Version 2.0 is here!Jul 17, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsWe're finally done with version 2 of Kingdom of the Dragon! Thanks so much for all of your feedback, we hope you enjoy it! Version 2.0 Changelog: Improved combat with a faster attack animation. The sword swing now feels more "instant", which improves the feel of combat A brand new island to explore just offshore from the first island. Completing this island will give you access to... A world map, with the general locations of each major upgrade in the game New "Lore Books", which will give more backstory into the world and what has happened. Find them all! The backstep move has been taken out. Not many people used it, and it was causing an exploit in the game. Now, the player simply rolls forward when either trigger button is pressed on a gamepad. Tweaked some of the puzzles so the objective is a little more clear Improved the quality of some of the textures Moved the locations of some of the campfires Overall bug fixes and performance optimization. Delta-time will no longer be calculated below a certain framerate. This was causing some of the physics to go crazy at lower framerates If you're a returning player, we recommend starting a new game (though it is not necessary). We really appreciate all the feedback we've received, and we want to make the best game we can possibly make. The launch has exceeded our expectations, and we are SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has taken time out of their life to play our game. Seriously, I can't even begin to to tell you how much it means to us. This game started as an idea we had as teenagers in the 1990's, and to see people playing it now...twenty something years later... is just unreal. Back then, we never could have imagined it. It's just the coolest feeling in the world for us. We're throwing around some ideas we have to continue supporting the game, but we're not quite ready to announce anything just yet. We hope you'll keep checking back occasionally for news. For now, we just want to say thank you so much for your support. We don't want to spoil too much, but we added some major fights and also finalized the inventory screen. The inventory system was a huge project for such a small team, and something we'd been dreading for a while. But it actually turned out way better than we thought it would, and we're really pleased with it! We're continuing to work hard every day to make the highest quality game we can make.
