She'll be available to conjure by using slabs at new Summoning Altars. Be prepared for a tough fight, especially if you opt for the "extreme" version of the boss. Bellanoir can't be captured, but she does drop a Pal Egg on defeat. This is a chunky update, with a bunch of new items and tweaks to the building system, Pal falling damage, shop prices, player drops on multiplayer servers, and the user interface - for example, you'll now see how many of a Pal you own when you aim a Palsphere at one. You can also now cancel a Pal's break simply by picking them up and throwing them at the worksite - truly, a scene from Dickens. Palworld is, to be blunt, one of the most unoriginal games ever made. We all know this! There's nothing unique about it, right down to some of its Pal's designs. So, it shouldn't really be a surprise that ahead of April Fool's Day Pocketpair has released a trailer showing off a fake Palworld dating sim where you can literally date some of the game's Pals. At first glance it really looks like an actual game, with all of the character art and polished-looking AI, but it is just a joke, and an overdone one at that. Maybe if you're 14 and you've never seen a dating sim outside of Doki Doki Literature Club or Hatoful Boyfriend you'll find it funny, but I don't exactly hold teenagers as the pinnacle of taste makers. What is real is that there's an update on the way, but it isn't clear if any jokes about an entire genre of games that don't actually revolve around just dating for you to be exasperated at will be in said update or not. There's actually no indication at all as to what this update might include, or when it will arrive other than "soon" so you'll just have to wait for that one. But reaching over 1 million players in its first couple days on Steam is something even the developers of Palworld (Pocketpair) weren’t expecting when they released the new game in early access earlier this week and their servers started melting.
Debuting with half a million players on Friday, Palworld’s player count on Steam keeps going up – hitting a new record-breaking peak of 1,001,597 players towards the end of Saturday.
Palworld is now one of only seven games that have seen over 1 million concurrent players on Steam – the others include: PUBG (3.2 mil), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (1.8 mil), Counter-Strike 2 (1.4 mil), Lost Ark (1.3 mil), Dota 2 (1.2 mil), and Cyberpunk 2077 (1 mil).
What’s even more impressive about Palworld’s early access debut for $26.99 on Steam is that the game also launched for free on Xbox Game Pass and that still didn’t stop the new IP from smashing records and jumping to the top of Steam.
