My Pet Rock Release / Changelog 1/23/2017Jan 23, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsHello everyone, After months of working towards my first full fledged video game, I am pleased to announce that My Pet Rock has finally reached a state where it is ready for release. Along with the release, here are a few changes and improvements that have been added since the last round of updates: Ally kills no longer provide the player life steal / drone spawns Information for certain shop items now save The Final boss has been added A new gui for the harvester has been added The lawyer can now be unlocked Added more player upgrades in the shop Added graphics and full functionality to the ally upgrade tree Fixed bug where buying ally upgrade did not require the previous upgrade The experience bar now correctly shows progress Added text to show controls and instructions for the metal exchange Getting three bosses on the slot machine no longer crashes the game Boulder bandages cannot be purchased when the planet is at maximum health Improved selling system, selling no longer destroys all boss items Fixed sound issues with the decoy planet Added sounds for the laser and flamethrower Certain start messages no longer appear when playing a save game An indicator has been added when the player is low health Certain Enemy types now appear at later waves The Space Recruiter boss now shoots / scales in difficulty during later waves Fixed the Famer's Active and replaced graphics V-sync no longer freezes the game Aimbotter boss modifier now works for Trigger-Happy and Space Recruiter bosses Fixed a bug where a save game could be continued despite losing Upcoming Additions / changes Selecting drones to upgrade via shop - In case of overlapping allies where certain ones cannot be selected to upgrade Survival Mode - A challenge modifier which increases difficulty, and emphasizes planet and resource management Additional thanks go out to all of my close friends and those who helped beta test the game and really helped bring the gameplay to what it is today. Rest Assured this game will be receiving many more improvements, changes, and additions. I Pride myself on my ability to take criticism and apply it effectively to improve on what i have made, so please feel free to drop any concerns in the discussions of this game. Many Thanks, Carl GamesMy Pet Rock Update / Changes 1.5.2017Jan 5, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsHi everyone, another list of changes and improvements have been added Hostile Enemies have a reduced fire rate Hostile Enemies can also fire missiles now Late-Wave enemies have a chance of spawning with a shield The Trigger-Happy Boss can now be defeated with the Janitor Bosses now have a chance of being legendary Player stats regenerate faster between waves Black holes no longer create invincible enemies Added an active skill for the Lawyer Farms and Wells have been reworked - Instead of earning resources at the end of each wave, resources are now time based The laser upgrade now scales to the player's damage A few followers have been added The player HUD no longer shakes Quests no longer reset on a load game Allies now use a skill tree - Rather than global stat upgrades, each ally can have seperate upgrade paths (Offense , Defense , Support) Settings for sound / music volume have been added New graphics have been added for the allies What's still to come? Currently, end game elements are being finished, as well as adding a survival mode - Higher difficulty, certain prerequisites (Allies require a citizen / Farms require workers to operate) and other challenges. Changed option sliders for screenshake/volume to buttons Added basic resolution settings These changes are all leading up to My Pet Rock's Official release.
