We've already seen streamers who tried to play our game and we noticed one major issue: the current tutorial system is not effective and lacking. We arrived to this conclusion since most people who streamed our game did not seem to apply the mechanics that has been shown in the beginning. This does not mean the players are forgetful; this means that the current explanation of mechanics does not attract the player's attention. We also noticed that some core mechanics are not explained explicitly (players need to explore to find them out). So, in this update, we tried to reworked the tutorial for Legend of Krannia. The tutorials are now more interactive than the previous! We also tried to even out the tutorial to prevent cognitive overload. With this update, we hope that players have more fun with experimenting with the different game mechanics of the game. We noticed that controller support is one of the most asked and requested feature for our game. Although we wanted to add controller support for a long time, we needed to redesign our current UI to support keyboard and gamepad navigation (hence the update last week). We have also added control hints at the bottom part of the screen. With this update, we feel that players will have more fun controlling Vahn and trying other builds! In our previous updates of the game, we increased Vahn's survivability by providing potions and adjusting several skills to prevent Vahn from being hit indefinitely. Although, the chance of being hit to death is now low, there are certain situations where this can still happen, especially when fighting a considerable number of enemies. We feel that there should be an option for the player to escape these situations. Thus, we implemented reaction skills. Vahn can now use reaction skills. Like active skills, reactive skill can be equipped by opening the album and dragging the corresponding skill in the combat skill area marked as "R". Vahn also now has a soul gauge and can be monitored in the upper left corner of the screen, just below the energy gauge. Reaction skills can be used when Vahn is hit with a full soul gauge. If Vahn is hit with a full soul gauge, Vahn may enter a reaction state for a limited time. In the reaction state, time slows down and active skill is changed based on the reaction skills equipped. Also in the reaction state, Vahn may opt to use his reaction skill or perform other actions like block or dash. If a reaction skill is used, full soul gauge will be consumed and only a quarter will be used if other actions were done. Performing an action immediately exits the reaction state. Reaction skills varies from pushing enemies to massively increasing your dodge for a short amount of time. Feel free to experiment with your reaction skills. With this update, players will now have enough utilities to battle large horde of enemies and enough survivability to battle end game bosses! Healing for everyo.., I mean healing for Vahn! LOL This update features health and energy recovery for Vahn. In the previous version of the game, when Vahn gets damaged, there's no other way to recover health aside from standing still. This may get boring and/or infuriating really fast (specially at higher levels since you have significantly higher health). This also holds true when you run out of energy and you're mobbed by enemies. Chances of survival are slim to none since you cannot block or dash when you don't have energy. In this version, we provided a couple of options to recover health and energy. Vahn can now use tents and campfires across Logra. Using a tent or a campfire fully recovers Vahn's health and energy, along with restocking his potions. A tent card is required to use in a tent or a campfire to avail the perks mentioned. To acquire these tent cards, you can talk to guild members marked with a "T" or from Jack outside of Green Town. Only a maximum of four (4) tent cards can be carried at a time. As for the potions, Vahn can regenerate both health and energy by pressing "Q" and "R" respectively. Note that the regeneration will happen overtime (not instantaneous). If no potions are left, you can visit any item shop or use a tent or a campfire to refill the said potions. Five (5) stacks of each potion is the limit as of the moment. Finally, killing enemies now have a chance to drop health and/or enery orbs which recovers a percentage of Vahn's health or energy. With this update, players will have less idle time for recovery, will have more options for survival, and more time to whack every single enemy in sight! We hope that this update increases the player's exploration time while maintaining the difficulty of the game.
