Delete GraphicsOptions.xmlMay 3, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsWith the patch yesterday we accidentally pushed the GraphicsOptions.xml file we used for testing as default setting. This caused the UI to be scaled incorrectly for people who hadn't played the game before. We quickly resolved this in a hotfix, but for anyone who bought and installed the game between the patch and the hotfix, the problem persists. If you are suffering from this problem, the easiest way to resolve this is by deleting the GraphicsOptions.xml file. This file can be found in: ...\Documents\Landinar\GraphicsOptions.xml Alternatively, you can edit the settings file and change: 0.1 to 1 We apologise for the inconvenienceUpdate 1.0.0.1 - Controls issue fixed!May 2, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsIn this small update we fixed the major issue of controls locking when exiting a hail dialogue with spacebar. We also improved some other issues and added some icons on the map. Thanks for your bug reports and patience while we fix these issues. Controls locking issueMay 2, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsIt appears a major issue regarding controls locking up has popped up in the 1.0 version. We have identified the problem occurring when pressing the spacebar to power up your weapons during a hail-dialogue. We're sorry for the inconvenience and it's something that really should've been caught in QA before launch. We screwed up. We are currently working on a hotfix and expect to have this out in the next few hours. Thanks for your patience and understanding.Release 1.0 - Goodbye Early Access!May 1, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsAfter 4 years of development, and nearly 8 months of Early Access, we're very proud to announce Landinar: Into the Void has launched out of Early Access! https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32666123/09c29de26045cf4b7f10f90949f0b118f7676c95.gif We want to once again thank all our early supporters who helped us trumendously by reporting bugs, suggesting changes and generally being nice. It’s been an incredible 8 months since we took the plunge into Early Access and we’re super grateful for all the feedback and support we have received. During the Early Access period we’ve consistently released updates adding new features, more content and lots of fixes, all based on feedback from you, the community. Since the start of 2019 we released more and more parts of the story campaign in a closed beta, to allow everyone to enjoy the full campaign when it was done without annoying bugs or spoilers. Today, the story campaign is complete and 99.99%-bug-free™. We're pretty sure you guys will find new and interesting ways to break the game. We're looking to fix all of those as quickly and as best as we can over the next week. The full patch notes for the update can be found here. In even more exciting news: The release of the story campaign also marks the end of the Early Access period for Landinar. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32666123/8aa0c4bac78e0329f894619bff7aa208d658fecb.gif We are very proud to announce that Landinar: Into the Void will be leaving Early Access on May 1st! If you've been holding off for the full release before you fork over your hard earned money, now is the time to get Landinar at the reduced price! We will increase the price of Landinar to €/$19.99 on May 1st. Launching out of Early Access, however, does not mean the end of development! There are still tons of extra features, content and ideas we’d like to realize. You can still help us with that by joining our lovely community on our Discord server. We want to once again thank our all our community, early supporters and beta testers. We couldn’t have done it without you. We hope to see you in Landinar space soon. PSA, concerning the sudden price raise: It looks like something went wrong on Valve's end. We requested a price change at Valve as per documentation, with the intent that it would increase on May 1st. But apparently and without warning, it got increased overnight... :/ We are terribly sorry for this. We've contacted Valve to try to have this reversed. We will try to keep you posted. PSA2, concerning the sudden price raise: After a response from Valve we have managed to get the price back down to the EA price of €/$ 15,99. Again, we are very sorry for this inconvenience. To compensate, we will keep the EA price until Friday May 3rd, even after the full release on May 1st. Patch notes Beta 9.9.1Apr 24, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsYes, version 9.9.1 is finally here! In case you’ve missed our announcement, our Propulsion Update will launch on November 20th. Check out this devblog for more detailed information! https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32666123/70610ec91826eb0afaa6c59458bbabb014423a49.png Optional Control Changes The basic control scheme of the game has not changed, but we have added a bunch of optional control features and mechanics that can be toggled on and off, depending on your preference and play style! https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32666123/9274804a4b068094b4ebd987094ac965d8673fab.jpg From left to right: Autopilot, Cruise mode, Inertia dampeners, Throttle toggle, Mouse aim, Mouse look Autopilot: Automatically engages cruise mode and flies your ship to the set waypoint along the fastest route Cruise mode: As it is currently in the game; a way to quickly travel from A to B outside transport lanes Inertia dampeners: When enabled, your ship will automatically attempt to come to a stop and stop any sideways velocity. When disabled, your ship will continue heading in the direction of thrust allowing you to freely spin around and attempt cool tricks! Throttle toggle: Toggles main/forward engines to full throttle Mouse aim: The ship attempts to face in the direction of your mouse, useful for precision shots and/or a more relaxed flying experience Mouse look: The camera pans to follow your mouse around, allowing you to look further away Along with these optional control systems, we’ve added the ability to manually thrust sideways, allowing you to make fine adjustments, evade projectiles and obstacles, and make docking much easier. New parts Of course, you’re going to need some new parts to benefit from all these new mechanics! Gyroscopes We’ve added gyros to help your ship rotate. This is especially useful on larger ships (frigates and up) that have a lot of mass. They come in two sizes: a small version that needs to be placed in a wall corner, and a large one that takes two wall tiles and a regular tile with a passage through it. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32666123/4e454c123c936d889e76c209c2863ffe5a99a306.png Boosters Boosters are a supplement to your main engines. They come in three types: Wing Boosters Wing boosters are small engines mounted on wings on the side of your ship. They provide your ship with some additional low-end power, allowing ships (especially larger ones fitted with ion engines) to accelerate faster. On smaller ships, these boosters may be used instead of main engines, though it should be noted that they don’t provide any rotational, sideways or braking thrust. Brake Booster Brake boosters are mounted in the same way as wing boosters, except backwards. They help your ship slow down and reverse. Again, this is mostly useful for larger ships where your main engines may not...Announcing: Propulsion UpdateNov 5, 2018 - Community Announcementshttps://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32666123/c2d7b883a69added759eb2afc20c2403874f5b32.png Since our Early Access release in September we have been listening to a ton of player feedback on Landinar: Into the Void. After some deliberation we knew where to head next for our first major update: a complete overhaul of the flight model. In the update you can switch off your inertia dampeners and continue to drift at whatever velocity you have while making adjustment with the new thrusters. Build gyroscopes and turn your ship around with the new mouse targeting mode to shoot enemies while going sideways, and blast away with the new plasma engine boost! Here's a sneak peek of some fancy manoeuvres you can pull off! Along with the new flight mechanics you can expect a set of new avionics parts, a new weapon and a bunch of new missions, enemies and other content. In the coming weeks we’ll be showing more details on the update before launching on November 20th. Edit: I'm leaving the typo about the typos! >_ New build in Beta branch - stable version delayedOct 19, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsBuild .80 has been uploaded to the Beta branch (so you can try it out!), but the included changes/fixes also introduced some other issues, so we don't feel it's stable enough to release yet. We were going to fix these problems this week, but due to illness and some technical issues we sadly don't have a stable build ready for you today! :( We hope to be able to sort this stuff out quickly, and have a new build ready on Monday!Unknown Pleasures: Species of EightOct 12, 2018 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunIt’s another transitional time, view-chums, when the students are settling, the returning TV dramas are nervously eyeing up various sharks, and I must decide which of my first ever batch of plants must be sacrificed to the ice gods. Will it be Younas, the defiant mortar tomato? Surely it couldn’t be Wilfred, producer of the Great Unexpected October Chilli? Oh, the terrible burden of choice! Fortunately, the demands of the column have prepared me, and in fact this time we’re having not five, not ten, but eight of the best overlooked games on Steam. Nobody tells Unknown Pleasures what to do. Except Graham. And Alice. And sometimes Brendy. And the magistrate that one time. Making a noble sacrifice this week: Genetic meddling, smooth transitions, and Wooian manshoots. (more…) Update 0.1.6.79Oct 12, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsWe have another round of improvements, fixes and some new additions!
