Here's the video-link to one of K3W3L's YouTube videos, and the text from the video, 19 minutes with playing. We always appreciate constructive criticism, and of course, we always like it when people enjoy our game! :) --- Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSzvBPf-M_0 Text from the video-info: --- I initially streamed this on Twitch, but due to my OBS settings this ended up REALLY pixellated. I was incredibly unhappy and ashamed with this, so here's a 'proper' video. There's still some slight pixellation, but the quality is much better. #logdriverunner is honestly not as bad as some people might make it out to be. It's the debut title from Proud Camel Games, a Norwegian company, and basically is an endless runner where you run along the log flume. Still, I must admit that I thought it should have been priced cheaper considering what it is. It appears like you're running along the exact same level every single time you play. Which makes me wonder - is there ever a proper end? Would it have been worth the higher price if they managed to implement procedural level generation? I'd definitely feel yes. ADDENDUM: it's been clarified that after 600 meters the obstacles are procedurally generated. Unfortunately, I think the menus and UI are REALLY lacking and look really simplistic/unprofessional. They really need to work on making them, as well as the store page images, more professional, or it would just drive away potential customers. I like the music though, it's quite relaxing. Maybe too relaxing even. Watch K3W3L run 15 282 meters!Sep 10, 2016 - Community AnnouncementsWatch K3W3L run 15 282 meters! Most modern graphics cards will run this game in the default setting and higher, without lagging, however, if you find that the game lags, your graphics card is not fast enough for the default graphics settings. The default graphics settings is '4', if the game lags we recommend using a lower graphics setting. You can get into the graphics menu, from Options, and More. :) If the game lags, change the graphics settingsSep 9, 2016 - Community AnnouncementsHi, folks! The local log flume in Notodden, which is now on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, inspired the visual and the idea behind the game, and has thus already attracted a lot of attention in Notodden. The press release took place on the Live Scene in Notodden’s culture house, The Book & Blueshouse. Besides the game developers Siri Camilla Torset and Njal Frode Lie, the following guests attended: The Mayor of Notodden Gry Fuglestveit Blochlinger, Chair of the Standing Committee for Culture Terje Malm, Chair of the Standing Committee for Economic Development and the Environment Aslaug Sem-Jacobsen, and the Director of The Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum Runar Lia. - It is not often that there is a world-wide release in our city, and it is obvious that the game developers have based their game on something that they have a relationship to, said the Mayor Gry Fuglestveit Blochlinger. http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/25358210/95d64b5b5213a676e2aff471163d465befaec542.jpg Photo: Mayor of Notodden Gry Fuglestveit Blochlinger gives flowers to the game developers Siri Camilla Torset and Njal Frode Lie from the indie game company ProudCamelGames (Photo: Rita Engedalen) http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/25358210/4808f8e896349ee334d5bb711cb41999b777e151.jpg Photo: From the press release. Game developer Siri Camilla Torset explained: “The final version of the game as we now see it is a simplified version of the log flume. Initially we were working with a photorealistic 3D model, but as our work progressed, we realised that we needed to make it simpler to make it function better. http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/25358210/9aa0c74ab1bb80f80e2b4e8f1b9cf6a8c0bae831.jpg Everybody who has grown up in Notodden has somehow a relationship to the log flume. "- We are thrilled about the log flume being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage, and the response to our game is overwhelming.” Right now, there is an ongoing rescue operation, where a part of the flume, which has been neglected for years, is being restored. I was so happy to hear about the game, and hopefully the publicity around the game and our log flume will contribute to that we in time will be able to walk and run in it once again, said Chair of the Standing Committee for Culture Terje Malm.
