slice of a full operation we also took the time to split up operations into their own missions that can be chosen at will. This allows for a much bigger immediate mission pool then before.At Level 10 or higher, Free-play operations can be found in the Operations tab and then the gold "Free Play" option.Quality of LifeA few notable things to recap. If you want more detailed explanations, they can be found on the previous Progress Report post.Enemy AI Changes, Enemies should behave a bit more tactically and not rush you as brainlessly. This is an ongoing effort due to the lack of professional AI programmers on the team. If you see something weird mention it in bug reporting or on the discord!Controller Hot-swapping, You should be able to swap to and from controller and keyboard on the fly without a game restart!Team AI Health system, This should fix moments where a team AI dies immediately if they accidentally roam into a crowd of enemies. This update has been a big challenge for us, largely due to real life reasons, but we are very happy to be able to finally release it for you all!- The M.U.G TeamProgress Report - Update 25May 3, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHello Raiders Once again, a considerable time has passed since the last update, so we wanted to share the current progress of the next update. Truth be told, most of this should have been released a while ago, but as is tradition the update's scale has outgrown the initial plans. Next to the previously mentioned daily bounties and operation additions, we've been working on a shakeup for the enemy AI, along with new convenience features and a Crash Reporter Tool. We also fell down a lot of rabbit holes we have to dust out for our own good, and while these code cleanups may not immediately improve the game, they do help us in the long run by having less useless code to skim through when chasing issues. (it also feels good to throw all that junk out) We cant give an ETA on the update yet since we're not sure how long it will take to iron out the remaining issues, but still wanted to share what's going on and gather some feedback on the update, so let's get to the breakdown: Bounty RAIDs We have showcased the new bounty RAID system on our devstreams before, but those who arent in the loop, bounties are daily missions that assigned a level and a randomly generated bounty card from most card effects in the game. The effects can range from simple stat modifications, to more interesting gameplay changes. (yes, even crab people) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/30493300/b4e45c93d764566a1784330730bdef965666c741.png Upon completing a daily bounty, you will be rewarded with gold, card packs, outfits or melee weapons, all based on the cards rarity. Of course, we know these rewards are not much different from drops you can already get from end of mission chests, and we understand if some of you won't find them satisfactory enough. We are actively trying to find what we can include as fun unlockable stuff, but lot of them are not simple to implement. We would like to ask for you feedback on this matter. If you have any ideas for interesting unlockable items you'd like to see drop from bounties that would be possible for us to implement, let it be player name tags, commwheel customization options or what have you, please let us know! Operation Free-Play Not all of you like playing through the two current operations, but you may still like certain stages in them, so we're adding the option to play any of the stages as standalone missions whenever you'd like. Got a somewhat larger update for you all, as we have been getting much more feedback these past couple of weeks then we were used to. You guys definitely kept us busy, keep em' coming! There have been a few common community concerns that came up we tried to address in this update, as we keep trying to keep up with all the work that needs to be done. Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback and increased interest. We have a lot of plans for the future, and hope we can deliver! Flamer Changes Flamers lately have been underperforming a bit against players, so they received some of changes to make them harder, better, faster, stronger. We hope these changes will make the Flamer a little scarier at a distance and less of a pushover if you were to just run up to him. Read more in the changelog below. Crit Changes After some community feedback brought bad critical hit chances to light, we took a little dive in to see what's up with that, R&Gesus was just not in your favor. After some meddling we came up with a way to cheat the system to make crits feel more consistent. Crit chance is now cumulative, meaning each time you hit an enemy and don't roll a crit, the chances increase until you score one. Dogtag Sounds Some adjustments have been made to make dogtag hunters happier, you will now be able to hear a shimmer if there is a dogtag nearby. Silent at first, the shimmer sounds become more audible the more dogtags you have collected in the mission. We will keep monitoring the discourse around this topic, and make further adjustments if the sounds prove to not be enough. Future Feature - Daily Bounties This feature is still in development and is subject to changes! A new system we're experimenting on (based on the mod of the same name), would give players a shuffled mission and a randomly generated challenge card every day. The rewards for beating the mission scale based on the difficulty of the card itself, with effects ranging from lower player health, increased enemy damage, up to effects like melee only and crab walking! Future Feature - Operations Free Play This feature is still in development and is subject to changes! We know a lot of players aren't a fan of operations, but would still like to play some of the level variations, so this new free play system would allow you to pick stages from both operations. The exact way of how this will work is not decided yet, so we are open to suggestions. Changelog Update size: 2.3 GB Added a shimmering sound effect for dogtags, that get louder the more that's been picked up. Added instanced rendering to even more props and shadow casters to improve performance. Added a cumulative effect to critical hits, for every failed attempt the chances slightly increase until a crit occurs. Added a new hitmarker variation for critical hit kills. Adjusted critical hit chance card effects to be additive rather than multiplicative to make it function without crit skills. Pickpocket Fixed th...Update 24 - The Full Stop RAIDFeb 13, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsGreetings, Raiders! The first update of the year has arrived, and with it comes a new RAID at last. We apologize to make you all wait for this long, nothing ever turns out to be as simple as one anticipates. Still, we are extremely grateful for the continued interest everyone has shown for the game, specially the folks over on the LGL Discord. Trying to keep the light alive has been a massive uphill battle for all of us, but hopefully it will have been worth the effort. The Full Stop RAID Officer Fragezeichen is a prominent member of the SD, and he has been gathering too much intel on RAID operations. He's currently assigned to overseer resource extraction operations at a small village, and got bunkered up in a nearby reinforced bunker. This is the best opportunity we'll get to eliminate him and prevent those documents from surfacing. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/30493300/7dddeffb4e875efec2e47af09af652adc7f73b89.png This is the first new proper raid in years, made in collaboration with the one and only Ilija Petrusic. Featuring a large forest surrounding the main target there's finally a good opportunity to practice your driving skills. It took quite the journey to get here, so we hope you will enjoy this new addition. New Demolitions Warcry: Scorched Earth I like them crispy. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/30493300/b2473c44f8e21185624f79c9902e99d32e04ccab.png Demolitions finally gets its missing warcry! With this new grenade when the time is right you can hold back an assault with ease! T1 While active, equip a special thermite grenade that burns all nearby enemies. T2 Shooting a thermite grenade causes a fire explosion, reducing its remaining duration. This can only be done once per grenade. T3 Thermite grenade capacity is increased by 2. T4 Thermite grenades also cause a fire explosion at the end of their duration. Menu Refresh We recently showed off some new menu UI in an announcement here. We are still slowly converting the menus over to the new style and we hope these changes make your time in the menus a bit nicer. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/30493300/850be65767f7550ad987b5e97b04669edc1aaded.png To summarise these changes: New main menu button design with icons When using controllers, menus now display proper xbox and playstation button icons. Cards menu now allows selections before ready-up (Mission must be selected beforehand!) Flamer Changes A small change happened to flamers. They can no longer create random undodgeable fire pits below players without warning, but instead will throw incendiary grenades at far away enemies. First of all, happy new year to all. (what do you mean it's almost February, how'd that happen???) We wanted to share with you what we've been working on, some coming in the next update, some later in the year. It's not an all conclusive list, and we have many more ideas we want to work on, but here's an outline for our short(ish) term plans plans. What's coming soon? New Mission We showed off parts of the new raid in its early stages and began teasing it this year. The mission is going through beta testing and we've gotten a lot of great feedback so far! The other 5 vary between difficulty and uniqueness! New Warcry Demolitions have been missing a 2nd warcry since the release of the proficiencies rework, but it's finally coming. The Scorched Earth warcry grants you thermite grenades that burn nearby enemies, letting you hold down choke points. Redesigned Main Menu For some time the main menu (shared with the pause menu) has been very simple and not up to standards in terms of navigation. All selections now have an associated icon to make it easier to identify what you're looking for. The exit game buttons have been combined and turned into a modern 3 item selection to choose if you want to back out to the main menu or straight to desktop. Reworked Cards Menu Cards are unfortunately one of the more forgotten mechanics in the game from what we hear, having to make decisions when youre already in the ready up menu and want to go GO! GO!! kills the flow. To fix this we're giving players the ability to just paroose and choose before you jump into the ready up stages! (You will still have access to the menu there also) As a bonus you can now also preview cards that you do not own and see what they do. For those who have missed out on the candy craze, fear not, the Tricky Treats card will be available as a regular card drop, allowing you to still experience the event. The Lead Bar Liberated from a Nazi general who insisted the bars were just simple lead bars, used for sinking important documents within a briefcase in case of capture.
