Update Update to the digital art book to include a massive new section on the Art of Ghost Bear: Flash Storm (Present for owners of the Digital Collectors Edition or the DCE upgrade) Fixes Fixed lighting issues on a series of maps Fixes to localization/text Fixes to environment art on DLC1 missions Fixes to Mech Animations Nova and Arctic Cheetah First Person Animations DLC1 Mech Huntsman Leg Animations PlayStation 5 Feature PlayGo implemented (PS5 only) We have more optimizations and improvements in the pipeline as well as the Modding Tools that are currently being tested internally and documented for upcoming release. We’re actively watching and listening for your feedback on MechWarrior 5: Clans – Ghost Bear: Flash Storm. Our goal is to address any issues as quickly as possible—so keep letting us know what you’re seeing! Hotfix 1 went out last week to resolve a crash issue, and now we’re rolling out Hotfix 2 with more improvements to enhance your experience. Hotfix 2 Patch Notes General Fixes: Fixed an issue where Elementals would sometimes become non-responsive. Fixed a progression blocker in Mission 1 if the first jammer was destroyed before the combat scenario started. PC Only: Fixed an issue when enabling DLSS, XeSS or FSR a value was being set incorrectly causing incorrect results. Fixed an issue where XeSS settings would reset after disabling it and changing DLSS or FSR settings. This patch is now live across all platforms. Thanks again for your continued support and feedback. We’ll keep you posted as more fixes roll out! — The MechWarrior 5: Clans Team Looking Ahead We’re also working on a future patch for MW5: Clans and Ghost Bear, which will include: Investigating adding Elemental controls to the Battlegrid. Thanks for taking the time to share — we’re listening and acting fast. A few major bugs have stood out, so we’re rolling out a two-stage hotfix to address them. HOTFIX 1 – ETA: Tonight / Early Tomorrow (May 9) FIXED – FSR Crash We’ve resolved a crash issue related to FSR and global illumination. The fix has been tested and confirmed, and we're planning to deploy the patch for Steam players tonight. Until then a temporary workaround is available in your graphics options by setting Global illumination to medium HOTFIX 2 – ETA: Mid Next Week (May 14) IMPROVEMENT – Elementals Getting Stuck We’ve identified and addressed an issue where Elementals could become unresponsive or stuck during missions. On May 8th we’ll be delivering the second free update to MechWarrior 5: Clans featuring: Mechlab Usability Overhaul The flow and UI has been revised to make Omnipod swaps and unlocks much more intuitive. Players can clearly see which Omnipod sets are available and can mix and match Omnipod components to create all manner of custom builds. It’s also much easier to save out custom presets and restore them in a few clicks. A context menu has been added that allows faster direct access to all areas of the mech lab such as Camo Customization, Weapon Groups, or Mech Details. Players can now see more details such as stat changes for engine heatsinks. Progression and Balance pass We’ve rebalanced many of the weapons to make all the different builds more appealing and viable. We have also adjusted Smoke Jaguar progression to incorporate some of the omnipod and mech unlocks from Trials of War to better positions in the progression. BattleGrid Improvements Battlegrid operates in pause mode in Single Player mode. This allows players breathing time to administer more complex queued orders and makes issuing commands much easier. Pause mode can be toggled to real time with a button press. More Gamepad Options We’ve updated the control options for gamepad with a Mercenaries-like control scheme that no longer requires the use of a weapon toggle. It will appear in Gamepad options as ALT-Config 3. We’ve also added a bunch more re-bindable buttons to the CUSTOM layout so you can remap things like MASC to a face button. Trials of War is now fully integrated Trial of War is no longer treated as a free DLC and is fully integrated into the game for all players to enjoy. Dominion Mode added to Arena. Get the highest score before time expires by capturing and holding the active capture point. With satisfying combat and some decent storytelling in its campaign, it's got plenty going for it. It's about to get even better, too, with two essential game modes, a new difficulty setting, and mech omnipods all arriving today - however, while some of it exists in a free update, the majority of the good stuff is locked behind a premium DLC called Trials of War.
