You may have seen Koral got updated. This update brings stability to the game build, adds ultra wide screen support and fixes some minor bugs, including a bugged Steam Achievement. Here you can find the complete changelog: - Fixed Out of Bounds bug in the first section of the cave. - Fixed Out of Bounds bug in the musical part of "Deeps" - Fixed achievement bug in "Descent" - Added ultra wide screen support via commands. (see how here) - Fixed some floating corals in "Garden" - Added more happiness and colors to some reefs :D On the other hand, today was a good day: Corals are evolving in some areas of the world to be stronger against climate change, hot temperatures and extreme climate. Hello. My name is Carlos Coronado. I am the game developer behind Koral. I've been working in Koral for about a year now, and today I can at last share the game with you all! Koral just began available for download just some minutes ago. If you enjoy the ocean, you will enjoy Koral. ps: Make sure to tell to your diver friend about Koral! :D ps2: Make sure to take a look at the Making Of in the sailship now! The Making of Koral - The game about the sea done in the seaMay 16, 2019 - Community Announcementshttps://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/33142166/ec7b6ebb6b9385ccceeff611c75c5092d352919c.jpg Koral has a really special development. It was done in a sailship in a paradise in northen catalonia called Cap de Creus. What better way to make a game about the sea than going to the sea and make it there! We recorded the entire process and made a convenient 19 min Making Of for you all to enjoy. You can watch in in youtube. English and Spanish captions avivable. Watch the Making Of the game in YouTube. Kind regards, Carlos.Dive into the depths of Koral on May 16May 12, 2019 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunThere are few more enticing video game settings than crystal clear underwater glades, and Koral, an explore-o-puzzle game launching next week has them in spades. It s got sort of an Abzu meets Ori And The Blind Forest look, by which I obviously mean, ahhhh, it s all colourful and gorgeous and there are fish friends. Come and dip your toes in the trailer yourself. I just uploaded a new trailer to the Steam Page and got rid of the ugly last one! :D So, what is left to get a release date for Koral? Well, only two things! On one hand the game is already going to certification on Nintendo Switch. As soon as the game pases certification I will be able to give a release date! I want to release at the same time in both systems so that's why going to certification as quickly as posible on Switch is also mandatory for a Steam release! On the other hand, I am already working on The Making Of Koral, a 30 to 40 min video explaining how Koral was done in a sailboat... with videos from the sailboat! Once those two are done, Koral gets released! :D Oh, and to celebrate, here is a Koral screensaver for you all! :D :D :D Cheers, Carlos. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/33142166/00d52d1afab9fc2666d68d135fbf07b2e4d3db7a.jpgNew Video! Main Menu Gameplay! How many species can you spot? :DFeb 9, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi, Today I've reached a very, VERY important milestone: Content Lock. This means all the content and levels of Koral are done!! So why is the game not released then? Well, there is still one last coat of paint to ensure a 100% awesome experience; minor bug fixing, a better collectibles system, Steam achievements integrations, etc, BUT don't get me wrong! We are closer than ever to a Koral release :D :D To celebrate this milestone I've made a little video showing the Menu of Koral. How many Coral species, plants and animals can you spot? :D You can watch the video on youtube and twitter. You can also find it in the gamepage videos too (for now) Youtube Link Twitter LinkNew Koral Screenshots showing new environments!Jan 2, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHi everyone, how is your 2019 going? Already missing 2018? Still on a hangover from all the Christmas holidays stuff? :D It is never too late for presents and lately I've been working A LOT on Koral and now I can show you 4 new screenshots from the first level of Koral! :D :D See all that color and life? It is not there by default! It will be you, the player, the one to bring life to the seas. Here are a couple of screenshots showing the before and after of this process :) Big hug everyone! Can't wait to show you more. I have really exciting news to share with you today! Koral uses Unreal Engine 4 and today it has been selected by Epic Games (makers of Unreal Engine 4, Fortnite and Gears of War among many others) to get a really generous Epic Games Dev Grant to keep on developing Koral! You can learn more about this here: https://twitter.com/CarlosGameDev/status/1060594662413623299 Aside from this, just wanted to tell you that development is going smooth and I'll have a new gameplay trailer ready soon, really soon :)Koral Making of documentary on a 43 feet boat coming soon!Jul 23, 2018 - Community Announcementshttps://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/33142166/64d52afc95173980edefe213b970864781ccf8ad.jpg Hi, My name is Carlos Coronado, I am a game developer and Koral will be my next released project. Aside from a good beautiful looking game with puzzle elements I also want to raise awarnesess about the state of Coral reefs around the world, so crucial for the ocean. 4 years ago I started scuba diving while traveling on Koh Tao, Thailand. Since then, I travel to scuba dive! I've been in reefs in Mallorca, Tenerife, Girona, Koh Tao, Coron, El Nido, Palawan, Apo, Komodo, Bali, Lombok and many others and with Koral I want you to transport you to those places, some of them unfortunally are dying. In the current development state of the game, all the game mechanics are already done and integrated into the Unreal Engine and I have to begin to design levels and the visual narrative of the game. To do so, I had this crazy idea 3 months ago; I am going to invite another 7 game developers to a boat and I am going to design and begin the integration into the Unreal Engine of Koral's levels in the boat while the awesome gamedevs do amazing stuff of their own too! Oh, and not only that. I am also going to record the process and the experience and put it in my youtube channel for everyone to see! That's why I am inviting you all to subscribe to my youtube channel, link below: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3dYTLIQP8eaNUaK8ta1JVA?sub_confirmation=1 The videos will be available before the release of Koral in the next months :) Feel free to watch the rest of the content too if you want to take a sneak peak of my way of working and developing videogames. A big hug, -Carlos.
