Space Soldiers: Relative walk mode on moving objects such as flying spaceships. Lower body procedurally animated (follow delay, inverse kinematics). Jetpack engines, wings, and stabilizers procedurally animated. Switchable third-person and first-person view. Physical ragdoll animation upon elimination. Weapon recoil. Laser rifle with semi- and fully automatic fire modes. Rocket launcher added with homing missiles. Flak gun added with explosive projectiles. AI-controlled enemy. Spaceships: Big ship with automatic turrets (lasers, missiles, flak). Big ship with configurable user or AI mixed control. Big ship is hackable to convert it to your side. Gunship with rockets and anti-aircraft cannons. Individually destructible ship elements with weak points. AI-controlled spaceships as enemies and allies. Targeting Systems and Radar: All space troopers, spaceships, and subsystems have transponders and UI markers. Selectable targets for homing missiles or anti-aircraft shells. Mission: Spawn 5 waves of enemies to destroy the space station. Destruction of the space station results in mission failure. Defeating all enemies results in mission success. One day this version will be improved by an upcoming alpha update and the price will be increased again. You might be wondering why not free ?! The current version that is being worked on is available for download free of charge from our project website, because it enables easy access for interested test players. Once this test phase has been completed, the Steam version receives the update. Since your support should be rewarded, when you buy the game you secure the upcoming full version as a bargain. The income goes directly into project development, such as paying for a helping hand or special tools. In practice, you are the booster. The graphic content known from the Steam version and other available assets will now be integrated into the stable multiplayer prototype. It can be assumed that the Steam version will not be updated this year, but the prototype that is available for the public test phase will receive these updates first. As long as the most important assets such as character, vehicle and level design have not been integrated into the new prototype, it will be available and remain free of charge. As announced, the current work on the Game is focused on a new foundation that will one day replace the current retail version on Steam. The new prototype is freely available for download on our project page The Test Phase runs until the most important wishes of the players have been integrated and all Bugs have been eliminated. Since different efforts are required for different new features, we have to set priorities. First, the Framework will built and then the Facade will painted. Therefore the game looks very primitive frankly but for those who want to explore the inner values of the game it is sufficient. The following included features differ from the current Steam sales version: Character relative locomotion on moving objects (physical debris and flying spaceship). Character independent view control to compensate Motion Sickness. Character Runtime IK (aiming, hand, feeds). Character Respawn when eliminated. Character Ragdoll when eliminated. Character weapons recoil. Character friction simulation. Multiplayer official running Linux server. Multiplayer use of new library Mirror Networking. Multiplayer lag compensation by server-side authority. Match restart when the target score is reached (Deathmatch). A server list as we had previously announced is not yet integrated. For the time being, there will generally be no way to host a server yourself, but definitely sometime. However, we provide two modes for this: An Online mode to our official EU server and a Solo mode without lags and opponents for Testers with poor latency or without Internet. Try it and write a comment for everything good or bad you noticed! The more information we get, the better it is to work with. If it is too much for you to write then simply take a Screenshot so that we can get the information from your HUD like Frames per Second or the Ping. This energy is fuel for us. We are currently working on the new character mechanics and network function. In order for these new features to be future-oriented and reliable in the new basic version, there is still a lot of work to do for a two-man programmer team that still uses their free time.
