This will prevent players clicking on it while trying to shoot. Also added an animation so that the exclamation mark is more visible when a challenge is completed. *Added 2 more audio sliders. 1 for bucket sounds and 1 for peg sounds. This will be useful for players who do not play the game muted and have gotten far into the game. *Added another slider inside settings. This slider changes the amount of gold text pop ups that spawn. *Offline progression balance. Gold is increased and prestige points are slightly increased. *Now when you purchase MAX upgrades, the total price is also displayed. *BIG FIX: Fixed a bug where the prestige points would overflow upon reaching 2.1 billion, causing it to display minus prestige points. PegIdle - Patch 10 (SAVE BACKUP FILE SYSTEM)Jul 25, 2024 - Community Announcements*Save backup system is finally here! I’m sorry that this was not implemented at release, this would prevent the loss of progress for the players who experienced pc crashes. I was not aware that this was going to be an issue for a (although small percentage of players) decent amount of players. Side note: The game has always had auto saving. Some players have written in their reviews that the game does not have auto saving, this is false. You never need to manually save the game, apart from right before closing out of the game if you want to make sure the progress is saved right up to the end of your play session. What did I do to make sure the backup is actually working? Answer: The loss of progress will happen if the player shuts down the pc (either with a crash or force shuts it down while the game is running) but it will only lose progress if the pc shuts down right when the game saves, and the game saves every 10 seconds, which means you are quite unlucky if this happened to you. I did 2 things to make sure the backup system is working. First I deleted a part of the save file to corrupt it. And when I open the game again, the backup save is loaded. I also added a test auto save pop up so that I could try and force shut down my pc while the game is auto saving, this was actually quite tricky and it did not seem to corrupt the save file because I need to shut it down at the exact moment it saves, BUT when I spam clicked the save button while shutting down my pc, this did indeed corrupt my file, and It did load the backup file! So it should be working! But I need to also mention something else. There is always a chance that upon a power outage or a similar pc crash that it will mess up the steam cloud. So if it’s the steam cloud that messes up, and not a corrupt save file. You can take a look at this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2821890/discussions/0/4418675885156990943/ I also made a few more changes in this patch: *Rainbow pegs now resets the buff back to 5 seconds if buff is active while a rainbow peg is hit and activates the same buff. *Made yet a few more changes on a few boards that caused balls to get stuck.PegIdle - Patch 9 (More bug fixes)Jul 4, 2024 - Community Announcements*BUG FIX: Time gone on offline progression would not be reset to 0 when closing out of the game if the player shuts the pc down while the game is open. This would result in the players receiving more gold and prestige points than you're supposed to. *BUG FIX: Fixed a bug that would toggle the auto drop inside the ball upgrade frame if you are right clicking on a different ball. *Made yet another change on a few boards where balls could get stuck. PegIdle - Patch 8 (More bugs fixes!)Jul 2, 2024 - Community Announcements*Made a change on a board on level 8 that caused balls to get stuck *Fixed some typos *BUG FIX: Balls would sometimes disappear when hitting the side of the buckets. *You can now press the right mouse button to turn on and off auto drop. This prevenets you from needing to open the upgrade frame everytime you want to turn the auto drop off. *BUG FIX: There were STILL issues with the board clearing challenges where the challenge would get stuck at 15/16 (or 1 below). I’ve made it so that once you have been clearing boards on a level for a while, the board clear challenge will be completed. This will only be a fix for the few players who experience this bug. PegIdle - Patch 7 (BUG FIXES)Jun 29, 2024 - Community Announcements*BUG FIX: Fixed a bug that was introduced last patch. It was related to rapidly shooting balls by holding down left mouse click. It would not stop shooting. *BUG FIX: Gold and prestige points from offline progression did not count towards stats. *This next bug fix is a MAYBE. There have been quite a bit of issues with the board clear challenges. Whenever a bug has been reported that is related to this, it has been hard to find the issue. This patch might fix it for some players. If you are reading this and you have a bug related to the board clear challenges, let me know and I would also appreciate if you had info that can help me with these bugs. For example: When did you encouted this bug? Is a challenge stuck at 0/X or at 14/15? Have you player the game after Patch 5 and 7, and is it still bugged? This will help with those annoying last few pegs that are tricky to hit. *Fixed some typos *Fixed some text that was not translated correctly. *BUG FIX: Purchasing auto ball for the first time would not display the amount the auto drop time gets decreased by. Only the first ball was correct. *BUG FIX: Tiny bucket colliders would overlap with big buckets when they go through each other. *Added a highly requested QOL improvement: You now can hold down the left mouse click to shoot when you have purchased 2 or more balls instead of needing to click each time to shoot. *Added smoke effects when you shoot 2 or more balls. I completely forgot to add this before release. PegIdle - Patch 5 (BUGS fixes and balancing)Jun 27, 2024 - Community Announcements*BUG FIX: Fixed a bug where the total achievement amount achieved would display the wrong number. *BUG FIX: Fixed an issue where the board clear challenges could reset to 0. *BUG FIX: Board clear challenges have a different saving system, which could cause an issue where the saves would save before all other saves. This could cause an issue where if you close out of the game before both saves save, it would only register the board clear saves. *BUG FIX: Turning off auto drop on a ball would impact prestige points from offline progression. *BUG FIX: Fixed a bug where prestige points from offline progression would be 0. *Balancing: Made prestige point gain from offline progression better. PegIdle - Patch 4 (QOL, balancing and Bug fixes)Jun 24, 2024 - Community Announcements*Fullscreen is now borderless *The game audio is now muted upon closing out/alt tabbing out of the game. *Now when the auto drop is turned off on a ball, the ball frame changes color which indicates that the auto drop is off without having to open the upgrade frame and manually check each ball. *Slightly increased the chance for 2X, 3X, 5X and 10X prestige poins. *Increased the chance of all prestige upgrades that are related to receiving prestige points from buckets. *BUG FIX: Ball 18 and the final ball was not able to land inside the bucket. PegIdle - Patch 3 (More QOL and Bug fixes)Jun 23, 2024 - Community Announcements*Fixed some more typos *Made a few changes on some boards on level 6 which caused some balls to get stuck *BUG FIX: This one is the reason this patch took so long. The colliders on the buckets would overlap with each other which would cause some balls to bounce out of the bucket when they should have entered. Colliders will now get set off once buckets go through each other. *You can now turn the auto drop on and off on all balls at once! The buttons for this are found inside settings. I am planning on adding a sort of icon or indicator on the ball frames once the auto drop on a ball is set off. This makes it so that the player does not need to open the ball upgrades frame on each individual ball to check which ones have auto drop off. *BUG FIX, well sort of: There is a text pop up scaling system in place for PegIdle. When the golden peg and prestige peg chances get really high, and once there are a lot of balls auto dropping at once, the chance to spawn a text pop once a ball hits a golden peg, prestige peg or bucket is lowered. This is to prevent a massive lag spike/FPS drop when a new board spawns in and the game needs to render 100+ text pop ups in 1 frame. This scaling system is now working with the auto drop toggle! PegIdle - Patch 2 (QOL UPDATE)Jun 21, 2024 - Community Announcements*Added an option to turn off auto drop on each ball. This was the most requested QOL improvement by players. For the moment, you can only turn on and off each ball individually. I will add an option to turn on and off auto drop on all balls at once if players want this. Switching auto drop off will not reset back to on after prestige. Switching it off will also save between game sessions. *Added an option to hook the ball upgrade frame. This means you can keep the ball upgrade frame open while shooting balls. *You can now equip balls using the 1-9 keys while the ball upgrade frame is open. I also made equipping balls with the 1-9 keys more responsive. *Made a tiny change on a board on level 4 that caused some balls to get stuck on downward facing triangles. *BUG FIX: Max purchase for apricot +1 ball did not work properly. *BUG FIX: MAX text on max auto drop and max ball purchased would turn green and red even if you cannot purchase it. *BUG FIX: Gold clear bonus would give a larger bonus than it was supposed to sometimes.
