Its intimidating horns coupled with its spiked tail, neck, and back make this armoured species a formidable challenge for predators, should they wish to take the risk of challenging it. Ankylodocus: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/b8f1abf0be96ce443dc700b359a2b7829f825a35.jpg Ankylodocus, the largest bioengineered species, boasts sharp spikes on its back and a clubbed tail making this gentle giant a thundering presence in any park. Its large stature can be quite intimidating, and a fully grown Gigantoraptor could weigh as much as two metric tons in body mass. The elongation of its legs meant it was adapted to run or maintain speed for an extensive amount of time, making it a dinosaur that could be difficult to flee from. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/1104e9ca2aaccf6e870c73472d7b46c39172ba0b.jpg Utahraptor This carnivore is the epitome of feathered ferocity. Undeniably stunning, but also incredibly lethal, this ruthless predator had scythe-like claws that could stop almost any victim dead in its tracks. One of the largest known raptors, the Utahraptor could grow up to 18 feet long and 4 feet tall. Now its beautiful plumage is coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/40957fdf22645502b8be516136b8445f69e2dc70.jpg Concavenator This dinosaur lived approximately 130 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous period, and was originally discovered in Spain. Its name means "Cuenca hunter with a hump", stemming from the tall narrow hump on the dinosaur's back, as well as a city close to where it was first discovered. The Concavenator has a unique and instantly recognisable profile, but try not to get taken in by its unique look. It's still a highly dangerous hunter! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/87df7ddba11af65ad2f71f496fe0f6905aee83af.jpg Tarbosaurus Inspired by the Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation Netflix Show, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous: Hidden Adventure, and straight to your parks, it's Tarbosaurus, the Alarming Lizard! In this series, we discuss some of the fascinating dinosaurs and reptiles you're able to care for in Jurassic World Evolution 2, including both familiar faces and some new ones, and we're really excited to be able to continue sharing and highlighting them! Today, we'll be taking a look at one of the brand new species making a splash in the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Prehistoric Marine Species Pack on August 10...Archelon! It's not hard to see why Archelon's name means 'Ruler Turtle'; in fact, Archelon remains to this day the largest turtle ever found. Initially discovered in South Dakota in 1895, Archelon is believed to have had a leathery carapace, as opposed to the hard shell most modern sea turtles possess today. With large, strong flippers, it's thought that Archelon was an incredibly fast swimmer. Paired with its hooked beak, this made Archelon an impressive marine reptile. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/a8d5b307d22a6867ff946b20fbf058e8379000bb.jpg A somewhat social species, Archelon will need a few of its own kind in its enclosure to ensure their social needs are met; you'll also need to utilise the new Lagoon Rock Platform coming in the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Prehistoric Marine Species Pack to make certain that they have an appropriate above-water resting spot. Naturally, you'll also want to make sure that Archelon has plenty of fish to feast on if you want to keep them happy - a grumpy prehistoric turtle is the last thing you want on your hands, Park Managers! We hope you enjoyed this introduction to Archelon, and we can't wait to see what enclosures you design for them in your parks. Don't forget you can find out more about the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Prehistoric Marine Species Pack here, and discover the free update that's being released alongside it here. If you want to see Archelon in action before the launch, don't forget to head to our pre-launch livestream on at 16:00 BST August 9, over on Twitch or YouTube! Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok for all things Jurassic World Evolution 2! You can find out more about purchasing Jurassic World Evolution 2 here. When you're in the Hatchery genome editing menu, you'll then be able to choose to only randomise your favourited colour variants, allowing you even more freedom over how your species look in your park! You'll also now be able to favourite specific dinosaurs in your parks. This will allow you to receive notifications when those dinosaurs in particular are performing interesting behaviours, as well as placing a beacon at their current location so you can easily head to them. Your favourited dinosaurs will also appear with a green highlight on your map overview, so you can always check in on them when needed. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/3a0a2c1cbdaabd870a30c4218a45eb8d616dfa41.jpg Placeable Ampit...Prehistoric Marine Species Pack and Update 7 coming August 10Aug 3, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsWelcome, Park Managers, to our latest Species Pack! Introducing the new Jurassic World Evolution 2: Prehistoric Marine Species Pack, coming August 10. Give your guests an unforgettable underwater experience with four new marine species. In this series, we discuss some of the fascinating dinosaurs and reptiles you're able to care for in Jurassic World Evolution 2, including both familiar faces and some new ones, and we're really excited to be able to continue sharing and highlighting them! Today, we'll be looking at one of the upcoming prehistoric species joining us in the Feathered Species Pack, coming on March 30: Yutyrannus! Yutyrannus, a genus of tyrannosauroid therapod dinosaur, lived during the early Cretaceous period in what is now northeastern China, Liaoning Province. Derived from Mandarin Chinese yǔ, meaning Feather and the Latin word tyrannos, meaning tyrant, the name is certainly befitting, as it's one of the largest known feathered dinosaurs! The species name huáli is also derived from Mandarin Chinese, meaning beautiful, which notably references the beauty of the Yutyrannus' plumage.  Dominant and striking, with impressively powerful legs, the carnivorous predator was thought to be a surprisingly social species, preferring to hunt in packs. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/e5fffc9fc14272a6f3a8996c902eb2e1f91946de.jpg Being a social species, keeping the Yutyrannus with a few of it's own kind will keep them content. Keep an eye out though, your Yutyrannus could challenge another over dominance! Make sure you place them in an enclosure with a generous amount of open space, which should also facilitate their need for additional forest coverage. Yutyrannus are natural born hunters, so they'll need live prey to pursue and feed on. Being a carnivorous species, they won't spare your guests, so make sure you have a capture team ready in case of breakouts! Caring and maintaining these new additions to your park will definitely attract guests from all corners of the world, ready to marvel at the Yutyrannus' unique plumage. We hope you enjoyed this introduction to the distinctive Yutyrannus, we're incredibly excited to see the enclosures you build for them in-game. Will you be adding them to your parks? Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok for all things Jurassic World Evolution 2! You can find out more about purchasing Jurassic World Evolution 2 here. The Feathered Species Pack launches March 30, and you can add it to your wishlist here.Free Update 6 Deep DiveMar 23, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHey Park Managers! Welcome to our Update 6 Highlight where we'll be exploring what's going to be included in the upcoming free update for Jurassic World Evolution 2. This update will be free for everyone who owns the game, and will be available on March 30, alongside the launch of the Feathered Species Pack, which you can find out more about here. Let's take a closer look! Remote Viewing Galleries An exciting new addition we have in Update 6 are Remote Viewing Galleries! Introducing brand new ways to decorate your park, we've added two building attractions, the Log Viewing Gallery and the Dome Viewing Gallery. These new building pieces can be placed anywhere in an enclosure to allow your guests to get up close and personal with their favourite prehistoric species. Of course, within the safety of the gallery! Disguising itself amongst the natural enclosure, the Log Viewing gallery is as the name suggests! As you can place these anywhere inside an enclosure, you will need to ensure they are connected to an entrance building using an underground connection. Once they are connected, your guests will be able to journey into these viewing galleries to experience up close dinosaur interactions. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/340e78cdbed2ca6d1e055a99dd58819ee8e54ce3.jpg The dome viewing gallery, much like the log viewing gallery, will also need an underground connection to an entrance building to work as intended. This particular gallery is the perfect addition to the Aviaries. Watch your flying reptiles soar through the sky and if you are lucky, they may even perch alongside your gallery for a unique encounter. We are sure these glass domes will give your guests an entirely new perspective! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/20e97813508d8ac8208bb1519593ee1d410c3516.jpg You can find both of these viewing galleries in the 'attractions' menu. We're looking forward to seeing all the ways you decide to use these new additions in your enclosures and aviaries! Cinematic Camera Mode For those with a keen eye for photography, we've added a new Cinematic Camera Mode. We can't wait to see what you do with this new feature! The cinematic camera will allow you to transition between camera angles and viewpoints across your park to instantly snap those picture perfect views and exciting interactions between your prehistoric species. This mode will be accessed through Capture Mode and you will even be able to add existing overlays of postcards, stamps, logos, letterboxes, filters and guidelines to enhance your photos with a truly personal touch. Make sure to share your screenshots with us once you get a chance to try it out.  Zipline Variants Variants to the Zipline attraction that was first added in Update 1.5.10, on the 1st anniversary of Jurassic World Evolution 2 are also being introduced. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40704806/674d011966c6c0d95621026ad992b00aae023ba7.jpg Now you can choose between the new DFW Zipline or a Jurassic Park zipline variant to decorate your parks with!
