Metin2’s Leaving Steam!May 18, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsDear Community, On 18th August 2022, Metin2 is moving from Steam to the Gameforge Client. As a result, it will no longer be possible for new players to register via Steam from 18th May 2022, and the game will only be available via the Gameforge Client in future. Don’t worry, you won’t lose out from this change. All of your progress remains safe, along with everything you’ve purchased and played for. Switching to the Gameforge Client is also straightforward. Any outstanding DLC will be switched during the migration, so you won’t lose any content you purchased. Payment will also be deactivated, so it will no longer be possible to purchase Dragon Coins via Steam. You can only top up again once your account has been moved to the Gameforge Client. Any Dragon Coins you already own can however still be spent. From 18th August 2022, it will no longer be possible to play the game via Steam. We highly recommend you migrate your account by then. Permanently banned accounts cannot be migrated. Accounts which have only recently been banned can be migrated, but this will not affect the duration of the ban. Increase your versatility in battle with the newly-introduced second equipment page, stash items using the improved belt system and look forward to divine new upgrade items as well as maritime Easter costumes and mounts. Change Your Equipment! This update allows you to **unlock a second equipment page** and switch quickly and easily between two loadouts! No longer will you have to change each piece of equipment individually when you want to don a different set. Instead you can enjoy a super-speedy **equipment change at the touch of a button**. For example, you can clad yourself in PvP equipment on one page and PvE equipment on the other, so you’re perfectly prepared for anything! How It Works To unlock the second equipment page you’ll need the new Extra Equipment Page item. You can get this from a quest that will be automatically activated as soon as you reach level 120. Defeat the Ahtrin Grand Master in the Gnoll Caves and receive the new item as your reward. Use the item and the second equipment page will appear. You can kit this out just as you did the first one. Alternatively, just buy the Extra Equipment Page item in the shop to activate the second page and surprise your opponent with a lightning-fast change of gear! As soon as you’ve activated the additional equipment page, the associated Change Equipment Page skill will automatically be unlocked so you can change equipment quickly and easily at any time. You’ll find this skill in your secondary skills. Improved Belt Inventory Go ahead and loosen your belt now that the item restriction on the belt inventory has been lifted! Now you can stash all sorts of items in there. But be warned – although you can now store anything you want in your belt, you still have to bear a few things in mind: * Items are not automatically stored in your belt inventory. If, for example, you receive items from a quest or collect loot, these will always be delivered into your player inventory. When this is full you won’t be able to collect more, even if there is space in your belt inventory. * Items that are necessary to complete a quest will only be recognised for the quest in the player inventory. If they’re stored in your belt inventory, you won’t be able to complete the quest. * Items in your belt inventory can’t be used in the Quick Slot bar. Seal of the Gods With all these fabulous new options for your equipment, how’d you like to give your items an upgrade while you’re at it? Then pick up the Seal of the Gods, available in the shop at certain times – so keep your eyes open! The seal **increases the chance of success when improving items** more than any other item before! The Easter Bunny is wa...Journey to the OtherworldFeb 14, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsDescend into the Otherworld and brave four devilish trials: Face off against the four emissaries of the Otherworld and earn your right to the ultimate confrontation against the Lord of Damnation. Along the way you can earn precious materials for crafting the new Damnation Shield or the Phoenix of Redemption! The event improvements introduced last time are still in force: damage from Asmodeus and the four emissaries is still reduced, you can sell, store and trade event crafting materials, and Death Flames can be obtained from bosses and Metins more often. The Journey to the Otherworld event is available to all players from level 90. It takes part in two phases: Phase 1 Event starts: 15th February 2022 at midnight (CET) Event ends: 22nd February 2022 at 11:00 PM (CET) In the first phase of the event, where the boundaries to the Otherworld are weakening, you can play for items which you will require in the second phase by defeating monsters and gathering Death Flames. These can be exchanged for Asmodeus Keys, Black Letters, Water of Life and Dead Souls. At the end of this phase, the Otherworld Portal becomes available and you can journey through to the other side. Phase 2 Event starts: 23rd February 2022 at midnight (CET) Event ends: 3rd March 2022 at 11:59 PM (CET) In the second phase, you must battle through the Otherworld. Here you will need to call upon the items which you gathered in the first phase. Confront four emissaries for the right to face Asmodeus. In these fights you will already have the chance to loot some great rewards. If you are successful and manage to defeat the mighty Asmodeus, you can enter the divine room of Salvation, where your rewards await you. Enter the Dungeon The Otherworld is a hellish place which you must cross before facing Asmodeus, King of the Otherworld. You can reach the Otherworld by travelling through the portal at Cape Dragon Fire. Passing through the portal requires 3 Black Letters. The Otherworld consists of four rooms. In each room you must then face off against its emissary in combat. Damnation is the place of judgement – here you will face your final opponent, Asmodeus. Use Dead Souls to weaken Asmodeus. You can also gain a significant advantage in combat against him by wearing the Damnation set. The Otherworld Talisman also provides succour against Asmodeus’ dark arts. As ruler of the Otherworld, Asmodeus cannot ever truly be defeated there; indeed he will return from the dead soon after you have defeated him, allowing you to face him again. The more often you manage to defeat him, the greater your reward. Event Items The Black Letter allows you to enter the Otherworld. It can be obtained for 1 Death Flame (80% chance). Water of Life can be used to revive you in the Otherworld. It can be obtained for 5 Death Flames (80% chance). Dead Souls can be used to reduce Asmodeus’ maximum HP. Get ready for the expanded riding system with new horse skills and your own mercs that you can even send on operations while you’re offline! Expanded Riding System This update will make your mount even more useful! Summon a new Mighty War Horse with the Golden Horse Book. Use the horse skill books to have your mount learn powerful skills such as Swift Hooves, Raging Storm, Feather Walk, and Immortal. All that effort deserves a reward – feed your horse and you’ll boost its strength for your next battle together! A New Horse But how do you get your new horse? It’s simple! Once your horse reaches level 31, you’ll gain access to a quest that will let you prove yourself worthy of your new four-hooved companion. To pass the test you’ll have to defeat 100 monsters in the Gnoll Caves in 30 minutes! If you’re successful, you’ll get a Golden Horse Book. Go to the Stable Boy right now and get a new daily quest that will let you earn fodder for your horse. Use the fodder to increase your horse’s level above level 20. Characters above level 75 can use this method to raise their horse’s level up to 30, and characters who have already reached Champion Level can raise their horse’s level up to 40. The handy bonuses your horse provides while mounted will become more potent up to level 30. And that’s not all! From level 31 to level 40 it will even boost your Sung Ma’s Will, and this bonus also increases with the horse’s level. There are also several details to bear in mind when taking care of your new friend. For one thing, this horse only eats Red Ginseng (Premium), special food that can be found in Yohara. If something bad happens to your horse on your adventures, you’ll need Revigrass to revive it. You can find that on monsters in the Gnoll Caves. New Horse Skills Your new horse isn’t just good for getting from A to B! It’s also got powerful horse skills that will give you fantastic bonuses while you ride. Once your horse reaches level 21, you can have it learn 1 of the 18 new skills and be of even more use to you. The horse skill books needed to learn horse skills are found on bosses in Northwind Shelter, on your merc operations, and in many other places. You can improve these new horse skills up to level 20. If you decide you don’t like a skill you’ve chosen for your horse, you can easily have your horse unlearn it. If your horse is at or below level 30, your horse can use 1 horse skill at a time, but from level 31 onwards it can use 2 at a time. The Merc System With the new Merc Licence, you can recruit mercs to provide services for you. Send them off to do missions for you while you’re offline! If your mercs are successful, they’ll bring back rewards from their operations. The new system is simple. Talk to the Yohara Commander once you’ve reached Champion Level. He will give you a quest to complete before you can use the new merc system. However, the temporary servers won’t only be of interest to Metin2 veterans, because completely new players will also have no problem finding their bearings – level up quickly, rake in rewards and use this opportunity to quickly become a Metin2 pro. Dive into the 2nd Challenge, defeat a dungeon boss in Yohara and be able to transfer your best hero, Gaya, the gear you’re wearing, the 1st inventory page, costume items and any equipped alchemy to a normal server. However to secure your character transfer, you must have completed at least 60 quests and reached level 90. For the character transfer, you can only select servers in your region – excluded are the servers Amber, Lyncirium, Kehribar, Türkiye and Marmara. The Quest Challenge Complete 60 quests for the 1st Challenge. Possibilities include the main quests, side quests and biologist quests. Excluded are the starting areas for lycans and the daily Yohara quests. Together 25 King Cards make up a King Deck, with which you can play a game of Catch the King. The Card Packs in the item shop also contain lots of King Cards. Aim of the Game Reveal as many cards as possible and collect points. Catch the king in one go on the very last move to pick up 100 points at once. If you earn at least 10 points, you can redeem a prize at the end of the game. You can wager up to 5 King Decks each time you play, earning the same number of chests in reward. Please note: The number of cards you play with is fixed; it is not influenced by the number of decks you wager. Once the game has started, you cannot reclaim the King Decks you have wagered. How to Play You always start with the lowest card. An arrow indicates which card can be selected. By clicking on the card it will appear in the ‘My Card’ slot. In subsequent turns, cards of the same value will be moved automatically. Turn over any face-down card on the game board and compare it to your own. With this scroll you can summon a special Metin stone which you must destroy to face an especially difficult opponent. Once you have defeated the boss, grab their treasure and, with a little luck, another Metin stone will appear which can call an even stronger enemy to the scene. If you also defeat this one, you’ll find out how virulent Metin Fever can be: there is a chance of progressively more devastating opponents coming your way, and it will test all your skills to defeat them. In the past, people have often had trouble reaching the Blue Dragon. Here at Gameforge, we’ve now come up with a solution – we’re making it an instance where this will no longer be a problem. It used to be that you could only enter the Dragon’s Temple as a group. Now each group enters their own instance to get to the Dragon’s Temple – and up to 6x per day. You can look forward to some improvements to Nemere’s Watchtower, Devil’s Catacomb and the Red Dragon Fortress. This will make your forays here worth it again. The new continent Yohara should also be more fun – now you can play new daily quests and find treasure chests here and there which will give you lots of items. We also did some pest control and eliminated a lot of bugs on our long hit list, so they won’t be bothering you any more in future. The Metin2 TeamWin Valuable Chests in the Okey Event!Aug 9, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsFrom 10/8/2021 (midnight CEST) to 2/9/2021 (11:59 PM CEST) you have the chance to play our minigame based off the Turkish game *Okey*. Before you can start, you have to put together a card set. Then, with some luck and smart moves, you can earn points to receive valuable prizes. But that’s not all! Because we have a Tombola with fantastic prizes, scary shop offers and a whole lot more waiting for you. The Okey Game Defeat monsters to receive cards. Once you’ve collected and stacked 24 okey cards, you automatically receive an Okey Card Set and can start playing. Before you start a game, make sure you have a set and also 30,000 Yang. The aim of the game is to create a combination of sets and runs: A set consists of cards of the same value (e.g. 7, 7, 7). The lower the cards’ values, the fewer points you receive for it. A run consists of at least three cards with consecutive numbers (e.g. 6, 7, 8). The lower the cards’ values, the fewer points you receive for it. Runs of the same colour earn you more points than runs of several colours. Prizes After finishing a game, your prizes are delivered directly to your inventory. The chests contain high-quality and useful items for your hero – for example: the Ring of Deadly Power, Cor Draconis (Mystical) and many more! Highscore You want to be known as a winner? Then try to beat the highscore! This gives you the chance to win more chests. You can check the highscore at the Okey Table. The prizes for achieving the highscore can then be collected after the end of the event: For 1st place you receive 10x Golden Okey Chest. For 2nd place you receive 5x Golden Okey Chest. For 3rd place you receive 3x Golden Okey Chest. 4th to 10th place receive 1x Golden Okey Chest. Game Instructions 1. Left-click on the stack of cards to uncover the first 5 cards. 2. Earn points by selecting 3 cards. (Please note: Left-click = select card, right-click = permanently discard card) 3. The more points you have earned by the end of the game, the bigger your prize.
