1.3.5 is live!Aug 18, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! 😊 After almost three weeks of waiting, I can finally announce that achievements and overall Steam integration is back! This project is using the latest version of the Greenworks API and NW.js, so it should be absolutely future proof for quite a few years. 🎮 Thank you all very much for your patience! I hope you enjoy playing Rabisco and some of its brand new achievements. ✨1.3.3 is live!Jul 29, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! 🙂 This update is a lot smaller than the previous one (1.3.1), but very relevant nonetheless. Most of the changes are bug fixes, however there’s quite a big addition to gamepad users here: full analog support. 🎮 Before this update you could only move the main character in 8 fixed directions, which can lead to some very unpredictable results if you’re using an analog stick (which many people do use), so after a lot of try and error I can finally announce that it’s now possible to walk in absolutely any direction by playing the game with a supported gamepad (Xbox, PS4, Switch, etc). If you enjoy using a gamepad I highly recommend you to give Rabisco another try now with this very simple, but cool update. 🎮 This was probably the biggest highlight in the update, but I’ll list the rest of the changes down below. 📒 Fixed a bug where conveyor belts could move the main character in incorrect directions. Added the game version to the window title. Fixed a bug where the main character could play the wrong animation after finishing a level without any remaining stamina. Fixed a bug where the main character could enter sleeping mode while using the eye statue. Merged all three robots from the final level into a single robot thanks to the new dialog system. Fixed a few english punctuation issues during cutscenes. Made a few balancing changes to the way the peanut butter mechanic works in the final levels. Well, thank you very much for playing Rabisco, I really appreciate the fact that you gave one of my games a chance! Have a great one. ✨ Edit 001: Apparently there’s an issue with the Greenworks features, it’s not triggering achievement anymore. I’ll start to investigate this problem and release a patch as soon as possible. 💻 Edit 002: I know it's taking quite a long time to fix the Greenworks issue (17 days already), but unfortunately I rely on a third party developer to change the base API and he seems to be a little bit busy at the moment. However, he should be back working on it next week, so everyone can get their achievements back! I'm sorry for this inconvenience, thank you all for your amazing support and patience. 💕 GitHub issue link in case anyone want to follow our progress: https://github.com/Scirra/Construct-3-bugs/issues/4079 Edit 003: Everything is fixed! For further information about this topic, please take a look at the 1.3.5 update patch notes. 🎮1.3.1 is live!Jul 14, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! 😊 I’ve been working with some amazing people from another company (can’t really mention their name right now because of our NDA contract) in order to bring Rabisco to more platforms, to do that, we needed to update quite a lot of stuff in the original project, by adding new features and improving the old ones. Since most of the work is already done, there was literally no reason for me to not release this content as a free update for you all. I’ll list the changes below. 🎮 Please, let me know if you have any issues with this update, so I can fix it as soon as possible! 💻 Checkpoints - I really want to make my games more accessible, so hardcore players can show their skills by making amazing speedruns, while more casual players can simply have some fun without the frustration of restarting an entire level again because the final segment is too hard or something like that. Hard mode - Don't worry, the checkpoints are completely optional and you can toggle them off in the hub world, by interacting with the new skull shrine. New font - The old font relied a lot on the users operational system and on which fonts they had installed in their computer, it could lead to some very weird results in virtual machines for example, so I included a bitmap font in the project files, which will be automatically detected and used by the game, fixing many issues from older versions while also being more readable. New achievements - There are two new achievements as well, you can get one of them by defeating the final boss and the other by activating the hard mode shrine for the first time. New timer - I know some players love to make speedruns, so I added a new timer to the game that will properly format the text like the standard "00 : 28 : 34" instead of just "1714 seconds". This is more of a quality of life improvement. Splash screen - I added the lovely Green Dinosaur Games logo as a splash screen before the game actually starts, it's a small touch, but definitely helps to show the player who's the studio behind the game in a more memorable way. Bug fixes - There were some very small bugs in the game that I personally never noticed, at least not before I play tested it for days like I did recently. Well, every single bug I was able to find was absolutely fixed. But, if you ever find anything else that looks out of place just let me know, please. Well, thank you very much for playing Rabisco, I really appreciate the fact that you gave one of my games a chance! Have a great one. ✨ BTW, your in-game progress won't be lost! Everything should stay in place. 💾1.1.7 is live!Oct 1, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! Recently a speedrunner on Twitch found out that the in-game timer stops before the final boss fight is over, so I rushed to fix this problem, but I also did a few small changes to level 89, because it was incredibly harder than it should be, since the laser guns hitboxes are quite big and the character could also die by touching them. Thank you very much for your incredible support and patience. ːpinkneonheartː1.1.6 is live!Sep 20, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! Thankfully Ashley was able to recover our most recent project files with the new audio system and a few other changes, everything is now available in the live version of the game. If you didn't had the chance to see the changes in the 1.1.6 version, I'll leave the link to the latest post here. Thank you so so much for your amazing support and patience. ːpinkneonheartː1.1.5 is live!Sep 14, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! This update is a bit bigger than usual, instead of only fixing issues, I also added some very cool new content. Now there's secret entrance in the first level of the game, but you will only be able to open the gates after collecting the hidden gems. This is great, because now the gems finally have a purpose, they act as some kind of key. After collecting the gems and opening the gates, you will find a rainbow star, very similar to what is present in the Mario franchise. This rainbow star, will grant you a very nice looking HUE effect and infinite stamina. I believe speedrunners will make a great usage of this item. I also fixed a couple of reported issues. Now, the main character will always have a proper scale (1:1) after reaching the end of a level, instead of a "stretched" size. After defeating the finall boss with three dynamite charges, there used to be a forth dynamite round being spawned, which could cause the player to think that there's some kind of hidden secret, but there isn't, so the last dynamite round was removed. That's it for now. Thank you very very much for everything! Have an amazing day, everyone. ːpinkneonheartː1.1.4 is live!Sep 12, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! This is the third consecutive day with a small update to improve the general game experience for Rabisco. I'll keep making this kind of update until everything in the game feels in place. If you find any kind of bug related to gameplay, audio or visual, just open a new discussion and I'll do my best to fix it ASAP. In this specific update, I changed the way the main character is positioned in the hub world. Now, if the player come from the main menu to the hub world, the main character will be positioned in the latest unlocked level block. However, if the player come from any of the 100 levels to the hub world, the main character will be positioned in the equivalent level block. This makes it easier to navigate through the levels. I also added a new Z ordering system to improve the game performance on older PCs. Z ordering is the process of telling the computer the order it should render each object in the screen. The new system is kind of experimental, so it should become even more optimized in the near future. The new positioned audio system I mentioned previously still is in the works, it shouldn't take much time to be available via free update. Thank you very much for your attention! Have a nice day. :pinkneonheart.1.1.3 is live!Sep 11, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! Here we are with another small update containing some definitive and temporary fixes for recently discovered bugs. You can now press F12 to take screenshots without being bothered by the NW.js development tools, that's a definitive fix. However, there's a problem where weaker PCs can suffer to run the game if there are too many instances of the same audio clip being played at the same time, so I disabled a few of those sound effects temporally in order to develop a new audio system without ruining the experience for a few player in the mean time. The disabled sounds effects are: Moving spikes swing Cannon shot Laser gun break Flame thrower burst Pulse beam charge I'll introduce a new audio system in the near future, so these audio clips will be back. The last thing I would like to mention is the "Time to sleep", I noticed that the main character was entering the "Sleeping" animation very fast, so I changed the "Time to sleep" from 10 seconds to 30 seconds, so it shouldn't trigger very frequently. That's it for now. Thank you very very much for your patience and for playing Rabisco! I really hope all of you are enjoying it. ːpinkneonheartː1.1.2 is live!Sep 10, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, everyone! Rabisco is finally released and I couldn't be happier! Thank you very very much for your amazing support. We are starting with a very small patch to fix a black screen problem that could occur during level transitions. It was an engine related problem, but everything should be normal now. If you find any bug, please report it to me in the community discussions, I'll try to fix it ASAP. Have a wonderful day! Love you all. ːpinkneonheartː
