Trading Cards releasedOct 1, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHello dear players, Since the publisher of app is changed and we are new owners of app, we would like to inform that we added Trading Cards in Project Lounge, it's just a small "thank you" for all players who supported this project. Please use Unstable Build 14 if you want to have Lounge compability with upcoming builds. However, please do keep in mind, game breaking bugs might be present. Not all features intended for build 14 are still in the build, so more are to come. Current changelog (Subject to Change): General: - Network optimization. - Physics optimization. - Save file formatting rehauled designed for as much compability as possible with future updates. - Heavy file size optimization as well as seperate files for terrain and lounge data. This means faster loading, less downloading. - Physics detection change, objects should not fall through ground anymore. - Water visual improvement. - Made most of the small plant objects uncollidable, thus being able to walk through them. - Added a button in main menu to lead to the Item Store from where players can support developers directly. - Fixed the placement preview appearing outside the editor. - Fixed the terrain shaping preview appearing outside the editor. - Added more tips for the loading screen. - Matchmaking wont display Lounges with different versions. Editor: - Added a gray grid going over X and Z axis. - Added Undo and Redo for past 50 actions. CTRL + Z to undo and CTRL + Y to redo. It's eligable for following actions: Spawn Entity, Delete Entities, Duplicate Entities and Entity parameter applying - Added Entity inspection window. Click one more time on an Entity while it's selected and modify it's parameters without destroying it and making another one. Also a possibility for copying it's parameters from one entity to another. - Duplicating objects will now move them to position of mouse cursor. - Changed entity visualization featuring entity icon and it's facing direction. - New Scene Gizmo that replaces an old one. Pressing on it's axis will change the camera perspective to an according axis. - Object Selection tool now features options to choose between local and global positioning gizmo. Right now I'm very busy getting ready for upcoming school exams and that means progress has been quite stagnant. My last exam will be on June 16th. After that day, the development pace will steamroll into full potential as it was on the launch days! I hope to push out one major before getting back to full pace. It's going to include optimized saving system and upcoming Unity 5.6 which features network optimization and it's a really big deal for game like Project Lounge! This is automatic and should help people behind firewalls to connect. After direct connect failure on the first time, NAT Punchthrough will be used to try establish connection between host and client. - When subscribing to Lounges on Steam Workshop it's no longer necassary to restart the game. After the Lounge will get downloaded through Steam Client, the list of Workshops will be updated. - Uploading Lounges to workshop will now show progress. - Player head faces the direction which player actually looks at. - Shadow tweaks, this one needs a bit more tweaking, but it looks a bit better. - VSync option unlocked. - When connecting to Lounge the download progress will be shown in megabytes. - Animations are now syncronized locally. This needs to be improved a bit more, but already gives better net and local perfomance. Editor: - New Primitive Objects! - Added directional light possibility to Light Entity. Use rotation to direct it in needed position. - Stairs removed for a while.. - Fixed Lights not loading properly in the Editor. Hopefully what's in the new update will be okay after such long pause and especially how I used to do frequent patches. Anyway, lets get to the main features. I can't remember everything what's in there so I'll go through most important parts: LOUNGE TERRAIN: - New structure, allows more detail and looks prettier itself. - Resizable. - No need to preview low-poly anymore, changes are immediate. - Optimization for when sculpting, smaller FPS drops. LOUNGE GENERAL: - UI change, should be easier for eyes with less orange and white colors blending. - Entities: Spawnpoints. Previously you could only have one spawnpoint, now you can have several of them on Lounge and when spawning player will go to the random one of those. Lights. Now you can have lights in your Lounge, however keep in mind that they are a bit perfomance invasive, so try to use them sparingly. GENERAL: - Distant fog that blends with sky to make smooth blend in further distances. - Workshop support for Lounges. You can now upload Lounges and play Lounges uploaded by other people. That's the main features for now. There's one more Christmas update coming up quite soon, sorry once again and enjoy festive season!
