This patch contains new endgame tower maps, checkpoints for map areas, respawn attempts for the Arbiter of Ash, as well as many monster changes, unique changes, improvements and bug fixes. Please note that these are still subject to change prior to the patch’s deployment. You can find the full patch notes on our website here. There were also a handful of changes we didn’t quite get ready in time for this patch, but we will be getting them to you as soon as they’re ready! Una’s Songs still won’t be playing correctly, this was unexpected even for us to cause us this much trouble to fix. We’ve addressed some feedback already and are working on more fixes for key pain points in an upcoming patch. The full patch notes are coming soon, but check out some of the more significant changes below. Gameplay Features Like we mentioned last week, we’ll be adding the capacity to fast-travel between Checkpoints within an area, as well as adding many more checkpoints to areas, generally at all entrances and exits to areas, meaning if you find these first you’ll be able to instantly travel to them to continue exploring. We’ll also be making Passive Point respeccing cheaper especially at higher levels. It had a relatively aggressive curve getting more expensive with character level, we have flattened that curve so it doesn’t exponentially grow as much. This should generally result in approximately 40-50% less gold cost for respeccing between the start and middle of endgame progression. Trial of the Sekhemas Players were finding Trial of the Sekhemas particularly frustrating in close range so we’ve reworked how Honour Damage scales when in close range, as well as fixing an important bug that was causing players to take far too much Honour Damage from Damage over Time. Honour Damage now scales down based on distance to enemies, when in close range you’ll take 35% less Honour Damage, tapering off as you are further away from Monsters. Fixed a bug where Damage over Time was dealing thrice as much damage to Honour as intended, and fixed a bug where Honour Resistance was only applying to two-thirds of that damage. (This was confusing for us too) Skitter Golems no longer use basic attacks and instead now just explode. Serpent Clans burrow and ambush attack now has improved visual telegraphing and cannot be used from as far away. Volcanoes created by Rattlecage’s Fissure Slam now last half the duration. Endgame and Monster Balance Generally the balance in Endgame Maps was more punishing than intended, so we’ve toned down the damage in a number of ways and disabled a certain on-death effect where the telegraphing was not as clear as it should have been. Maps no longer have additional elemental resistance penalties inherently applied at Tier 6 and Tier 11 or higher Maps. It is now consistent across all of the Endgame. Chaos Damage now also scales less aggressively over the Endgame. Critical Strikes from monsters now deal 40% less bonus Damage. Lowered the baseline monster density of Breach Encounters, primarily by reducing the frequency of the “Elite” monsters appearing. Disabled the Volatile Crystals Modifier, we’ll revisit this in the future pending telegraphing improvements. Purple Explosives created by the Volatile Plants Modifier on Rare Monsters now deal significantly less Damage. The Siphons Flask Charges Modifier on Monsters now drains ten-times less Flask Charges per second. Thanks for your support! 0.1.0d Patch NotesDec 11, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsGeneral Improvements and Changes Passive Block chance now applies to blockable hits from all directions, as opposed to just hits from in front. Player size is now set to Zero units while dodge rolling instead of One unit. Some smaller monsters can now be pushed while dodge rolling. This includes monsters such as the Adorned Beetles in Keth. Inscribed Ultimatums and Djinn Baryas now display whether you will obtain Ascendancy Skill Points upon completing the Trial of Chaos or Trial of the Sekhemas respectively. Removed World Map Pins for encounters that were not from specific locations in Areas. ie. From Monster drops. Improved attack in place behaviour. Rain of Arrows and Firestorm now have a hit-rate limit to prevent cases of them absolutely obliterating very large bosses. This will have little to no impact outside of boss fights with very large hitboxes. Leech has been buffed. Boneshatter now more reliably hits your target. The duration of Armour Break has been increased to 12 seconds (previously 6). To improve performance, Incinerate now creates circular areas of ignited ground instead of segments. Added CTRL+Click shortcut to open the Currency Exchange at the appropriate NPCs. Added a button to travel to the Trial of Chaos on the world map. Added art for Close Combat Support. Added 2D art for the Defiance of Destiny Unique Amulet. Added "Ascendancy Skill Points" as a keyword, which details how sets of Ascendancy Points are obtained. Added search functionality for Gemcutting and vendor inventories when using a controller. Keybinds for searching Stash on a controller have also been updated. Added Gemcutting restrictions option for Gamepad. Added suggested Supports for Time of Need. Updated the suggested Supports for Bonestorm. Added an option for opening the Trade website to the main menu for consoles. Runes now sell to vendors for more Gold. Updated art for Reserved Life and Mana. Updated the description on Runes to clarify that once socketed they cannot be replaced. Auras and Curses that affect ally or enemy resistances now display values in the Skill popout panel. We’ll be answering some of them in this news post. The FAQ will be updated with more answers up until the launch day. When does Early Access start on all platforms? Path of Exile 2 will launch in Early Access at 11am December 6th PST in your local time on all supported platforms, including a standalone PC client, Steam and Epic Games Store clients as well as Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately Path of Exile 2 will not be available on MacOS at the start of Early Access, but we’re keen to add support for this platform as soon as possible. How to join Early Access? Purchasing one of new Early Access Supporter Packs with a key grants you access. As we have also announced earlier, if you've purchased a top-tier supporter pack in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform, you'll automatically have access to Path of Exile 2. In this case you'll receive an email (if we have one for you) and PM on the website that lets you know that your account has had access granted. We will begin inviting players in the next two weeks. Please note that the threshold is the same for all countries and does not take regional prices into account. How will I know if my lifetime purchases meet the threshold? You can check your past purchases by visiting Your Account on the website and selecting, "Account transactions." Your valid purchases will include any purchase that was made with dollars instead of points. Points keys that were redeemed on your account will not contribute to this total. A lot of people have been emailing customer support to ask if they meet the threshold. We'd prefer if you could wait until the Early Access begins and see if you're immediately invited, and then contact support if you didn't get an invite but you believe your lifetime support exceeds $480 USD. If I merged my sub-accounts, will my lifetime purchases from different platforms be counted towards the threshold? No, the threshold is based on purchases made on one platform. Can I purchase new Supporter Packs on Consoles? You can buy Early Access Supporter Packs on Xbox now. You can claim all microtransactions in Path of Exile 1 and you will also get access to downloading Path of Exile 2. Please note that you will not be able to launch and play that client until the game releases in Early Access on December 6th. The Twilight Order Foil Reliquary Submission is only available for purchase in the in-game store after you have purchased the Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack. Supporter Packs for Sony realms (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) will become available on December 6th PST when Path of Exile 2 launches in Early Access. How to redeem a key?
