Features Security Guards Security Guards are coming to Planet Coaster 2 and they're ready to keep your guests in check. Place security guards down to patrol areas, as they watch over guests and are on alert for any pickpockets or vandals! Rock and Glass Colour Customisation You'll have even more opportunities for creativity with glass colour customisation and additional glass shapes, as well as a set of colour customisable rocks. This update includes restaurants, colour customisation for pools, Workshop and Franchise enhancements, and more. We've also included a number of fixes and adjustments to make your gameplay experience even better! Please read below for a breakdown of what's in Update 4. FEATURES Restaurants Players will now be able to build and open restaurant facilities! Benches and tables can be connected to restaurants. Vendors serve food and drink from a counter, guests will take their meal on a tray to a table. Customise each menu by setting different ingredients from the menu options. A restaurant blueprint per Planet Coaster 2 theme will be available (Planet Coaster, Viking, Resort, Aquatic and Mythology) as well as a dining booth, table, and restaurant related signs. Workshop enhancements The main menu Workshop tab is getting some additional sections to show off more of the amazing work from our community. These are: "Featured Creators" "Featured Creations" Players will now be able to follow their favourite Workshop creators and stay up to date with all of their uploads via a new Workshop screen. Pool colour customisation options In Update 4, players will now be able to further customise their water parks using some extra colour options for pools. This includes: Colour customisation options for pool tiles. Colour customisation options for pool water. "Colour Strength" and "Lighting Glow" sliders for pool water. Players can now also add the colour of their choice to water shape scenery items. Standard ‘de-themed’ coasters The standard versions of 2 more coaster rides will be included: Pearl Rides - Spinning Manic Mouse Valais & Nidwalden - Inverted - Flying The Manta Ray and Mouse pieces from these coasters have now also been added as individual scenery pieces to be used throughout parks and other rides. Returning ride Another ride returns from the original Planet Coaster! Update 4 is bringing back the flat ride Scizzer, fully rebuilt for Planet Coaster 2 and ready for players to customise and guests to enjoy. Career Mode Sandbox maps Pre-made maps from Career mode Act 2 will be added to Sandbox mode as a starting point for creative projects. UPDATES Additional ride blueprint information Updated Tooltips when hovering over pre-built ride blueprints will now show additional ride information. This will help in some cases when deciding which rides to build when completing objectives in Career Mode. Coaster supports on paths Players can now decide if they want to allow coaster supports to be placed on paths via a toggle in the Settings Menu under the 'Game Options' tab. FEATURES Enhanced flume behaviours Please note that existing flumes will need to turn the ‘Enhanced Guest Flume Behaviours' toggle on to see the new flume behaviours. Existing flumes in your parks may also be affected visually due to clipping with the new round bottomed flumes - adjustments to your flume placement will resolve this. Newly placed flumes will use the new flume behaviours toggle by default. As part of Update 3, all flumes bottoms are now rounded, and inflatables will deform to match this shape as they slide down! Your guests will also enjoy a number of new ways to travel down the flume special pieces. Depending on their entry speed onto the piece, there will be different directions their raft could take! You will need to toggle ‘Enhanced Guest Flume Behaviours’ on to see this. Flume jettisoning will also be making its way to the game, with guests reacting to it. Although Jettison looks fun, guests might have a different opinion as they go through the experience and there will be negative reactions from it if they don’t land in water. Panic will overwhelm your guest, and they will leave the park. On top of the above, we will be making further enhancements to physics and guests behaviours. Career Mode Sandbox maps Pre-made maps from the Career Tutorial and Act 1 will be added to Sandbox Mode to give you a starting point and get your creative juices flowing! Standard ‘de-themed’ coasters We are adding standard versions of the Outamax - Launched Hydraulic and Vector – Sit Down Launched New Gen, so you can express more of your creativity and make these coasters your own! The Airplane and Racing Car pieces from these coasters will also be available to use as scenery items for your park and rides. Returning coaster The Vector - Inverted Suspended is making a comeback from the original Planet Coaster. This thrilling ride has been fully rebuilt for Planet Coaster 2 for you to customise and for your guests to enjoy! Returning theme Yee-haw! Customise your park with the returning Western theme, counting more than 350 scenery pieces. These include building props, animatronics and wall sets inspired by the untamed Wild West. Custom audio for rides Make your attractions feel even more unique by importing your own .ogg, .mp3, .wav, .wma, .aac, .m4a and .flac audio files to existing rides. HOTFIX 4 We are also pleased to announce that we will be deploying Hotfix 4 on January 22 to address the crashes we have been tracking via the in-game crash reports, including the following: Crash when closing various info panels Crash when downloading a high number of blueprints from the Frontier Workshop Crash when in the Research screen Crash when returning to Main Menu from a game level Crash when opening the Settings screen If you are experiencing any other issues, please report them over on our Issue Tracker site. We also ask that where possible you can share as much detail as you can, including your system specs. This helps our team to investigate what’s causing the crash.
