Also I m COO of The NoSleep Podcast, and since we ve been working on Halloween content since around July, I think I deserve a break by the time it hits October s end. So if, like me, you re after some video game recommendations in order to spend Halloween night alone, or even something to play after the festivities, then look no further. Over the past few weeks we've been working hard on one of the biggest updates in the game and preparing Palmyra for the final release. And today we are finally ready to show it to you. Here is what we added to the game: Extended ending We expanded the last part of the game by adding an additional ten minutes of gameplay. This new part of the game better explains events that occurred in the orphanage, and allows player to make a more informed decision at the end. This part of the game were voiced by actress and member of the T.O. Multiverse, Polina Moskvina. She took on the role of principal and helped us a lot in conveying the atmosphere of the final scenes. We are really grateful her for that! Changes in the English translation English localization also has been seriously improved due to the help of Dmitry Goncharov, one of our players. Thanks to his work on proofreading our texts, the overall quality of the English translation has increased. Changes in Chinese translation We took into account your comments about the Chinese translation and decided to completely rework it. To do this, we contacted another translator who manage to translate Palmyra into Chinese from scratch, which allowed us to get rid of many mistakes and inaccuracies. If you find any errors related to this translation, please send us message at [email protected]. Sounds and music We worked hard on improving the overall sound quality of the game and now almost every room in the building has its sounds changed: • A huge number of audio files have been changed to sound more organically: tense moments now have a louder sounds and background sounds became quieter. We want to have a little talk about our plans. Over the past few days, we have been focusing on improving sound quality throughout the game. Right now we don't want to upload sound updates until work on them is fully completed, because the difference in volume of new and old sounds can negatively affect player immersion. This does not mean that the next patch will be dedicated only to this issue. We also currently working on fixing bugs and adding new content to the game, so the next update will contain not only changed sounds, but also a number of other improvements. That's all for today. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience!Patch from 07/31/2019Aug 1, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsIn this short update, we are continuing to gradually add new sounds to the game environment. This week, he explores the creepy corridors of a post-Soviet orphanage in Palmyra Orphanage. Developer: Steppe Hare Studio Publisher: Steppe Hare Studio Release: Out now (early access) On: Windows From: Steam For: 4.79 Science. What a concept. It s put men on the moon, chopped up an atom good and proper, briefly eradicated measles and edited the very building blocks of the human genome. But one field of science still eludes even our cleverest minds. What, exactly, is a scare? Well, as far as the boffins can ascertain using the best microscopes available, a scare is a kind of horrible juice (or enzyme ) that your panicking liver dumps into your bloodstream whenever you see something frightening, like a ghost or the news. This craven liquid triggers what is known in psychology as a fight or flight response, presenting your fear-charged body with two simple options. You can either try to wrestle with the ghost, hoping that it s just corporeal enough that you can trap it in a figure-four leglock until it taps out. Or you can run away from it, and hope that the ghost is spiritually tethered to the haunted mansion you were staying in as per the instructions of your late great uncle s convoluted will.
