MicropatchJun 9, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsAs is the tradition, a patch to fix the last patch. Doing too much coke would cause the game speed to go to zero, which meant you'd be stuck forever. This would also save and corrupt your file, forever leaving you in a state of overdose. Small update againJun 9, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsI was going to start using the beta build but the budget screen was busted and I wanted to get that fixed in the default build so here we are again. The budget screen should now have correct values for dividends. (I was only multiplying the amount owned by the dividend percentage before, when I should have also been multiplying by the stock value.) Changed mech aiming a bit. I think it's better now but I might bring the old style back as an option in the settings, as this is probably going to be divisive. Added bullet time effect to cocaine. The effect is stronger with bigger doses. Some new dialogue for a couple of characters, but nothing particularly important. Specialist class now starts with an orgone energy active camo suit. Uses orgone energy to make you nearly invisible for a short period of time. Not available for other classes right now but it will be later, you also need to start a new game because I'm not currently dealing with class changes properly, this will be fixed later. Added orgone shield mechanics for mechs. It's currently only available with one of the armor units. Hasn't been balanced or tested much and needs more sfx and vfx. Also a funny anecdote, someone was telling me that the difficulty levels don't work and posted a video of them fighting Lorenzo outside of HQ with all the different difficulty levels. If you don't know, Lorenzo is supposed to be impossible to kill here, and his purpose is to push you back to HQ to accept the main quest. The "time to kill" in this case is always going to be the same. If you want to test the difficulty levels please pick a different enemy.Small updateJun 4, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsSmall update just to get back on track. After this one I will begin using the beta build, which you will be able to opt in to. This is just to get some pressure off potentially messing things up, I want the default build to be at least somewhat stable. I will let you know once it's live here. Updated Godot to 3.6. Seems to work fine but I didn't have time to test everything yet. If it breaks everything it doesn't matter that much since there's like 5 players playing at any given time. Added some new dialogue for Bion. New parts, SEEB Booster-M and GHI STAR. A better grappling hook item, well hidden and a bit OP, this will probably be moved to a different place later but I thought it would be fun to have for now until I get around to adding more options. Added a budget screen where you can see your daily income and what it consists of. Shooting in EFP HQ no longer generates ammo debt. Enemy mech aiming speed is a bit slower. The car outside the gym is now a prop so you don't end up aggroing the whole gym by shooting it. If you shoot someone without being seen it doesn't aggro the entire faction anymore. For example if you kill Konrad in his office you can walk out and nobody will care. Small patchMay 6, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsIf you go to the title screen from a loaded save the game now actually resets all the data when you start a new game. Reset aim (default binding Q) now consistently centers the aim of the V-Stalker Bug fixingMay 6, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsThis is purely a bug fixing patch. Changed "Return to HQ" to "Return to Title Screen", which is more useful Added descriptions for rest of the stats. Bullets now have a maximum lifetime. Removed "Wait" from the key bindings as it was deprecated. Added a standard flashlight to the garage shop. Falling asleep mid-jump will no longer launch you to space. The mechs in PHC Free City are now hostile. Rappel can no longer be used to climb up walls, at least I think so. I'm probably wrong. Semi-auto weapons equipped in the aux slot now function properly. Single shot weapons now properly show as such on the ammo load widget. Secret of the Safe can now be completed by opening the safe door. The in-game HP is now properly in line with what is shown on the status screen. This makes the game 2% easier. No need to thank me. Mech weapons should now load properly. This one is probably not fixed because I've already fixed it like five times. Fixed the insufficient funds bug when trying to use the "yes" dialogue option when in debt. Toxicity shouldn't go to negative values when using antidotes anymore. Fixed light tank hitboxes to include the turret. You can no longer duplicate the Shane figurine by spamming the dialogue option. Duplicating an item by selling it to someone and then loading the game is no longer possible. Stock market price should now update correctly. Stock prices can no longer go negative. The stock market buy max and sell max buttons should now function as intended. Fixed a bug where you could sometimes buy fractional stocks. Semi-auto weapons now function as intended when dual wielding. Introduced a limit to how many times a single npc can create blood particles. Garage is now updated properly when moving between the tabs. You can no longer use the EFP Siren as an engine. Psycho Patrol R early access reviewApr 4, 2025 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunI cannot review Psycho Patrol R in any way that matters. I could approach this mech-piloting, bullet-hungry immersive policing sim like any other first-person shooter with RPG elements, and tell you about its levels, storytelling, and gamey features. Or I could evaluate it on its own terms, as a piece of hallucinogenic hypercapitalist critique wrapped in a kevlar jacket of impenetrable irony whose own €39 price tag appears to be part of the joke. Neither approach is going to work. Psycho Patrol R requires a buy-in of brain rot and an almost memetic openness to mania. You'll need to play it to better misunderstand it. Read more Psycho Patrol R, the FPS-Mech sim from the creator of Cruelty Squad, is one of the most challenging, complicated games I've ever played—and worth every second it took to figure out its dealMar 31, 2025 - PC GamerI've been curious about Psycho Patrol R for a long time, but after spending seven hours with it in early access, it's now one of my most anticipated games: A ludicrously complex immersive sim, mech sim, and open-ended RPG in the tradition of Deus Ex, Morrowind, or Stalker. It's also extremely difficult, and I feel like I've just scratched the surface after all those hours of playtime... Fixed money duplication glitch involving bribing civilians. Settings now save when the game autosaves. Save settings button is still there and you should still press it after you're done changing your settings, just in case. SleepfixMar 26, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsLast patch broke sleeping reducing your fatigue, this one fixes that.Small patchMar 26, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHey everyone. I still have the flu but I couldn't entirely keep myself away from working. I focused on easy to fix issues. Replaced reference to Ohio with a reference to Michigan. This was due to skibidi rizzoid zoomers thinking it was a meme of some sort. You can't let these people win. Added EFP Standard Cyanide item. Useful in case you get stuck. Added a fallback option for completing the Memory is Precious quest. Some items now get new stock every day at the HQ shop. Fixed mystery enemy in necropolis having way too loud audio, and activating when it wasn't meant to. Fixed airsoft pistol occasionally crashing due to not having a valid ammo type. Fixed spawning inside the seafloor when moving from Harbor to Bridge of the Sovereign. Fixed infinite sleeping exploit. Fixed dying from poison while in the V-Stalker softlocking the game. Fixed being able to repeatedly buy and sell from a single NPC to drain all their money. Fixed rappel creating infinite visual duplicates if it was recast before colliding with something. Fixed falling through the elevator if you go unconscious while it moves. Attempted a fix for the windows display scaling issue. (Can't really test this very well) Attempted to fix the high pitched noise when walking. (This doesn't affect me so I can only guess what causes it) Minor patch 2Mar 24, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsSmall patch. Unless I manage to turn all enemies into fleshrats by introducing inverted Y axis I will now take a small break, due to having the flu. Added option to invert mouse Y axis. Added option to limit FPS Fixed a money exploit. Menu frontend should now more accurately represent actual settings after booting the game. If you're having problems with the resolution and text size, you should try disabling Windows UI scaling for this game.Psycho Patrol R is now out in Early AccessMar 23, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHey everyone. Psycho Patrol R is now out in Early Access. Please keep in mind that the game is not done, you will experience bugs, balancing issues, and everything else you hate in games. This is ok, the game hates you too. I hope you can still derive some enjoyment from it. Thank you.Minor fixMar 23, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsTried fixing a bug where the game would incorrectly center to the left corner. May not be fixed because it doesn't happen to me and I can't test it.Psycho Patrol R release date and trailerFeb 6, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsPsycho Patrol R is coming out as an Early Access game on March 31st 2025. Here's the trailer on youtube. That's all! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1907590/Psycho_Patrol_R/The next game from Cruelty Squad's creator, a 'policing and punishment simulator', has dropped a new trailer showing off its gruesome mech combatFeb 5, 2025 - PC GamerCruelty Squad is undoubtedly one of the weirdest indie breakthroughs of this decade, a wilfully obtuse and unpleasant immersive sim in which you play a corporate assassin in a lo-fi 3D world painted with vomit. But we dug its counter-cultural (and counter-mechanical) approach and, following its success, the developer has since been working on a new game called Psycho Patrol R, which has just dropped a new trailer in advance of its early access launch in a few weeks' time...
