It pre-dates many modern and current MMORPG games. The game retains many of its classic features with some modernization from the Infinite Odyssey update. Some may remember the game fondly as hardcore and it continues to remain true. Click-to-Move Controls & WASD Click-to-Move was the prevailing system in the early era of MMORPGs and some still prefer this method of movement. You can use WASD movement in the game, but it isn’t always the best method and Click-to-Move may still be necessary should you get stuck and not be able to move. It may take some getting used to if you’re not familiar with click-to-move, but with a few player sessions you’ll master it in no time. Combat System With click-to-move controls, the combat system also retains click controls. There is no tab-targeting and you will need to click on an enemy or mob if you wish to attack them! Challenging Leveling Some may remember gaining levels in Lineage II being challenging and it still is. While we do offer a streamlined guide to leveling (the Path to Awakening) to help players find areas where they can level quickly and with ease, you are still able to choose and explore the world of Aden to your liking. Player Killing / Player vs Player It remains true that being killed by another player in game may result in your character’s equipment dropping or being destroyed. To protect lower level players, Blessing of Protection can be acquired from an NPC that prohibits level 39 players and below from being attacked by chaotic players that are level 10+ higher. As you kill other players in game, especially lower level players or non-Chaotic players, your reputation decreases, your kill count increases, making you “chaotic” and susceptible to dropping items upon being killed yourself.
